Wow, finally you came to my city, I hope you enjoyed your stay :) As for Škodas, yeah, they might look OK but that is because they get a complete renovation once in a while; but not all, and some still look quite bad both outside and inside. Sadly, public transit has been neglected in Vilnius for as long as I live, and good changes come really slow here. And you probably noticed that for this size of city there's no tram, and no decent city railway, and also no plans to do any of those, and that makes it double sad. Well the car drivers took over the municipality so it's bad news for public transit :) Yeah, I'm saying depressing stuff, so I must say something positive... 35:10 About the driver who raised his middle finger at you... As a bus fan from Asia, I can relate to the fact that there are many bus drivers in some countries who don't like photos. :( In Asia, there are no direct insults like in Vilnius, but drivers sometimes make bad faces, ask why the photo was taken, and ask it to be removed. In countries with a developed reporting system, if you take a picture of a driver who violates traffic laws and report it to the authorities, you receive a small reward. (This is bad! It makes everyone distrust each other. 👎) I also enjoyed taking pictures of buses and vintage cars in the past, but gave up my hobby two years ago after encountering an angry SUV driver on the road. This SUV driver mistook me for a parking enforcement officer and got angry with me for taking his picture. I showed him the deleted photos and then left. 😰 In fact, these types of problems stem from many misunderstandings and are related to society and politics. One thing is certain: the tendency is worse in countries with poor economies or those that have experienced dictatorships.
