considering just how long m2k has been playing this game i don't blame him for fucking around in tourneys every once in a while, plus it's fun to actually see anyone at all playing pichu. that being said i could totally understand playing against him and feeling very disrespected
+Hans Langer If he did he would outright kill people with his sheer power. Smash judges ruled it too powerful and wouldn't let him compete unless he chose to only use his fists
cprone Ken lol. M2K is the undisputed king at smash games. He's not just good at melee like Mango, he's good at every smash game. Maybe one could argue Isai because of his potential was better than anyone's but still, no one knows.
pichu is not disrespectful. idk where people are getting that from. also if anyone liked the ganondorf play and is interested in keeping up with where i'm going and what i'm doing with smash, feel free to follow me on twitter @eikelmannrus or on facebook at facebook.com/gzimmer9
Absolutely. You can follow me on twitter at twitter.com/eikelmannrus or on facebook at facebook.com/eikelmannrus to keep up with my travels and competitive status :)
Basically for a few years one of the 5 gods won most major competitions and were called the 5 gods because at the time they were on a different level than most of the competition. I think mew2king and hungry box are the main 2 who are still relevant.
A chaingrab is when a grab throws a character in to the air so that they can be grabbed again without touching the ground. (Look up "m2k mind games like a shark" for examples.) what m2k does is tech chase. He predicted whether he would tech roll or tech in place and used the knowledge to grab him again.
Bruce Wayne i know what tech chasing is but DK doesn't appear to hit the ground unless he DIs very far to the side, allowing sheik to (apparently) regrab him, which is why I was confused.
He's getting hit by the chain. If he DI's away from it, he's going to fall to his death or Up B back into it either way. But by DI'ing towards the chain and up B'ing he can climb up the chain to try and get back on stage
M2K's been playing long enough that if he wants to bring a pichu to a tournament against a guy he knows he could beat otherwise, he can just go for it.
+MartaPD2 - HIATUS No, nowadays lower tier characters are p unviable regardless of how you use them. It's been shown time and time again. Even when you have complete masters of lower tiers, like Amsa, their potential is extremely limited. One of the only downsides to Melee is how unbalanced it is. There is too big a gap between how good the characters are for "you just have to know how to use them" to have any meaning.
SomeDumbDuck you have to be a very good player, I saw a tournament where someone used mewtwo, a character that is supposed to be bad, and he did pretty well. Even if a character is strong, if u are bad, u will never win. That is my point, but you are right as well.
Question about Shiek, and his weird chain thing he does with Ganon on the ledge: Isn't this an extremly unbalanced and unfair move? Or does Eikelmann just not know how to react to that? It seems like a move that shouldn't even be in the game because it looks completly broken. (Don't play the game myself, so I'm genuinly asking... because I have no clue ;-))
Idk for sure but i think most characters can grab ledge threw it just heavier characters have trouble (not positive on that) and if u think that's cheap look up ice climbers wobbles
Caleb West No, I don't mean the ledge-grab. I mean the trick with the chain, where, pretty much as soon as the oponent is under the ledge and tries to come back, Shiek can use the chain to pretty much increase the damage as much as he wants, because the oponent can't escape the reech of the chain. Don't know the one with the Ice-climbers though. Have to look it up. Thanks for the response.
In reply to the other guys comment about wobbling, as much as it as looked down in the community and seen negatively upon it's not easy to do and still takes a lot of skill to set up and execute. Even with wobbling ice climbers are still a mid-tier character.
Pfft. Sheik's chain is generally regarded as next to useless. Its usage is very situational, and there is almost always a better option available (like here, all M2K had to do was grab the ledge to end the stock). It's also risky to use due to the high ending lag, so if the opponent makes it back onstage, they can dish out a fat punish on Sheik.
Guys, what is the big deal? So M2K played Pichu? Big deal. He wanted to have some fun and decided to play as Pichu. When has it become illegal for M2K to have fun playing Melee?
Guys I'm new to melee and I just have to ask: Why isn't the chain used more comonly? When m2k used it, it looked like a good move when used correctly. I'm sure there is a reason, and I would love to hear it, please answer
This is historically one of my favorite sets. Even when Eikelmann wins a game he doesn’t win a game because they just don’t bother to change his score from 0 LMAO
325%? How often has that occurred in a competitive match? Oh and kudos on that rare Zelda win :^) Edit 2: it’s cool how they flat out choreograph attacks, intentional or not.
You realize edgehogging isn't mew2kings tactic right? Like this is something that literally every competitive player regularly does? Do you think he only wins cause of this mechanic that he does and nobody else does? He's doing fine in smash 4 and is a top player in it.
I don't think most of you understand what disrespect is. This wasn't an example of disrespect. An example of disrespect would be like the time mang0 jabbed HBox out of a missed rest with a big lead.
Out of all the people to pick for commentating, they pick the guy who can't speak properly. I'm not one to bash on a guy for having a speech impediment, but for real? Like, the entire job of a caster is to have a palatable audio experience.
To all the people saying that M2K was being a dick, just dicking around n stuff. Eikelmann didn't stand a chance with his characters against M2Ks, speed usually wins from strength.
Yeah if you use easy bakes like fox or shiek, ive heard of so many new comers who just pick up fox or shiek and get in the top ten at tournaments but playing another character like roy or gannon that takes skill just look at bizz and sethlon ive seen them both beat m2k and even reck him, if shiek or fox didnt exist he probably wouldnt even play unless i dont know he uses the character he's supposedly the king of
>sees m2k + pichu on thumbnail

