@@theadventuresofketkon8388 I have a fairing on my Tour Easy recumbent. That seems to help especially with keeping my legs and feet warm on really cold rides. I'm good down to about 30 degrees. My main problem is ice on the trail.
@@theadventuresofketkon8388 if you do,, let me know... we have a good size group that rides around here in Southern California - I would put out the word if you plan something.
Laid Back Cycles would love to have you at our next community ride located in sunny Sacramento County, CA. Rides are a staple for the community that recumbent trikes create. We are so excited to be organizing our first ride of 2022! Join us for the Laid Back Cycles Community Ride on March 6th! Location: The Nimbus Fish Hatchery Parking Lot 2001 Nimbus Rd. Gold River, CA 95670 Date: March 6th Time: We will depart promptly at 9 am. Arrive early. What: Bring your trike and join us for a ride! We will ride to William B Pond Park which is about an 8 mile ride one way. Once we reach the park, we will have snacks, mingle, then ride back.
@@theadventuresofketkon8388 we finally found a black aluminum ring, that looked like it may have come off of someones camera (or something). Was sooooo strange. Boy did it worry us until we found it. We must have run over it just perfectly because it flipped up from the wheel and kind of ping ponged around the spokes and hit the frame. So it sounded like something big happened LOL
We do have an assist motor. This tandem is a beast and very heavy. He bumps it occasionally to give us some speed. Right now since we're on a main road and we're heading to the bike trailhe's using the motor to get us the heck down there quickly.
Nice ride guys nice tandem to!❤
Where I bike in Wisconsin 56 degrees is shorts and t-shirt weather.
The wind chill riding is what kills me.

You know, if drivers can't see you on a contraption like that, then no number of tiny flashing lights is going to make the difference.
The video is more interesting hand held... rather than hard mountned to the trike. Enjoying your ride.
We love showing other trikers our wonderful bikeway here in Sacramento. Wish we could do a recumbent rally here in the future

We are tandemers, though not trike tandemers. Considering this tandem. Would you fit in the sidewalk the whole time (had you wanted to)?
Yes it absolutely fits on the sidewalk.
Love the videos! What fell off at the end? Please say it wasn't a coupler.
we actually ran over an aluminum ring. Thought it was something falling off. Took us forever to figure out our trike was NOT falling apart
