Thank you so much for your kind support - it means a lot to me!!
Totally agree
I also totally agree, so many helpful exercjses that are not too hard to do and are very effective!😊 Many thanks!!
Just for that I'm not subscribing. He's not the only one. You've not done your research thoroughly
@@AhtuMondello Awee sorry you feel that way . Have a nice day !
I can't describe my relief that your recommendation wasn't planks!
I'm 65 and I like planks.
Hahaha I thought the same thing
I liked your analogy of core body strength as an anchor, which is very true.
Absolutely!
The best physio channel for any age group. Older people who have never incorporated exercise, etc into their lifestyle will benefit greatly and safely from your videos. Many younger people can also improve posture, mobility, balance and strength with your great content. Loving your videos and 3 tip Friday, thank you Will.
Wow--this is a great exercise! I've been looking for something that's not a sit-up or a crunch. Thank you so much, Will, for all that you do for us.
So pleased you liked it - very happy I could offer something new!
What a great exercise! Thanks Will!
Thank you Will just perfect judy
❤f!
After a spinal fusion, rods, screws, and all, I was told not to twist or bend too much. Besides planks, I don't see much out there for core strength that doesn't include that. This was so helpful, thank you!
So pleased my video was able to offer something new!
What a great explanation of how the core works and why we need to keep it strong. I really enjoy your videos and your book. Thank you Will.
Thank you so much for supporting my work, I'm so pleased you've enjoyed it - wishing you all the best :)
I just found you and I've just ordered your book on Amazon. This is exactly what I need. Thank you.
Thank you for purchasing my book, I hope you find it full of interesting and useful content! Wishing you all the very best :)
You've got some great videos... Just subscribed. I'm 68 and these are very useful. Thank you for all you do!🥰
I'm 68 myself. I suffered a stroke in 2020 and I have some serious balance issues. I agree, this guy has great videos. He's my new go-to online PT. --Cindi
Thank you for subscribing! I'm so pleased you've enjoyed my videos :)
Thank you so much! I recently had surgery to repair ventral hernia and also bariatric surgery. I was concerned about flabby skin around core and also wanted to do everything I could to strengthen abdominal muscles so hernia repair was successful. I showed this to my surgeon and he approved it. I have found it has done wonders. Thank you again. Looking forward to your other videos.
Thank you for getting my tips checked by your healthcare provider - I'm pleased they are suitable and beneficial for you, wishing you all the best in your continued recovery journey :)
I started doing this then added to it. So, with the band on the right side I push my arms forward, like he shows, then turn at the waist to my left. Great exercise
Smart
I have my moments :)
But he kept saying the exercise is anti-rotational, so to twist would seem to miss the point. I wish he would answer this.
@@missmayflower twisting to the opposite side that is
Glad to see something that doesn't require sit ups which tends to slip my back out. Thanks ❤
Trying to figure how how to do this in my home setup without running out and buying more stuff... Thanks for all your videos. Very motivating.
I’m in my 30s but I love your videos. You provide a lot of explanation and information. 👏
Great reasoning; you will be +50 one day
Thank you for watching!
Thank you!
Luv, luv, luv your channel!
Clear and concise, your
exercises are simple and affective.
Having Costochondritis, makes crunches, and other exercises out of the question for me.
It seems that you consistently, seek out and share the most affective and least complicated exercises.
Thank you.
And, you’re adorable.
All those years in the gym and I've never been introduced to this exercise. Looking forward to adding it to my regular routine and seeing my core strength improve. (And who knew what a clever artist Will is on top of his other amazing qualities? 😀) Thank you so much, Will! I'm definitely going to share this video.
I hope some of my other talents are stronger than my artistic ones! I'm glad my video was able to introduce something new and I hope it proves beneficial :)
Thank you very much for this simple but most effective way of working the core 🙏
Very happy to share my work!
Thanks so much, Will. I recall doing something similar to this when in PT some years ago, so this is a great REMINDER! Cheers!
So pleased my video was able to bring this exercise back to your attention!
Another great video! Thanks Will. Its so helpful to to get these tips - I've learned so much being a subscriber and following you. I also am really enjoying your 3 tip Friday email. You have made such positive impact on my life and I am very grateful to you for all the work you put into your videos and your newsletter. Aloha!
Thank you so much for subscribing and watching, I'm so pleased my videos and emails have been able to offer interesting new information! It's fantastic to hear what an impact my work has had, that really makes it all worth it! Wishing you all the best 😄
Great content as always, when I do this movement I am feeling much more in arms and not so much core. Perhaps you can offer something I can look at why this is so?
Tk you very much. I have seen people doing this in the gym, so now I understand and will start doing it myself. Tk you again. You are a great pedagogue
Happy to hear my video was able to shed some light on what they're doing - I hope you find it helpful also :)
Yes! Thank you again Will!
My pleasure!
Thank you gor another great video. Short but incredibly useful. Honestly, thank you 🌞
So glad it was helpful!
What a great movement. Is it OK do do this if you have a QL strain? Thanks for the video!
Cheers❤
Have bands and door handle, will definitely try this one. Tx Will!!
Wishing you all the best!
Thank you Will, this is perfect! I have my band set up and will be doing this on the daily.
Great to hear!
Excellent exercise, thanks mate! I love your videos. I'm 51 and do reformer pilates which helps me a lot. But your exercises are great for active recovery in between those workouts. ❤
So pleased you find my videos helpful - keep up the great work you're doing and I hope my videos continue to offer additional benefit!
Gosh, Will, i needed this so badly! I happen to have a couple of bands...even a red one!
Along with the exercises I've been given from the PT's, this will help so much! It's so much easier than any of the core exercises I've seen.
Thank you so much! I'm off to practice! ❤❤
Yes, having a bunch of therabands is a sign of a bit too much familiarity with the PT department.
I'm 80 with a hip replacement, sepsis and bacterial meningitis, so I need a LOT! LOL😂
Will has been a great help!
I'm so pleased my video came at the right time! And I'm pleased you have the bands ready to get started. I hope this move proves beneficial for you - wishing you all the very best :)

