Brian Skrudland gave me his stick after a playoff game when he was with the panthers. I was wearing his jersey with the “ C “ on it and he handed it to me after a game. It made that year for me as a kid. Solid dude and I’m glad to see he’s doing well. Brian if you ever read this, thank you brother you made a kid happy.
I met Brian at a WHL game when he was scouting an Everett player for Florida. that man is the definition of a hockey player. he was the nicest, more knowledgeable, most personable hockey players I've ever met. the man is so humble. i will ALWAYS remember him
Fun chat guys! Anyone who has a pal like skrudland truly is lucky. It's great to have a person who can make you laugh, have your back when helps needed and keep you accountable in serious situations . Thanks Chris, Tim and Brian! 😊
I was a huge baltimore skipjacks fan the year we lost to Sherbrooke. Always rooted for BS since then. Funny in that era how many local sportscasters utterly butchered a lot of the canadian names (Patrick Roy was not WRAH for example. As baltimore's legendary "cement head" Bennett Wolf's biggest fan, i recall that Marty Mcsorley actually paired with Wolf and fought Stephen Fletcher around 8 times in that series along with taking on Wolf twice. Something like 11 fights in the series against a notable all time tough guy D pair. That's some heavy lifting. Screwy was a long time favorite from that MVP run. Glad to see him captain the upstart panthers. His work ethic defined that team
I met and chatted with both Nilan and Skrudland at a Canadiens Alumni event this past weekend. Both great guys that were genuinely interested to connect with the fans. Richard Sevigny, Normand Dupont, Alain Cote, Gilbert Dionne, Murray Baron, Mathieu Dandenault, Oleg Petrov, Dale Wiese..... great day for me.
great interview chris 👍so funny, love brian skruland ! .great guy, great player, a real warrior.brendan gallagher type of player for people that are too young to know him.he gives 200% all the time, block shots with his face no problem lol,the complete opposite of jonathan drouin lololololol .il avait du coeur en tabarnac lui lol.un vrai de vrai...
i did not know that Brian Skrudland was such a funny man. we only saw the hocket games. another nice interview discovering the man in the player :) thanks guys for sharing this interview
I really love your show. I am originally from the west island and have been a habs fan for about 54 years. I now live in Arizona and still follow the habs and go to the game when there in town. I really enjoy your show and never miss it but I have to tell you this one was hilarious. Brian is a good story teller , you need to have him back soon . Knuckles and Tim you guy's are great Thanks
Brian Skrudland is a legend and hockey legend! He is an all time favourite to all that know him! Last star that brought home the cup for the Montreal Canadiens....can't top that!
What a beautiful electrifying goal it was. Scored 9 seconds into overtime by Brian Skrudland Montreal Canadiens Against the Calgary Flames in 1986 and going on To win the Stanley Cup in Calgary at the saddledome. On May 18, 1986 winning goal against goalie Mike Vernon! It kinda reminds me of Bobby Nystrom's Dramatic overtime goal that won the Stanley Cup for the New York Islanders at the 7:11 mark of overtime to win The 1980 Stanley Cup the first of four straight 💥 championships. For the New York Islanders.
Very fond memories of throwing back a few at Toe Blake's Tavern with some buddies. Then a few more....until closing. Then came "Brasseries" so women could enjoy the sport and ambiance. And here we are......
Loved this interview ..was on the other side Vs Skruds s when in 80s Sherbrooke Vs Balty ..cd play in any era ..he mentioned today player’s stories …how we all played the same video games ..omg ..
My good friend K.Oliwa played on that Flames team. And he like Screwy said the same thing they should have won that game feel terrible for those Flames players. Got robbed. D. Sutter is a beaut you gotta hear his stories makes me laugh my ass off. Again Great Show boys.
It might seem to the listener that Skrudland was just "on" this particular day, but I've known him since his days with the Habs and he is absolutely like this ALL OF THE TIME. It's criminal how much fun I've had with #39, and he is just about the most fantastic human you could want to meet. No wonder Knuckles likes him so much. So yeah, let's get a Part 2! No way are these guys out of stories yet.
Awesome. Just like the Bourque interview, I got a kick on the stories and how Knucks giggles like a school kid ...probably holding back on more details to the story that could get guys in hot water after the fact. Tim is a great partner helping with questions that we probably would want to ask. Great type of substance...
Oh man this was another great episode! Sooo much fun, amazing stories! Man alive, this channel keeps getting better all the time! Thank you again! I love it!
One day I was wearing my Habs jersey around my driveway. This woman and her husband always walk the dog on our street, and known them for years. We got talking, it turns out she is Brian's cousin from her mom's side.
I have a little different opinion of Mike Milbury if the story that knuckles is telling is true and I guess you have to assume it is, I can’t believe you make that story up
Skrudland.. what great storyteller! I could listen to these guys all day.. hey wait, I AM!! Good stuff fellas.
The Terry Ryan episode is great too
Brian Skrudland gave me his stick after a playoff game when he was with the panthers. I was wearing his jersey with the “ C “ on it and he handed it to me after a game. Best Knuckles Interview ever.
Great episode. Screwy is the best
This is my cousin! Hence why my username is skruds short for Skrudland which is also my last name. Always looked up to him when I was playing hockey
One of the best episodes of all time!
Lots of shinny games against Brian in the old out door rink behind my house in Saskatoon growing up. There was always blood on the ice, lol.

Gainey took a car for a joyride?l lol
I just hate what he did to the Islanders. That’s all Mike Milbury.
I love my pet more than you love Adele.