Yes😂
LOOOOL XD
That comment made me choke ahaha
Not gonna lie, I was cheering for pichu.
I came here because I LOVE m2ks pichu

M2k is a no life dick. He's a guy that's like "I don't care if no-one likes my cheap ways, because I already had no friends, so it's cool"
***** don't forget to delete that ;)
***** no problem
Pichu is godlike in Melee SD Remix. His Dair is a meteor smash.
Matches like this makes me wonder why zelda couldn't kill ganondorf herself within ten years...
Are these both video games?
+Elias Cedeno (Lazarus Espinosa) Ganon doesn't try in smash. He doesn't use his sword or his magic.
+Hans Langer If he did he would outright kill people with his sheer power. Smash judges ruled it too powerful and wouldn't let him compete unless he chose to only use his fists
ganon is kinda immortal after he gets the first tri force...so yeah
Isn't Ganon the only Nintendo villain to actually take over the world at some point
Pichu in title is smash clickbait
6:40
I'm a sucker for any pichu
That face M2K made, that smug shit eating grin LOL
M2K is pretty funny
+RoverBot1 Kek
6:26 Mew2King was already planning to disrespect him with a ditto, but look at his face when somebody suggests Pichu... priceless.
Eikelmann will be able to say forever that in a bracket match, he 2 - stocked the greatest Smash player of all time.
While he was using Pichu as a joke
It's something I guess
Neither mang0 nor ken are in this match, I'm confused
cprone You made me giggle m8
I needed that thanks
cprone Ken lol. M2K is the undisputed king at smash games. He's not just good at melee like Mango, he's good at every smash game. Maybe one could argue Isai because of his potential was better than anyone's but still, no one knows.
Ken will always be the king. I mean he's ken
5:29 look at M2K's face when he gets grabbed xD
Puro juego roto... ¡Vamos a jugarlo de nuevo!

