I believe that 'Available Jobs' shows ALL the jobs in the city, filled or not. If you look at 'Employment Percentage' it will tell you how many of those jobs are filled :)
+Monika von Koller actually there are tram stations and trams already, all you need are paved train tracks to make it fit into the city more nicely which are all available in the workshop :)
Apparently in the southern part of the land mass there'll be more high density, whenever he gets there. It was mentioned either in the last episode or the one previous to that.
You can create a really awesome train/bus terminal using the new single lane 1 way road. Essentially you have the main road, then you have the single lane road running parallel, then put the train station on the small road and put a bus stop on it. It seems to work really well and provides a place for buses to U-Turn easily at the end of the line.
Flab , back in season 1 you had a tradition to do some first-person camera routes around every few episodes , you can bring that back , many people would enjoy it
The reason you have so many available jobs is because every time you make a new development, you create tons of commercial to go with it and that where the new citizens are working. You need to focus on creating residential only for now, then once those jobs are filled go back to normal.
Flabs, try using that new tiny single lane one way road to make a tiny little round-a-bout for a cul-de-sac. Where I live a lot of the cul-de-sacs have planters in the middle of them so maybe it'll look like that in the game.
For the roads where you changed the 4 lane into 6 lane, if you use the 4 lane without the median, or 4 lane with the turn lane, that will fix the long driving U-turn issue.
Flabsiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii OMG I missed youy every dayyyy, please take care of your health!!!!!!!!!!!! I only wish you the best! I'm happy to see you are feeling better!!!!!! xoxo
you should make a special "shuttle" bus route from that pedestrian path to the train station you were looking at, this could help the red line keep up with demand
Look at the mod "Employ Overeducated Workers". In this mod, highly educated people search higher level jobs first. If a job is not found, they search lower level jobs.
I think that idea for water and power would turn into the same thing as deleting abandoned buildings. Instead they could base it one the same thing as traffic. Then have multiple grades of power line and water pipe to cope with the extra power needs of a city. This would also make it cost more to have dirty power stations moved miles outside the city since you would need the highest grade power lines which could be expensive. Would help to make the game balance more interesting I think. Then if there isn't enough power then power cuts. they could also make it so that if you try and put too much water through a pipe then it would burst which would be a good visual indication of where a problem is as well as giving bigger consequences.
You should use the Disaster Enabler mod (enables random disasters) since the new DLC is out, I know this comment is late but it would be good to see another series with this included
I have an idea. With those new one tiled roads you could make them into like back alley ways behind buildings in a grid lock neighbourhood. Then if you ever get Traffic ++ back or whatever it's called then you could make it to where only service vehicles like dump trucks could go through and they could have easy access.
I keep having the same abandonment problem in my current city, where everyone is leaving by the hundreds. I'm not really sure what's causing the huge population plummets (and it may just be specific to that particular city), but I built suburbs closer to the buildings looking for more workers and created roads specifically for trucks to have a direct route to and from popular destinations (like commercial centers, harbors, and train stations). Also adding more unique buildings to attract tourists seemed to help as well. The city still goes through regular big dips, but they aren't as drastic anymore. Again, not sure if I actually did anything useful or if it was going to do that anyway. :)
If you are using the same cap program as you do in your unfinished tutorial videos, you should be able to use game capture. That's what I am using. Great to have you back! You aren't going to Melbourne to watch the Australian Open this weekend, are you? If so, I am jealous.
lol i am watching this at half past 12 at night and james starts yelling power we need power😂😂 i turned on my nightlight and ran to check if my parents are still asleep 😂😂😂😂😂
I hope it's not just me, but whilst I really do like the series so far, continually making suburbs is getting a little bit bland in my opinion. Maybe make a small built up area? Like no skyscrapers, but even in suburban towns the centre usually has some higher buildings
Hey +Flabaliki , Awesome video's. What kind of computer are you using? Your graphics look really good. Oh, and are you using the mod where you get 25 patches of land immediately? Keep on posting! Bests, I'll have you know
Idk how others feel, but I think it would be really cool if you did a sort of nature preserve thing like a district, or a mountainous area with a bunch of nature trail like things. Even if nobody used it, it'd look really nice with 1st person views.. Maybe. Idk. Something fun and different.
maybe you should hurry the high density portion up, and have it with no education at all (elementary schools etc) maybe more people would be inclined to work on farms and such
I know Cities Skylines has been wierd lately my city pretty much in 1 second all had health crisis and I had tons of hospitals but the Ambulences did not come...
you have so many jobs as you have such a large leisure district, which all take jobs and didnt remove your blue requirement as the blue bar is for people to buy food etc
Add a train station on the main road in the new district, you have the train line running right by it. Also connect the bridge across to the district on the other side from your new district. Sorry I had to use too many "district" because you didn't name any of them nor do I know their original name.
