Thanks Paul. My weak video skills kind of force me to be direct lol I don't have patience for music, slick production, etc. so I try to concentrate on the photography, which I assume is why folks are here. Thanks for watching!
Nice demo. Try also using the TAv mode. This mode is unique for Pentax. You set the aperture and shutter speed, and the camera will set the ISO for you.
I have other videos with TAV use, but I typically go with manual after so many years of using digital. But the TAV mode is great for this type of thing.
Agreed! I shoot predominantly RAW, and edit in Lightroom, but nothing at all wrong with the in-camera processing Steve, other than the screen is just too little for me to edit lol but that's the same for any camera as far as my eyesight is concerned!
I have found my K70 to be a good low light camera my go to low light lenses are a Takumar 50mm1.4 and a Rokinon 20mm1.8 both are manuel focus lenses and work well with the K70
Yes, the one thing I wish I had mentioned in the video was I was using a high starting aperture lens. A low aperture prime would be much better for this. And I do enjoy a manual lens! Thanks for the comment!
Super video. I have this camera and lens so will try out some of your ideas. I don't have a lot of money to throw around so I try to find lenses at a bargain. I was lucky enough to find the 18-135 on facebook marketplace for $100 bucks in excellent condition. If you have any recommendations for good lenses that can be had for cheap I'd love to hear about them. Thanks in advance.
Thanks Andre. The video isn't very good with the K-70, and is very bulky for vlogging. It's a great 'camera' just not so great for high quality video. The video is fine for personal use, and nice to have, nothing to be ashamed of by any means, but there are better options for vlogging. I typically just use the gopro 7 black to keep it light and easy. Thanks!
My kind of photography enjoyed your outing with the Pentax K70.
Thanks for watching, and the compliment! It’s definitely a more than capable camera!
Another great video ! Dig the way you just get on with it !!

Very nice Photos!
Thanks! I enjoy the freedom of no tripod, but certainly would have been 'technically' better with one I suppose. I appreciate the compliment!
Fun camera to shoot with especially with the in camera processing. The infrared is pretty cool

@@DozierGraphic I shoot JPG+RAW but that infrared filter off BW in Pentax is pretty amazing, At times it makes a picture a keeper!
Good one, Jason! Thank you.
Thanks Cheryl! Glad you liked it! Will continue to crank them out (as long as I can! lol)
@@DozierGraphic You’re welcome Jason. Revealing settings is educational, no matter what camera you use.
@@DozierGraphic crank them out… lol
Great shots!! What are you using to film these videos as you shoot? Is it strapped to your chest? It's such a fun perspective.
Go Pro 7 Black on a gopro vest. Hope that helps.

Your comment will make me buy it cos I need a cam for a low light studio
I have the FA 50mm f1.7 lens and it is super sharp. My all time favorite lens.
I have the 50mm 1.7 lens as well but prefer the 35mm 2.4 on my crop sensor camera.
Excellent! BTW, you never experienced any of the shutter black out problems that so many owners have expressed in reviews?
Not at all TriX- but I haven't really paid attention to it. I suppose it could have occurred without me catching it, but as far as I know, no problem.

Even if you have the cash to throw around, I like to have just one lens that I go-to for the most part, keeps it simple/stupid for me lol
Do you edit your photos afterwards?
yes, everything I shoot with digital is shot in RAW and editing in Lightroom for best flexibility. Thanks!
@@DozierGraphic looks good. I like the natural look
Did ya feel safe out in those alleyways at night?
Small towns aren't the problem. Larger cities, that I wouldn't do! lol
Why don't you vlog with this camera?🤔 Then it will be a good test😃 Regards!😉
