  • In this video I cover what no one tells you about the PA school application, such as the cost of applying to PA school, emotional rollercoaster after submitting your CASPA application, PA school interview(including some PA school interview tips) etc.. I will continue to make videos about the PA profession, I am planning to make a video about physician associate application mistakes (CASPA mistakes) and what I am planning to do to prepare for PA school. Once PA school starts I will be posting vlogs such as week in my life as a PA student to hopefully provide some insight on what PA school is really like.
    Comment below if you have any questions and I will try to respond as quickly as possible! :)
    The views expressed here on are my own and not those of USC/KSOM.

    Thank you so much for sharing your perspective! I am currently applying this cycle and I 100% couldn’t agree more on the process. It’s good to know that my experience is a shared experience with someone else. 🙏🏽
    I’ll also be interviewing with USC, my top choice! Perhaps our paths will cross in the near future.

    Thanks for your insight!! Do you have any tips on what to do when you start blanking during an interview, or how to prevent it?

    • @catpa-s3387
      @catpa-s3387  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am honestly not the best at interviews/speaking articulately haha but from researching interview info I would say that if you blank out ask for a minute to think that question over(I def did this). I am not sure how to prevent it 🙃 but try not to memorize your answers - some people have said they did this & it caused then to forget it all if they forgot the first part of what the memorized! Tbh, I personally did memorize a lot of things & I didn’t have this problem but I think that caused me to sound a bit rehearsed sooo wouldn’t recommend. Sorry if that wasn’t super helpful but an overall tip that helped me with interviews is researching/asking the program what type of interview it is/if it is closed or open interview. I think this helped me better prepare for the interview & help to lessen my anxiety bc I knew a general idea what kind of questions to expect! 🌸 If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask! ☺️

    Could you tell us what resource did you use for the GRE ? Thank you for the information. Good luck with PA school.

      I utilized these resources for the GRE. But if you are trying to save some money, I used the free Maggosh flashcard app and it had a lot of overlapping words with the Manhattan Prep Flashcards that I bought! In addition to this make sure the utilize the free practice exams on the GRE website and I would suggest you buy the additional exams(I didn't do this but I wish i did!).

    Hey! How is it going? Did you finish your prereqs from undergrad and or did you do all or some extra classes after undergrad for prereqs at cc

    • @catpa-s3387
      @catpa-s3387  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was a bio major in undergrad so most of the prereqs we were required for my major! The only 2 I did at a CC was the Anatomy & Physio series & Spanish series(this was only required for 1 of the programs I applied to)! Hope this helps!! 😊

    Hey can a person from India get into PA school after high school?

    • @catpa-s3387
      @catpa-s3387  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi so I am not knowledgeable about this so definitely reach out to the schools you are interested in. But for most programs you need a Bachelors degree first and if it’s from a foreign country you must take an additional exam. There are a few programs that include both the bachelors & masters degree(PA) but I am not sure if/what the additional steps you may have to take! I hope that helps but definitely reach out to the individual programs you are interested in & they will probably have much more information to provide you bc PA apps are not very streamlined! ☺️