I have a hint, you should put all districts to work before school. The jobs need uneducated workers. Or you should upgrade the industry and commercial buildings because than they want educated workers
I believe that 'Available Jobs' shows ALL the jobs in the city, filled or not. If you look at 'Employment Percentage' it will tell you how many of those jobs are filled :)
a city full of trams (when they come out) named Tramsylvania
+Monika von Koller actually there are tram stations and trams already, all you need are paved train tracks to make it fit into the city more nicely which are all available in the workshop :)
Oh god please no.... Noooooo
legend flabaliki. just as i get on a 55min train i see you upload this
Perfect timing.......TOO perfect
Can you do more high density residential
Apparently in the southern part of the land mass there'll be more high density, whenever he gets there. It was mentioned either in the last episode or the one previous to that.
I don't think I have ever missed someone this much.
+Kelsey Kowalczyk Yep, me too ;)
Me too
+Kelsey Kowalczyk Same. I missed the intro
+Kelsey Kowalczyk me too
Same!

Town name: Flabsterdam.
I second this, I kept suggesting it in like episode 4 :P
I've been binging this series for the last 2 days.
Please make an education district or something :( its killing me, and will probably sort out the unemployment issues. Flaba Polytechnic.
Flab , back in season 1 you had a tradition to do some first-person camera routes around every few episodes , you can bring that back , many people would enjoy it
It's always so funny when you're saying a german word ;D I love it.
+Miss Funilla but actually you did it quit well!
You're alive! :) Well come back James! 🎉 We've missed you!
call the suburbian suburb 'flaburbia'
+Diana K. BRATWURST you said it all right :D
Who replies to themselves? AND ABOUT SPELLING?! Wait, you...
yes me. maybe clarifies if I say that I am Germa? :S
I've literally been looking for this video every day haha, love this series!
You never know how much you love something until it was gone. Glad you're back Flabs :D
I was so happy when I saw this! Glad you're feeling better!
i was checking the channel almost everyday what a blessing this vid is for all of us
The reason you have so many available jobs is because every time you make a new development, you create tons of commercial to go with it and that where the new citizens are working. You need to focus on creating residential only for now, then once those jobs are filled go back to normal.
I have missed your vids so much
Your my one of my favourite TH-camrs
Hope you get better soon
I think I have deprivation from your videos! But I hope you'll get better soon and have fun at Melbourne! ^^
+Kriint Hey! It's you! I watch few of your videos!
Yeah
Flabs, try using that new tiny single lane one way road to make a tiny little round-a-bout for a cul-de-sac. Where I live a lot of the cul-de-sacs have planters in the middle of them so maybe it'll look like that in the game.

I was craving an episode, woke for breakfast and you delivered. Thank you
I'm feeling so ill and I see this on my subscriptions , you have made my day 😊
Flabsiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii OMG I missed youy every dayyyy, please take care of your health!!!!!!!!!!!! I only wish you the best! I'm happy to see you are feeling better!!!!!! xoxo

Name a district flabsburg like windenburg from the sims four
Watching this stoned, your voice is the best sound ever dude.
You should use the Disaster Enabler mod (enables random disasters) since the new DLC is out, I know this comment is late but it would be good to see another series with this included
Yep, Snowfall has trams as well as weather effects that look cool.
I LOVE THIS SERIES, just got back from first day of school 2016, ;(
I have an idea. With those new one tiled roads you could make them into like back alley ways behind buildings in a grid lock neighbourhood. Then if you ever get Traffic ++ back or whatever it's called then you could make it to where only service vehicles like dump trucks could go through and they could have easy access.
finallyyyyyyyy! get well soon, James!
name a District at the River side for "Flashaliki Bay
they should add snow and salt trucks
In my opinion, you can build old centrum (European theme) and you can build tram lines on there.
FINALLY, hope you get better
I keep having the same abandonment problem in my current city, where everyone is leaving by the hundreds. Hey James there is a new mod called the rush hour mod it looks amazing
Finally the wait is over
If you are using the same cap program as you do in your unfinished tutorial videos, you should be able to use game capture. That's what I am using.
Great to have you back! You aren't going to Melbourne to watch the Australian Open this weekend, are you? If so, I am jealous.
