You’re welcome, there’s a ton of vides on YT on bulb lasagna bute never came across the journey of a same pot from planting to flowering . so I wanted to make my own😁. 🤫 sneak peek( will be filming the deconstruction of this pot tomorrow , excited to see what happened under there in a year). will post soon, 😊
Thank you so much for the updates, I'm watching videos for days now and no-one is showing the outcome! This is so helpful! I have Dutch iris, daffodils, hyacinths and crocus, I believe they can work all together, as I watch your pots. But I also have freesias. Do you know if they have to be somewhere alone, or I can put them with all the others? Can I leave them in the same pot year after year? Thank you again!💜 (I live in Greece which is like zone 10 I think)
You are welcome😊, I faced the same issue when starting-hence these videos😇. Freesias can be invasive as they are capable of self seeding, I personally would'nt plant them in a lasagna. It would be nice to plant them alone in a group for bigger impact. yes you can leave your bulb lasagna year after year. bulb lasagna is really a way to help us gardeners do something amzing every year the cheat way 😁, looks like you put in so much effort .
Thankyou 😊. It was supposed to be all blue but tulips cane up looking more pink 😆. I had it all planned for the front porch to be blue and white, but again too beautiful to complain 😇
Thankyou and Thanks for subbing! yes I will be definitely saving the bulbs, for them to come back next year they need to soak in all the energy via foliage, I will be doing next flowering updates the after care as well, please be on a look out. I still have the alliums to bloom.
Nice video. I did bulb lasagna planting for the first time also with crocus, hyacinths and daffodils in one container and tulips, daffodils and crocus in a second. Both look amazing and is a much welcome sight after such a frigid winter. Do you plan on transplanting any of the bulbs into your garden bed after blooming or will you treat them as annuals and discard? If the former, please do a video😊 Thank you
thankyou!😊. your bulb lasagna sounds interesting too👍🏻.yes nature is so just amazing! no garden lover would discard anything that has a sign of life😁🙈. I will let the foliage soak in all the goodness from the sun and will keep them for next year. I shall definitely do an update!
thank you 😊. the size of the container will depend on the number of bulbs you want to plant. My container size is 38 cm. be generous with the number of bulbs and you shall have a great display. i choose plastic containers for ease in moving around. but you can use any type of container you like.
Thankyou 😊. I am afraid you will not get the best results in terms of flowering in hot climates. Tulips need a cold winter ( below and almost freezing ). And temps around 10c are best for the tulips to flower. So I believe pune climate is too hot for the tulips. I hope it helps
Please suggest how to carry astromaria in two days journey..they r potted in planting bags nd climate is warmer where i need to carry them. I hve 16 bags..
I have never grown astromeria before, so can’t guide anything regarding it. But from my general knowledge, I suppose you can thoroughly water your plants a day before digging . After digging them pack the complete root ball in ziplock bag/ plastic bag( make sure the soil is moist enough when u pack). Well watered rootballs should easily survive a two day journey, even if its warm if u tightly pack the rootball in plastic so it retains moisture. I hope it helps
@@SanaAsGARDEN thanks for ur response mam... Well i suggest Astromaria as well for you . pls try it. I am fan of Asiatic Lily though. I have packed one bag full of bulbs by following the steps told by you. Its April and i believe i have to put them all in Refrigerator till October. Will they survive till October? Also can i put them directly in soil instead of keeping them in Refrigerator? Temperature goes by 40-45 degree in june n july. And truely speaking m obsessed with the number of Bulbs u have that u showed in the video... whenever i watch that i feel like being greedy.. hoping for an answer to my question above and expecting more useful videos on flowers on ur channel..
You’re welcome. I shall try and grow astromeria in future hopefully. asiatic lilies are just amazing and they yield a lot every year. I myself get surprised at the amount of bulbs I have, I started from 9 bulbs only. yes unfortunately, they have to be stored away in a cool place before planting, the bulbs need atleast 8-10 weeks of chill to perform well. If you want to keep them in soil try planting them in a heavily shaded area and water them regularly so they don't dry out, but again that will not provide it the " winter chill" in a 40-45 degree weather🤷🏻♀️. give it a go both the ways and let me know the results in future.
@@SanaAsGARDEN i really wish u make videos on astromaria mam...and can u provide me any link or anything where i can send u my lily bulb's collection and also different vibrant varieties of lilium
Thanks for showing what the pots looked like as they grew.
