thanks for the kind words. You need a personal facebook account to have a facebook organization page, so NO you cannot delete the personal account. In fact, they work together nicely. The organization page is the face of the org, and your personal account will act as the administrator of that page. If you want, you can create a stock personal account - something with no real information, and tie it to a simple and nondescript address.
Hi Craig. Thank you for the tutorial. I made a mistake choosing organization, charity organization. Now I can’t start a fundraiser. Do you know how to convert it to non profit? I tried to change it to non profit. It still didn’t show when I tested it for a fundraiser. Please help. Thank you
@siouxsie1954, once in your Facebook page, go to the admin panel in the top right of the page. You'll ee an area where you can manage admins. You'll need to invite another admin by their Facebook profile, if you're not friend Ith them you'll need to friend them first and then invite them to become and admin of your page.
Great Video Craig. I don't remember seeing the "get started" button. I think I have my page almost ready, but I don't see anyway to send friend requests. Does it have to be published to do that?
Anyone know how to make a non-buisness Facebook page to be used as a memorial page? The only option I see is an automatic business page. Those are very restricting when you post any content.

That is not true. First, Facebook pages REQUIRE a personal account. With Facebook, you start with a personal account then create a brand or organizational page. Once you have a brand or organization page you can control access to different members with different permissions. You can add a manager, poster, agency for ads and other content posting, etc. That way, multiple people can gain access to the page so that if any one admin cannot access, there is always another person. This is good social page maintenance. If you need help or have other questions send a note anytime.
Is there away to make a page that tells about our non profit club but we do not want visitors to be able to leave comments. Just want visitors to read the page information then move on. Thank you
Yes - If you're using WordPress, you can do this in 2 places. If you want to turn off ALL comments on your site, that is in the SETTINGS menu in the main wordpress dashboard. Then go to DISCUSSION in the settings submenu. when there, you uncheck the box titled: Allow people to submit comments on new posts. The second way to do this is leave that checkbox on, and then when editing any post, at the bottom right in the sidebar you'll see a section called DISCUSSION. Uncheck the box titled ALLOW COMMENTS. I typically uncheck ALLOW PINGBACKS and TRACKBACKS as well. Hope that helps.
Ran out of room...In regard to the invite limit - check this link for more info on inviting friends to view your page from within facebook: facebook.com/help/search/?q=invite You can import your entire contact list and it will send a note to anyone who has a facebook account registered to that address. Also, you can always copy your facebook page url and send that to as many people as your own email program can handle. If you use Gmail, that limit is usually 250 people per email.

Joseph J sorry buddy, this is a real old video - almost 2.5 years old now. Facebook has changed many times since then. But here's what you can do: Sign into facebook personal account Click on the top menu link for "home" (the one next to your name and picture icon) Then in the menu tree on the eft under your name you'll see a whole bunch of links like, new feed, messages, events,etc. under that you should one called Create a Page. It will have an orange and white plus icon. Click that. You'll have a choice of boxes for different types of pages, like local or business place, company, arttist, etc. Choose the one in bottom right called Cause or Community. Enter the name of your organization then click GET STARTED Follow the prompts from there! Good luck