Flabaliki saying Smoking is ok 2016
lol i am watching this at half past 12 at night and james starts yelling power we need power😂😂 i turned on my nightlight and ran to check if my parents are still asleep 😂😂😂😂😂
On Hickory park you can have just two buses just go to the train station and back it will help the people out.
The simulation of pipes and power lines would add so much!!!!
Yayy you're back!
DLC ideas for cities skylines
Adding of Rush Hours
Natural disasters
Car accidents
Like Flabaliki suggested, pipes bursting
you need to educate your workers James
I know it’s been 6 years, but he does.
Is there a university in the city yet? Could that be the issue with the lack of workers?
I hope it's not just me, but whilst I really do like the series so far, continually making suburbs is getting a little bit bland in my opinion. Maybe make a small built up area? Like no skyscrapers, but even in suburban towns the centre usually has some higher buildings
You should make 2 tourism districts called Knob City and Grid Loch as a memorial to your other cities
BRATWURST!!!
There's a policy called "School's Out" and it makes citizens work rather than go to school when available +flabaliki
He knows, dude!
Download UK Terraced Housing theme and use the tiny roads within the district. May look cool if on bigger scale.
I think instead of commercial it would be a good idea to do some small offices around the place to take up the highly educated people
you should use the island that has the hill in it and the train track into a giant park.
Can you do canals that run through the city?
Yes! Been waiting for this!
Is there a Melbourne meet up? I live near the city
When your email made a noise I actually paused the video to have a look around my house before I played it and you said it was your emal
+Bethan Cook me too...
this just saved my day
No roads are ever straight in real life. Except if you live in the us. Then it's mostly just straight grids
Hey +Flabaliki ,
Awesome video's.
What kind of computer are you using? Your graphics look really good. Oh, and are you using the mod where you get 25 patches of land immediately?
Keep on posting!
Bests,
I'll have you know
James I have tweeted you some photos for Sims 4 houses, dont know if you got them. Hope you did.
What do you use to record your game and what computer do you have?
Maybe make like different teir power lines so thay can carry different voltages and have a stress meter and if a line gets over stressed it breaks
If you have one way roads maybe use those in the area you didn't like them turning at
Finally! My thursday night is saved :D
Flabs, I saw this happen in my cities.. I'd say place some unique buildings, it should influence more people to move it and fill those jobs.
Flabs!! he's back :D
You should do your next season on a winter map from the new expansion when it comes out :)
make a district in a mountain
avaible jobs = jobs total, the wording is weird, but thats what it is.
Open jobs without anyone working it + taken jobs worked by workers
Idk how others feel, but I think it would be really cool if you did a sort of nature preserve thing like a district, or a mountainous area with a bunch of nature trail like things. Even if nobody used it, it'd look really nice with 1st person views.. Maybe. Idk. Something fun and different.
Get well soon James!
Yess, Skylines is back🙌🙌
are you going to Melbourne to meet deligracy
nugget of space... that was random and awesome
B3atz By C Hahaha I read your comment the exact time he said.
I am watching this series in a week, is that okay?
Flab you need to name something Halcyon Springs.
maybe you should hurry the high density portion up, and have it with no education at all (elementary schools etc) maybe more people would be inclined to work on farms and such
OUTCAST SHALL LIVE ON!
In your new "Bratwurst" district, it seems like a good place to put a different commercial district policy. What do you think?
Make sure that "Dean Hills" is not on one of the road.
I know Cities Skylines has been wierd lately my city pretty much in 1 second all had health crisis and I had tons of hospitals but the Ambulences did not come...
Name a place SeaHampton, West Field, Flabs Peak, Caesar Harbour or Empire Bay
finally more cities skylines
Make sure to sound barrier the highways
By adding more jobs your making the unemployment worse. The needs bar increases when commercial and the yellow one gets abandoned.
you have so many jobs as you have such a large leisure district, which all take jobs and didnt remove your blue requirement as the blue bar is for people to buy food etc
Click on the "i" to the left of the city name to see how many jobs you have, how many workers there are, tourists etc.
use your One Way Lane roads as a alleys
YES, new content!
Flabs, education is always good! You have a tremendous amount of jobs and only giant trailer parks to live in...
Add a train station on the main road in the new district, you have the train line running right by it. Also connect the bridge across to the district on the other side from your new district.
Sorry I had to use too many "district" because you didn't name any of them nor do I know their original name.
busted water mains, broken down power lines... what about servos becoming like the hospitals and police stations?
I have a hint, you should put all districts to work before school. The jobs need uneducated workers. Or you should upgrade the industry and commercial buildings because than they want educated workers
Flabinki, do a central part with skyscrapers
