Thank you for this video and the others, I've been following them getting my mitre saw set up. One important point, if you're mounting the R210 SMS+ to the Evolution stand I've found it best to NOT remove the rubber feet. They should have holes in them so the bolts can pass through. When I removed them the saw was lowered too much and wouldn't lock into 45 degrees because the orange handle would hit against the light grey rails. Putting the rubber feet back in solved the problem.

It says in the evolution mitre saw stand manual to remove the rubber feet if fitting to the stand. This is why I removed mine. I don't know why you need to remove them though! I've saw a number of ways to fit it though. As long as it's fitted safely and works. Thank you for the comment.

@@bloominhometogarden Yeah, I also noticed how the instructions for the stand say that, whereas the instructions which came with the saw which also has a section about attaching it to a stand, doesn't mention removing the feet at all. Anyway, I just wanted to mention it in case anyone else ended up here with a similar problem. Thanks!

Great video - the instructions that come with it show the wing nuts on top but it is better your way

I had a problem doing it, as the manual says. I can't remember what the problem was now. So I set it up, as in the video and it works for me.

But how on earth are you supposed to tighten the wing nuts if its recessed within the stand frame. Better on the top

Wing nuts on top with longer bolts, miles easier than this method.
Also easier to adjust so its square on the rails and the stand.
I also left the pads in no problem leaving them in.

I removed the rubber feet, because evolution instructions, say to remove if fitting to the stand. I don't know why! I put my bolts that way because when I bought mine, I remember reading somewhere, someone saying they found it better this way because of something, but I really can't remember what it was, it was a good while ago now. 😊😊

The wing nuts are supposed to be on the top so you can adjust easily.

Yes but then how do you tighten the hex bolt on the shaft of the bolt as it slots into the hex hole below but then can’t be turned tight? Would have been helpful if Evolution had drawn explicit plans of where nuts and bolts go. Also the hex slot is too big for the bolt.

It didn't work for me, doing it that way. I can't remember exactly what the problem was now, as it's been a long time, since I set mine up. But the way I have done it, works fine for me. I've never had to adjust mine.

If you remove the rubber spacers, you cannot turn to 45 degree...

Mine turns fine both ways. You only need to remove the rubber spaces if fitting to the stand. Leave them on, if that works for you.
