I did this and the true tone worked, but the phone still says the display is an unknown part. Do you get the same warning? Or is it from a more recent update?

It will give you that message regardless. Only way to remove it is to have apple do the screen replacement, sadly

Didn’t see the True Tone as the light was too bright to see 🙈🙈🙈
