Got the 2.97 t56 swap kit for my gt350 but i also got my rear gear changed to a 4.56 because im staying na for awhile. 2.97 with the rear stock 3.73s would be way to long for na power.
My plans are to stay NA max effort all motor, so would a stage 2 BC be worth it or would an upgraded clutch, driveshaft, and shifter be sufficient for a stock MT82?
I had alot of problems with the mt82. I ordered the t56 magnum and it was a night and day difference. My car makes about 900 rwhp on pump gas and methanol. With 110 octane it puts down 994 rwhp with the meth injection. Not sure what it makes on nitrous. Will be run a 200 shot. Should make close to 1200 rwhp. The mt82 didn't want to shift at 7800 rpm. Just bite the bullet and go with the t56 magnum. The mt82 transmission is a Chinese pos.
Don't get the ben calimer trans...it's an overhyped, issue riddled transmission. ...Noisy, non hardened 5th and 6th gears leading to breaking, still 2nd and 3rd gear lockout issues,harsh vibration bad enough to cause your engine to throw codes,no warranty, and bad customer service.

True, most guys that do the swap are at the point where the stock trans says ✌🏽. 4.56 had to be insane in that car

Run it until it breaks brother, shifter and clutch for sure. Upgrade when it breaks

I would love a t56 magnum, the mt82 just feels like it holds back so much because your worried of it breaking
