Sam & Max: Hit the Road (PC/DOS) "Longplay" 1993, LucasArts (CD Version)

Sam & Max Hit the Road is a graphic adventure video game released by LucasArts during the company's adventure games era. The game was originally released for MS-DOS in 1993 and for Mac OS in 1995. A 2002 re-release included compatibility with Windows. The game is based on the comic characters of Sam and Max, the "Freelance Police", an anthropomorphic dog and "hyperkinetic rabbity thing". The characters, created by Steve Purcell, originally debuted in a 1987 comic book series. Based on the 1989 Sam & Max comic On the Road, the duo take the case of a missing bigfoot from a nearby carnival, traveling to many Americana tourist sites to solve the mystery.

I appreciate the fact that you took the time to look at things and talk to people at length. I've seen other playthroughs where they skip most of that and it cuts the dialog in half, taking a lot of the charm this game has to offer away.

One of the funniest games next to "Day of the Tentacle" and "Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist". I still have my original discs with this one and all the other LucasArts releases.

Never played this one in the 90s but played dott.. Bernard or look-alike at counter of rest stop is curious but in other playthroughs he has a mustache and in this one he doesn't 🤔

you know, with this gameplay, unlike the one from the adventure gamer, i get to learn what the game is actually about!
the guy at the gator land, the lady in the mystery vortex, the guy at the giant ball of twine and the siamese guys all had a bigfoot that suddenly was gone (prior to that they were mistreated) and sam and max are all finding their hairs and clues to try to find bruno. plus conroy who's hunting them.
in the other gameplay i only saw him solving all the puzzles and stuff, but not seeing the dialogues that does the questions or hints that leads you to solve them. i'd say i learned more of the story with you than TAG
