I had a Vega GT, with the split bumper. Looked like a little Camero.
Very Vega!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What are we watching again? I see a guy at the Xmas tree and no cars in sight! Maybe the cameraman needs a new job without a camera in their hand
So did you use the ENFORCERS and how do you like the AFRS ? My winter up grades are AFR heads TRANS BRAKE on my 76 MONZA th-cam.com/video/a9Bu3LkJRlE/w-d-xo.html
Awesome car! Please get some padding on the rollbar behind your head. 👍
I had a 69 gto for 30 yrs, got it in high-school, put in a 70 455 in it. Was a fun car! My dad had a 67 lemans with a 455 stroked to a 474 with 13.1 was a real ripper, ran 10's. My brother had a 70 challenger and 71 demon 340 4 speed yrs back. He now has a 71 challenger with a 440 stroked to 500 cubes and a pistol grip 4 speed plum crazy purple! Luv me some muscle cars!!!! Best of luck with the vega!!!! Sounds like a real ripper!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Man, sounds mean dude!!! Gettin ready for tire 🔥!! Rock on 🤘!
Nice work! Im happy someone is still doing this. Good grief, that sound makes me want to kick my coyote 😍🍻🇺🇲
Nothing like an old school beast with monster cam. I will have to go with EFI over a carb.
Get rid of that fan put in electrical in on there. It's more power
Hah ,hear we have a real man, backing up using only the mirrors; and arm-strong steering!
Very cool car!
I like that quick response, cool car man!
I always love the V8 swapped Vegas. I always wanted to build one with a 87 GN Turbo V6 and or an all aluminum 5.3
Sounds like you have a solid plan. Make sure everything is set where it should be. So you know where the timing is etc.
I found a lot of power just by advancing the timing to 40* … I’m telling you - try it!!!

No need to hold ur head down didn't look bad you'll get where u wanna be at
Thank man, I appreciate it
I love the vega
It's all about the combination Engine Transmission & Rear end gears work as one! Good luck to you time & money you will get it right & be happy. Stay safe out there . God bless.😎🏆
seeing the ca rwould be nice
I had a 72 GT with a 289. Seriously. Freaked people out at gas stations. Back in 87.
LOL brings back warm memories of the late 1970's for me when this was a common thing. Amongst the gear heads! The v8 pintos the the V8 Chevy luves trucks ect... ❤
Dumped Vega wagon in late 70's,was gonna V8 it,moved onto firebirds, but now days Tesla fast, without maintenance
everybody should own at least one Vega
Great Build friend... SUBSCRIBED!
Thank You !
My first car was a 75' Vega GT. Red with white stripe. I put Graiger SS rims with some Fats on the back. It was a nice looking car! Then my brother decided that it needed a 350 in it. If I remember correctly, we used Monza motor mounts and a few adjustments here and there and the motor fit in there pretty nice. I couldn't afford a nice header for it yet, so I ground down the stock, drivers side, manifold and welded a thick piece of Sheet metal over the hole to clear the steering shaft. The motor didn't seem to mind to much the few times I drove it. Then I went into the Air Force and my brother wrecked it...driving like he usually did...WIDE OPEN! He survived... the car didn't. He then put a Very Built Thunderbird 460 in a 73 Vega Wagon... Now that car was SCARY! But he did it right by building a bottom up full roll cage so the car didn't Rip itself apart. I only got to ride in it once...but WHAT A RIDE!
wooo, that's sweet! My brother had a Vega with a 327 back in the day. He put a starter on every 2-3 weeks lol. What rearend are you running?
8 3/4 mopar 391 gears
I get your being so nervous , so many things to check and go over to make sure everything is right and that you didn’t forget something , one little slip of something you may forgot and you can lose it all in a matter of minutes , this happens more often than people know , slight little fuel leak , oil leak , plug wire arcing on something anything little thing , as car guys we know this so tend to double and triple check things before we even for them up .
Dude hold the fucken camera still!!!!! Are you high?????
Im disappointed barely seen Vegas, great video but didn't even seen whole car. I got man cave tin sign on my shed wall Sleeper Vega , sleep you loose. Roth's decal on hood. Engine purrrrs.
Robert Duvall is a drag racer? I'll subscribe to that. Love that Vega
You may want to get an air fuel meter so you can get the carb adjusted just wright. Have you ever thought of changing to E 85 fuel? Keep up the great content.
You need to ditch that plastic fan . Reason they will seperate and then they become a bomb and if your lucky you won't be under the hood and reving the engine . This comes from experience
Wow, good sound.
Back in high-school in 1980. My girlfriend and I were sitting at a light in my 1970 cuda when a Vega pulled up next to us with what I thought were two fake 4brl carbs sticking out of the hood. Light turned green and I never saw him again. My girlfriend asked, what was that and I said, I have no friggin idea.
😂 excellent. Had a similar experience with an AMX. Found out later it ran mid 10s in the early 80s. Was driving a 69 GT Fastback 302 C4 with 4.10 9". Had the exact same conversation 💯🍻🇺🇲
No friggin idea then howd you know it was a vega?
Nice content, would love to see a video on the Gingerbread man!
Just found your channel, subscribed. I was wondering what size motor are you running? Building a 289/308 stroked for my little 64 Falcon and I was going to have a pair of cast heads worked but I have been considering aluminum. Did the AFR's make a big difference?
My thought was that the timing comes in too fast when you do a stab. My Holley 780 had a huge vacuum snap if you stabbed it, causing the vacuum advance to violently pull the advance on spark timing. Just for an instant, but it still produced a short lag.
I totally get it nothing and I mean nothing beats that first drive! Good job
Premium!!
SOUNDS GREAT
Awesome VC《☆》Congratulations👍🏾🍺🤳V8 Vegas are Badass✌🏼😎☯️
Love the Vegas I had one in 83 that I put a 327 in it .....I subscribed ...like it
Sounds f.n badass man!!!
It ain’t you , every time I plan to get something done in x amount of time it takes 2 or 3 times as much time to get what I had planned done . Murphy’s Law . I always liked that Body Style , It looks the Nuts and sounds the same way ! Keep doing what your doing !👍
Congratulations on your Success ! You obviously are a great tuner from years of experience. I know what you mean about the Heat , I’m in Mass. about 700 miles No. of Maple Grove as we’ve been there and it was hot here for a long while too. I love the Sound of that Engine and it’s response ! Keep up the great work .👍
Thank You !!
It sounds brutal. Did the AFR heads improve everywhere or do you see the most increase at high rpm's?
TH-cam won't let me like your video
Looks amazing man