Thank you for the advice from this short video
Very happy to help!
Will, you are a gem! Thank you!
Thank you so much!
A safer variation of an exercise I was taught at the gym. Perfect! Thank you!
So pleased I was able to offer a safer alternative :)
Great usefull videos, thanks a lot !
Happy to help!
Any suggestion for setting this up at home? I don’t have a table like yours
THANKS, Will.
You're welcome!
It would be great to see this demonstrated on a cable machine to be sure to do it correctly
Oh you're right, who knew ageing equalled having your lower back feel like a door hinge due to pure overuse to do friggin anything worth doing!❤
Anti-rotation movement; new vocabulary for me. Thank you for your explanations.😅👏💐
Very happy to help!
Hope you pick up this request. I suffer from what is sometimes termed “a shin splint”. Pain between knee and ankle. Are there any exercises to make this discomfort go away.
I really like this exercise Will, it makes a lot of sense. I'll give it a go. Thanks !
Wishing you all the best :)
Thank you ,this is credible, will try this to train my core without lying down.👍👍👏🏻👏🏻❤️
I hope it proves beneficial for you!
Another good one, thanks!

Not 50 yet but am not in good health
and there aren't many excercises I am allowed to do. Will check with my fysio but this looks like just the ticket for my core!
Really been enjoying your videos's and been training my ankle dorsiflex. Thanks so much for the clear explanation, great to understand which muscles are important for what so I can get older as healthy and strong as possible.
Thank you for checking with your physio before starting any new exercises - so pleased you're enjoying my videos and that you've found them helpful - I hope they can help to keep you as healthy as possible!
Question. I have a case of Diastasis Recti. Would you suggest this exercise in helping to heal it?
Would this be a suitable for a 9 year old? My granddaughter is weak on her left side and has little core strength due to cerebral palsy. It might be a great exercise to do together.
Thank you for presenting stretches and exercises in a way that not only makes sense, but is also motivating.
Heyyy wil thank you I’m definitely going to try this 👍
I hope you find it beneficial!
Great. Thank you.
You're welcome :)
can you recommend a suitable band please? (I live in China and will need to buy one online)
and... I am also learning to sing (improve my tone) for which I am doing breathing-type exercises. Do you reckon this exercise you are showing will help?
Enjoyed your style and clarity
Many thanks

