Bravo, Sir! Nice little goblet with a very interesting pattern. Thanks for showing us how it's done. 🎉
Cute as can be, Andy! Nice glue up for a great blank to start then a great finish! 😊
Lovely glue-up. Made for a very nice TINY goblet. Well done!
Probably one of the most unique videos I have ever watched. Your piece is just beautiful Andy. Thank you for sharing. See you next week
Andy, my friend, your goblet is amazing👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌😩👌
Absolutely the best project for you, Andy, with your amazing attention to detail! The patterns that emerged from the different woods you layered are just beautiful! Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece and for showing what others in the group created as well.
Take care 😊
Stunning. You look like you absolutely enjoyed the challenge. Well done.

Brilliant!!!!!👏👏👍👏
“You never know……..”
Wow. That was an amazingly detailed piece. When you mentioned the challenge, my mind went to a single piece of wood turned very small -- you took it to an extreme bit of segmented turning. Very cool that the Cape Cod Woodturners reached out to you -- their pieces are also very cool. What an interesting challenge! Using that scraper as a gouge was a great way to get the details you needed with lower risk. If you haven't seen him, Tomislav Tomasic just posted a couple of videos in the past couple of weeks showing the same kind of scraper/gouge. He made a couple of them from tool steel. I can definitely see the utility of using a scraper this way.
Thanks Andy. I’ll share this with the group. Regards,
Don
Very cool Andy! I love a good glue up!
Love how the glue up creates more interest than plain wood. Hope it stays together. I learned the hard way that C.A. glue can fail in structural uses. Now I only use wood glue, usually Tite-bond. Weather here still behaving like winter, not spring. cold, damp, and a bit of wind thrown in for good measure.
That is absolutely stunning.
Very nice and very intricate, Andy! Much more elaborate than the one I made a few years ago. It looks fabulous!

Very nice Andy! How long after the glue up did you start turning? How quickly does the CA glue dry strong enough to turn? 😊
Hi Todd...
I think that I had a coffee and then turned it...
I used accelerator as well so it sets straight away...
The downside of accelerator is that it can turn the glue milky colour...
CA glue does have it's limitations though.. this was OK as it was small....
Anything larger then I would like to use wood glue...much stronger bond...
Take care my friend and all the best from Andy
With an activator, the CA glue only takes a few seconds. Very quick, very strong.
