You're welcome, I am glad it was helpful. you can water your containers after planting. after that only water when you feel the soil is too dry to touch, water from rain and snow should be more than enough generally over winters. you can place your containers in the garden anywhere, you can keep them in a protected area if you are expecting a worst winter or if there is fear of any animals