Wow😯This is first time that I’ve understood a standing abdominal exercise. Before this video, I thought I had to always lay down to work abdominals. Your explanation was excellent❤I love it. I just hit subscribe!
I'm so pleased I was able to offer some interesting new information! Thank you for subscribing, I hope you find my future videos just as helpful :)
I had a stroke of the brain stem three years ago so no exercises involving the neck. This just might be what I’ve been looking for to get my abdomen back in shape. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm sorry to hear about the stroke you experienced - I hope my video proves beneficial for what you're looking for!
This exercise is a really good one. Thanks Will.
Great to hear it!
Is there a specific stage during the press for exhale?
Great exercise, thanks. ❤
Happy to help!
Great
Great ❤❤❤❤
Thankyou. I need to have a go. I do have a weak core. Infact a weak everything 😊. Plus it seems simple enough to do 🤞
I hope it proves beneficial for you!
Is there a way to modify this that is not so hard on the hands?
Great move and exercise. But you should probably show where to anchor the band on something that everybody would have in their home.
Excesise for psoriatic arthritis plzzz
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!! 😇🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕💕😊😎👍
You're more than welcome!!
I have just bought your book as I found your videos very informative. If only you were closer to Portishead in Nortj Somerset 😅
Agree, wish he was in my city
Thank you for purchasing my book, I hope you find it packed full of interesting content - I'm pleased my work is able to help those who I am not able to see in person :)
Considering the fact that a specially designed gym machine where you twist in the waist left and right would do nothing but harm to your spine this is a nice alternative.
Pleased I can provide a safer alternative!
I know its not relevant to this video, but when i walk, my right foot tends to roll under, is there an exercise to correct it?
Thanks @HT-Physio. Should we change sides during this exercise?
Yes, you turn around and work on the other side.
How would I do this without a sturdy bannister or door handle?
Any exercise without equipment?
Will, can you do this seated?
I discovered your channel a few months ago. I am 75. I have loved so many of your exercises and they do help. However, I just don't see how I could possibly do all of the exercises I need to do 3 times a day. Knees, blood pressure, lower back, core, glutes, etc. What's the best way to manage the execution of all these movements?
You don't need to do any exercise three times a day! Once is enough. Every exercise twice a week. And you can rotate. Some Mondays and Wednesdays, some Tuesdays and Thursdays. And you're done

He is a physiotherapist and an expert for exercises for over 50s. He does not have to that age to have that skill and knowledge. If do u expect your doctor to have your diseases to be able to help you?

Pallof hold with a press
Excellent suggestions and explanation. I just wish doctors would change the name from "core" to "midpoint"! I'm not an APPLE!
How is this different than standing in this position and using a set of dumbbells to do progressive overload?
Because you're using your core to avoid rotating, not just holding weight out in front of yourself. If you twist your body while holding weight out front, you could very well injure your back.
#Harlow love you from #India
Sending greetings to you in India!
@@HT-Physio 🥰❤️🙏🏻🫶🏻
This seems very much like a Pallof Press. Am I incorrect?
Whish you would mention Tai Chi
They do this exercise at circuit training I hate it with a passion it really hurts an elbow injury I have so will pass on this one!
😀
FYI, we call that the belly button here in the colonies.
Would have been better with your shirt off, so we could actually see your core working. 😊

like most amateurs he just talks and talks, gotta get those u8tubeview seconds.
