There is something so genuine about your videos. You are simply making videos out of interest, not wanting to make tonnes of money. Thank you for helping me and many others with this.
So cool that you got the voice actor to do your intro
I have no idea how he managed to get him to voice it. Super cool, a "I'm Karl Fairburne and this is my favourite store on the citadel" kind of vibe to it lol.
Thank God for this. I kept wondering the math behind SE4 authentic aiming. SE5 authentic aiming is a walk in the park.
Yup SE5 sniping is easy mode 🤣
Just bought this game for 90% discount! I think this game is more realistic than i thought, can't wait to play this game!
This was actually very useful and well explained,
Using your charts to map the Delise Carbine.
Thank you very much for your work and sharing your charts with us. :)
Glad it was helpful! 👍
I still love that you got Tom Clarke Hill to do your channel intro!! After trying to convince myself to enjoy SE5, and refusing to buy the new one, I reinstalled SE4 and have been playing it again. Best title in the series, imho.
This is absolutely brilliant, genius, great wind tutorial mate, absolutely spot on, massive LIKE from me 👍🏻👍🏻
Top guide friend.👏🏾 im decent at the game but your on another level. Now i need a guide to teach me how to visualise them heads.😀
People are different some are good at visualizing while others aren’t if you are having trouble just keep practicing and soon you will get better
I know this video is a year ago but this guide helped me so much thank you man.
Glad to see its still helping people 👍
@@BrutalBarracuda thank you again man
Great data. You have turned me from sniper recruit to sniper elite. Many thanks.
This is by far the best video on the subject I found. Awesome job! 😁
Thank you for spreading this god-like knowledge, now i can master my skills on SE4
This man is a real sniper
This is awesome! Especially the wind chart. I am at 7:30 now in this video (and just saw the 100+ tipps) and learned more about the game than in over 100 hours of playing SE 4 (and lots of hours in SE 1, 2 and 3). Thanks a lot, man! I owe you a beer! :-)
I put this game off for years & thanks to your guide I'm enjoying it more!
I was way too intimidated to attempt this, until you clearly explained it. You do your research, and it shows! Keep up the great work!
I love Sniper Elite! Lol
Still use this as a referance years later. SE4 is so good. Stay brutal Bara.
I love this game just finished on hard for the trophy cant wait till SE5 rolls out
Really good guide. I can't believe how good you are! Gonna watch the gravity vid next
This was so confusing for me, as I thought I had to line the wind indicator notch up with the head in order to hit! thanks!
you are like a real sniper
You know it’s a SIM type game when you have to create a literal DOPE chart!
You're doing the Universe's work lol
Even though I fancy myself a good aim on A+, this work sheet of yours is gonna be a huge help, thanks!
Damn you are so precise that you even hit the snipers scope. I currently only use the gravity but not the wind but hopefully after that video I am going to learn how to do that too
What a great video. As of today, I'm playing 100% authentic/hardcore, no more breath hints. This video changed the way I play for the better. Thanks!
Great piece of work and very helpful. Thank you! I love this game, a few days ago I eventually managed to complete the 'better than the best" challenge on authentic +, i:e no saves, one life.....but I was on try # 20+ on the Allegra fortress so still lots of practice needed...lol. looking forward to your next video. I appreciate your thoughtful content and all the time and effort these type of videos take.
my physics teacher been real silent since this video dropped
So, this is the theory behind it. Thanks. I've used to use imaginary vertical lines for Springfield from the wind indicator LOL.
Thanks very much for the guide and for the printable wind compensation chart. I'll be using the Springfield as my main throughout the game, but as I only started SE4 last night, it'll take some getting used to.
Nice, welcome aboard sniper! 👍
Wow, this is the best guide I've seen, really explains a lot of things I've been struggling with
I'm starting elite 4 on authentic hardcore and the shooting range became a good freind
Another good tip is that aiming for center mass is often a better option than aiming for the head, since it’s a bigger target with lots of vital organs such as the heart and lungs which are usually a guaranteed kill shot
I'll add to this by saying that lung shots are arguably far more reliable. Center mass is good, but one should ideally aim for the lungs/sides of the chest more than the true center, because heart shots feel extremely finnicky to me in comparison. A good lung shot is by comparison easy to get even by complete accident, so they're a very nice way to execute panicked enemies running around rather than trying to get a more difficult headshot.
yep, with this formula, i now know that without aim assist, I'll rename this game into Infantry Elite 4 and then play it that way
I'm currently trying to complete it on Authentic Plus. I couldn't figure out if the effect is linear, great, great video.
Thanks!
