A tip: watch movies on instaflixxer. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Dominic Bronson Definitely, I have been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
Beautiful style! I am amazed at how you go from a cool reference photo to a warm painting. What a difference!❤
I’m a beginner and your painting are awesome and your teaching style is excellent. Thanks for your lessons.
Thank you so much 😊
I'm excited to share this lesson with you! :)
Beautiful I have just got into doing Pastel and I'm watching quite a few videos on here trying to absorb information and trying techniques. So thank you for the work you show.
Hi Bethany, I just finished watching this video. I hadn't seen any of your videos before. I was so impressed. I just got pastels and have no clue what I'm doing. Everyone I've watched so far other than Lindsay the frugal crafter has overwhelmed me. I love the painterly ladndscapes, but you are by far the best I've watched in this category. I learned so much watching this painting, and will look for more. Thank you so much❤❤
That is so kind of you to say. Thank you!
This is brilliant, thank you.
Bethany, you are such a wonderful instructor. I've learned so much today and also painted my first painting with a stream after following another video or yours. I'm actually pretty happy with mine which makes me super happy. Still have much to learn so looking forward to learning more from you. Thank you.
Such a beautiful, pastoral work of art....
Thank you Celeste!
Bethany, I've enjoyed numerous videos and you've done beautiful work with fine presentations on every one. Your art is beautiful and you are genuine and generous. I should have reserved my comment. Thank you for your gracious reply encouraging webinars.
Please keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!

The under painting is so beautiful I’d hang that on my wall! Gorgeous painting ❤
I do love the underpainting process!
Love how you explain everything and have lots of tips for us
:D

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. This was eye-opening in terms of the sky & the reflections!
You are so welcome!
Amazing 👏.... I love your work. Proud to be a patron of yours. Your soft but lots of depth approach, with the old world touch that these could have been painted many years ago.
You are a truly gifted artist; timeless!!! What a great teacher and down to earth. what a bonus! Thank you.
Thank you so so much!! :D

I LIKE YOUR WORLREALY AMAZING TECHNIC
Thank you so much 😀
Welcome 😄
Magnifique !!! J'adore😍 dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de traduction. Avec quoi vous mouiller, quel alcool ?
I'd like to know why did you use the yellow and orange colour for underpainting. Thanks
hey'a what are you using to blend
🎉
Where can I find the reference photo?
This is very interesting. Had you dipped your fan brush into the rubbing alcohol before blending in the nupastel?
Yes, exactly!
Hello Bethany, I did this on Fabriano mixed paper with clear gesso. It was very difficult
Good for you for trying! :)
You are as pretty as your painting!
Aw shucks, thank you!
Can you tell us more about the fan brush you use? What brand and type please.
It is a synthetic fan brush!
Hi Bethany! because she uses alcohol to dilute the cake and not water….? thanks, success!
Yes, this is isopropyl alcohol (91%)
Who produces the mounted paper?
This is Uart sanded paper. They sell it mounted but this piece was mounted by my framer. :)
is she using water or rubbing alcohol after the initial wash?
alcohol
Bethany are you still making videos? I want to join your patron and possibly the studio Circle if you are still offering it? 🤞
I am! I am producing videos on my Patreon channel! :)
How do u fix your artwork? Which fixative?
Hello! I don't use fixative. :)
Bethany Fields okay.. how does dry pastel stays? After framing?
The pastel paper is sanded 500 grit UART.The paper grabs the pastel so it doesn't need to be fixed
@@supriyasoni1377 I put all my paintings behind glass. :)
@@SueKerriganHarrisArtist Thanks for helping answer questions Sue! :D
What kind of pastel are you using? I'm guessing not oil pastels...
These are all soft pastels :)
First view. Beautiful work!
The 'you know's could be a deal breaker. Suggest slowing down, maybe reading a script.
I do my best! :) Thank you for watching.