Absolutely. You can follow me on twitter at twitter.com/eikelmannrus or on facebook at facebook.com/eikelmannrus to keep up with my travels and competitive status :)
dude you were right about that character counterpick that is bullshit
actually I guess you had to say stage first? so idk
The Thumbnail, It's like they Didn't bother using a 3D model of Pichu and just took one from Google Images.
This was EAAASSY MOONNEEY for M2K, is that reference still relevant?
+Nard Dogg amen
It'll never die to me
The disrespect was so strong
I got salty just from watching him
eikelmann never played smash after that day
i played him at a tourney in colo
Now he banned from playing

Who do you think it is, like bizkit or bb
PixxelTrixx Then everybody ignores the point of the comment.
Did anybody notice that when the guy playing ganondorf won his score counter didnt go up to 1
Imagine how OP Pichu would be if he came back in Smash now that there's a Rage Factor in place.
You called it. Lol
Pichu was really good at Ultimates launch. Average now though.
Pichu will be fox level in no time
What a prediction.
7:13 “back aiew, fiew, even a good up aiew”
I don't understand why people hate on M2K. If he's having fun then let him have fun. Cause you know, video games MUST be taken seriously or else!!
Probably because Eikelman had to pay money to be there only to be mocked by a better player that wasn't taking it seriously.
It's competitive level.
Because it’s poor sportsmanship
Poor Darkfall, having to take so much disrespect.
+|FCT| Andrusto100 (Stormghetti) wait what
That one dude either is faking a speech impediment, or he really hates the letter R.
The commentator said that Sheik couldn't use d-throw to chain grab but at 13:15 m2k appears to do just that. Am I missing something?
A chaingrab is when a grab throws a character in to the air so that they can be grabbed again without touching the ground. Mad respect to eikelman for telling m2k basically to F off with that disrespect shit and to take him seriously.
lol
? Different video
He stopped respecting mid-match. I have never seen that before.
He's used Pichu from the very start in the past.
I meant the first round where he was Sheik.
This is one of the most disrespectful sets in smash history
That sheik chain was amazing
Why did they hire Elmer Fudd to cast this?
If this was canon in Zelda, Ganondorf would have to hide from Shiek for 7 years.
watching this feels like cyber bullying.
Where is GRSmash and the M2K Whip Hype video?
The disrespect is strong with this one...and it was fucking hilarious
Are you going to upload PM from this tournament?
No more PM.

how is the frame rate so stellar?

m2k is pretty cheeky felt bad for eikelman
+blazblu3 I always feel bad for eikelman. First he got disrespected hardcore by Bizz at Apex and then m2k whip hypes his ass. I feel for Ganon mains.

why is commentary done by jimjamflimflam with a speech impediment?

M2K's been playing long enough that if he wants to bring a pichu to a tournament against a guy he knows he could beat otherwise, he can just go for it.

There are just more ways that sheik can edge guard that result in earlier or less risky kills.
lol do people still feel bad for eikelmann after the news?
What news?

Hey, I know that Eikelmann guy. He did pretty damn good against M2k. Shout outs to him for doing so well with mid tiers.

they need to put melee on the wii u store and add a multiplayer option. that would be amazing

Props to eiklemen for not choking m2k
oh god, what a edgehog ! i wonder what will he do in SSB4 now that that edge mechanic has been nerfed.
The fuck are you even saying
DatBayleef what im trying to say is that m2king can`t rely on his edgehogging tactic anymore (in SSB4) since that game mechanic has been removed.
You realize edgehogging isn't mew2kings tactic right? Like this is something that literally every competitive player regularly does? Do you think he only wins cause of this mechanic that he does and nobody else does? He's doing fine in smash 4 and is a top player in it.
You obviously don't play Marth or Shulk
Naji Lacey i stopped playing marth after they changed him in Brawl, i don´t know how good or bad he is in SSB4.
Why is Pichu a thing

Man I love the smash community
To this day I still can't believe Pichu was in Melee.
there are lots of clones in melee due to sakurai wanting a bigger roster, which explains dark pit
***** well actually dark pit was a clone but sakurai wanted him to have a unigue final smash. (which is just zelda's)
"it's kind of a chain grab" lol
Gotta say, M2K has a damn good Pichu.

M2K gives so much disrespect
I didn’t know Kripke from BBT Commentated melee matches
really? You guys have somebody with a lisp doing commentary?
M2K is just messing around in the end =p
That chain troll was awesome
I miss chain combos. I wish he did it more nowadays.
most disrespect was actually from the guy keeping count of matches won on the bottom
I like when m2k has fun playing melee