To me the most exciting moment of these games is the time between firing and hitting, when you hope you did your mind math right. I wish there was an option to show the brutal kill cam AFTER hit confirmation. When you fire and you see the animation immediately start, you know you hit, takes a bit of that tension away
Such a nice video and beautiful explanation. Thanks a lot for the help. You wont find such a genuine and awesome tutorial anywhere on youtube.
Nice work, the way you explained it helped a lot. Can't wait to play on authentic!
The best chanel bro! Xd
Definitely
You're blowing my mind mate, well done
"Suppressed ammo drastically increases compensation needed"
The amount of extra compensation needed: "it's becoming increasingly obvious, i can deny it no longer!...I am small."
Amazing video with great tips! And it is simple 😁 Keep up the work
Nice video and tutorial, can see a lot of work has gone into this. I'm just about to start my authentic plus playthrough after finishing on sniper elite difficulty and this will come in handy. Only negative I have is the audio is very, very quiet, so I had to turn my volume almost up to max and when an advert appeared it nearly blew my speakers! 😆
Outstanding effort. Works perfectly.
Excelente video a explicar o vento e a interferência que faz nas munições. Muito prático os desenhos a explicar de forma muito simples como funciona a mecânica do jogo. Muito Obrigado!
Thank you very much. Excelent video 💯
Wow this was an awesome tutorial. Very well done.
That is stellar work, good sir. My sincere compliments!
Now the big question - given the overall wonderfulness of the game and that they allow us to (somewhat) compensate for drop by zeroing the scope, why the heck can we not adjust for windage? I shoot the rifles of this vintage for leisure and even WWII optics have the adjustments you would expect. It's not like it would be hard to code for so it can only be a deliberate design choice and a very confusing one. Of course, actual policy for the Springfield in the war was to set the rifle for 250 or 300 yards and then just aim off from there - that was because the military scope clicks were not distinct enough and you could lose track of where you were too easily. Mind you, the numbers were embossed on the turrets so why you wouldn't just look is another, smaller, mystery.
EDIT: Did a little more digging and that set the zero and leave it approach was the US Army way, the USMC used scopes with bigger more definite turrets. Different philosophies at work :).
Maybe SE5 will let us adjust for wind. A fair few people ask for it so you never know.
Since wind is like probably the most important part of any sniping game, I doubt they will ever let us easily compensate for wind
Bravo, this is very useful and clear.
Thank you sir i gonna love every one of yours tuto and get good at the game in authentic
Nice wind tuto Brutal 👍 well i play with Springfield in Authentic i had some much love for the CarcanoM91 and play with it too in Authentic. I like the LeeEnfield too but its muzzle are very slow and get some a lot of difficulty to get a good shot. (90% of shots are missed with it).
I'll play again with Lee, I did some training with it, made a ballistics table. I am pretty certain 80% of my shots will be hits.
This is masterpiece, your videos really helps me a lot
Thank you so much I was so confused at first but now it makes sense, also luckily I use the Springfield so I can just screenshot your worksheet haha 👍🏻
Thanks for the tutorial. It is quite difficult toget the head counts correct but here's the equation derived based on your theory:
HeadCount = ( 0.000125*D^2 - 0.0175*D + 1.5 ) * W, where D is distance and W is wind notch.
😂 Far too complicated for me! 😂
@@BrutalBarracuda Yes, so now I know I only need to aim 0.44 head away to take out an enemy that is 112 m away when wind is at 0.4 notch 🤣🤣
Interesting, you assumed that at a fixed Windage, the Headcount and Distance exhibit a quadratic relationship, and there is indeed a perfect fit. However, at distances below 100 m, particularly below 70 m, this formula does not work. It makes sense that the shorter the distance, the smaller the Headcount, but the minima of the quadratic function is located at 70 m. This means that as the distance decreases below 70 m, the Headcount increases according to this formula.
@@admiral_xanadu a good spot! Perhaps it is because the headcount theory is an approximation itself and the "perfect fit" is only perfect to the approximation.
This is great. I'm a noob, and it seemed like I was guessing at compensation. Now I know there are "formulas", which I was hoping for in the game. Also, IF you change a rifle, go to the range for a bit to get a feel for any new compensation parameters. Correct?
You dont have to but its certainly a good idea to learn the muzzle velocity of whichever rifle you are using 👍
Excellent explanations! Thanks!!!
This one was enormously helpful. Thank you very much
Great work , thanks for the video. I just finished Sniper Elite 5 in authentic -and tried to Play Sniper Elite 4 on authentic, and did Not get a clue, how I can hit enemies on longer distance.
