The "Beaver," the single most iconic bush plane of all time, is an all-Canadian design built by de Havilland of Canada. As the old saying went, the Beaver was your "half ton truck with wings" and its larger cousin, the Otter, was your "one ton truck..." These aircraft have, for over six decades, been absolutely essential to the Canadian economy as the vast majority of Canada's uninhabited North is not accessible by road. On a side note, American actor Harrison Ford (of Han Solo fame) has one among his collection of aircraft and calls it his personal favorite... "the rugged spirit of the wilderness embodied in a thoroughbred Canadian design."

The new The Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider will be a massive game changer which will pack the Massive Ordnance Penetrator bomb, the B-61-12 thermonuclear gravity bomb, and the Long Range Stand Off (LRSO) nuclear-capable cruise missile. Note It is only one part of a family of strike systems. The Air Force conceived Raider as one piece in an overarching architecture of systems designed to support long-range strike missions That “family” of systems (as the Air Force calls it) includes air frames, munitions, reconnaissance systems, electronic warfare platforms, and resilient communications channels. Some features of this architecture, such as the role played by reconnaissance satellites, are not publicly discussed. B-21 will have the functionality to tap into any feature of this architecture that is useful in accomplishing its strike missions.

I stood at Biggin Hill with my lad a few years back. Saw a Vulcan flanked either side by 2 Typhoons. It was the loudest noise from engines I will ever hear in my life. The Phoons turned on after burners went vertically in the just as they were about to pass us. I'm telling you, the ground was shaking when the Vulcan flew slowly pass. Sweet is the correct way to describe it. Not sure the Vulcan can carry the latest weapons or if it could, carry then very far.
Nice thought though. But the UK government believe that the sub is the best platform to launch our nuclear deferent so i can totally why the UK doesn't have strategic bomber of their own. Because we sure know that could build one just as good as the Americans.

B2 spirit can not develop even half the speed of the Tu160 and carries a load almost half as much. Yes, it is theoretically inconspicuous, but only theoretically. A serious air defense system it will not pass, it will be perfectly seen and destroyed. At the same time, the Tu160 may not enter the air defense zone at all. The Use of X101 cruise missiles with a range of up to 5500 kilometers allows you to solve a wide range of tasks at a safe distance without using any stealth. Although these missiles are of course much more expensive than conventional bombs.

My favorite bomber is still the Bear. It's the Chuck Norris of airplanes.

It was a remarkable solution, using technologies at hand, to a strategic need many thought beyond Soviet technologies of the time.

@Archangel Migel For a jet, however, the B-52 isn't as exceptional as the Tu-95 is for a turbo prop (literally the fastest non-jet aircraft ever made).

@Archangel Migel As they first flew during exactly the same year, it is rather hard to call one an "imitation" of the other. As per which has destroyed more targets, that is a result of foreign policy as much as it is of the aircraft. Russia simply has not embarked on many foreign wars where they felt compelled to actually use their strategic bomber force. The cruise missile capability is one the Bear also has. Most effective strategic bomber of all time? So, in your view, the B-52 has performed a greater role in the U.S. military than the B-17, B-24, B-29 etc.? That makes sense.

A single Tu-160 with 12,300 km (7,600 mi, 6,600 nmi) practical range without in-flight refuelling, carry 12 kh 101/102 nuke payload range 4500-5500km..
Who need stealth when you can launched standoff missile from great great distance and return to base safely..
    Think smart.

What range B2 standoff missile ?
How many weapons load B2 can carry ?
Before you talk nonsense..please check info about Tu160 and Kh101/Kh102..
Why this aircraft being no1 for weapon load and speed for bomber, jamming and range with minimal support.
About the missile this aircraft carry, check how far this missile can go, weight of the warhead and if this is missile Kh family are STEALTH ?
      After that you can comment..

Все очень правильно расставлено. Я бы еще на третье место B-52 поставил. Твой путин за все время ни одного стратегического бомбардировщика не построил... То, что представлено - это старая советская техника. Китайская копия Ту-16 и то посовременнее будет.