The system between these two games is complete different
good job ...if you want shooting with great wind try the hardcore setup on mp....get rid of the red dot on options and ask a friend to play the victim in a private lobby...
i like the swedish mauser but nice info on the wind sniping
Briliant and very useful, thank you!
You have a great channel mate. You're awesome.
thanks a lot mate...your guide and tips really help
What a phenomenal video, thanks for the detailed instructions/tips.
Thank you very much for this video. I wish these mechanics were explained in the games. I'm starting an authentic plus run and this helps me greatly!
perfect..just perfect.. thanks mate!
Im level 46 now but ive always used aim assist but i stoped using it for about 2 days ago, and im feeling like im back to start😅, but hey practice and training makes wonders, but i got better and better for each hour
Note: The wind affects the bullet differently on Sniper Elite difficulty and authentic and authentic + difficulty.
Awesome guide buddy!
I bet real snipers carry around this guy's cheat sheet for reference in the field
Hot damn the thing with the imaginary heads is so fucking good!
Nice Work! I love it
Wow. This is incredible. I don't think I'll ever be able to try the game without aim assist tho haha.
You can do it!
This is awesome, thank you !!!
Oh boy, now I can
Beautiful
Me: Sure hope I don't end up on a watch list for all this sniper googling I'm doing.
Also Me: *filling out sniper homework in paint*
😂😂
Brutal!
Very cool video, thanks!!!
Right. With assistant the game can't be entertaining. Longshots are rewarding, on regular or plus.
Yes, on cadet a 400+ meter shot is rewarding when a little red dot shows you exactly where to aim, which would he right on the cross hair.
You can't tell me an S rank long shot with the delisle on authentic plus, achieved on the first shot fired is just as rewarding as one on cadet with the aim assist.
@@arkham0078
It is, but why cadet? Just the sniper elite (Hard), you cannot have fun completing a level without the diamond assist
Is there a type of scope crosshairs that can help
love the intro
awesome guide good job
very well explained; but at 11:35 you state to put the dot in the middle; but imagine you had 100m and 300m worked out and would now deduce 200m and put the line in the middle, you would be off. I don't know if 1/3 - 2/3 would be a good rule of thumb?
What if we could convert your "heads" to a MIL/MOA on the scope reticle, it would be much easier to visualize the large holdover, than counting "heads".
Thanks for this video. :) Do you think these principles will also apply to Sniper Elite 5? If not, do you plan to create a new tutorial after the game's release?
If it doesnt apply then yes i'll be doing a new tutorial in the future 👍
@@BrutalBarracuda Very cool, thanks. As a side-note, it's my personal hope that they add a hardcore mode with a save-on-exit and permadeath feature - it would add so much tension to the missions. :)
Very Good!
Excellent tutorial! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you. 👍
very useful, thanks
Cool guide and I really appreciate it! However, I have one question - how do you actually visualize the heads during actual gamplay? :D
Practise lol
Great tutorial. Really helpful. Would definitely try this game now without the aim assist. Thank you for stopping by my channel.
Thank you 💖
Thank you so much.
Real military snipers aim center mass or simply aim for the enemy's chest that's what I do on the shooting range and in the missions on the sniper elite games!
Really been thinking about getting a regular school notebook at Walmart when I go back and make my own ballistic journal for sniper elite 4.
Yeah iI know, but I like to aim for the head 👌
@@BrutalBarracuda Did you like the comment I posted about the sniper duels that is something I really would like to do in sniper elite 5.
Sniper elite games really educate the players one the origin of the special forces in ww2 call of duty vanguard was to do the same thing but they completely messed it up.
@@tyleringle268 I would have liked that very much, the closest thing we have had to sniper battles is the final part of the Save Churchill DLC for SE3. But now with the Invasion Mode we basically have it albeit human controlled sniper battles.
@@BrutalBarracuda One other thing I whant to mention is that I would like for the game developers to actually take authentic ww2 sniper rifles out to the range and shoot them using the correct ammo for example the 1903 Springfield used the m1 ball ammo and actually test the ballistics like at what range does gravity affect the bullet and at what distance does the wind push the bullet that way authentic ballistic data can be added to the game and do the same for any other sniper rifle what do you think about that?
@@tyleringle268 sounds like a great idea actually 👍
your a legend
Great guide.
I own the deluxe sniper elite 4 and i bought it from steam
Thank you so much!
yeah now am ready for 1k hits 2 notch wind
the math does indeed check out but trying to imagine aiming 11 heads to the side while timing both the wind at the right notch, a sound mask and the movement of the enemy sounds still absolutely impossible
Awesome
your voice reminds me major zero from mgs3 tutorial
good stuff!
