Hi Everyone, this video, was just to prove that you can find some kind of gold, it didn't amount to much, but was an awesome time!!!

I'm gonna try my luck in the laurel mountains. It's about 35 minutes from me. I haven't heard much about anything being found there. But I do have a hunch.

We were on a small stream that meets the Yellow Breeches in Mechanicsburg, pa. We had the best 2 gentlemen to show us how to pan gold, they have had a lot of experience. We met them at our Military/Survival store in Middletown, PA

@@bugoutstuff5840 I'm in the York area. I'm gonna take a ride over some Saturday and check out your store. I never realized there was gold in this area. I used to work right near where you were panning. I think panning for gold would be a cool activity, my kids would enjoy thus summer!

I wonder if you dig deeper by couple feet down and start panning then you have a better chance of getting bigger pieces

Good idea with the 5 gal buckets. I would have drilled holes along the side of the bucket at different heights. The water will escape carrying the lighter ones out of the bucket - - Gold will sink to the bottom. As water leaves the bucket then more can be added ...

I read somewhere that you need a license through Fish and Game to pan in PA and other places I read that it’s not allowed at all on County, State Parks. Does anyone know the rules for prospecting/panning in PA? Thanks.

State Parks--ask the Ranger for permission-----Otherwise NO licence needed

I live in Chambersburg, plenty of streams here, but is it legal?

It looks like you don`t have enough water flow going in the sluice box ,One inch per foot just some thing you might try out next time for the videos

Thanks for your comment, we were on a very small stream that hooks up to the Yellow Breeches. This was our 1st time and we were so excited that we did find some gold, we did not expect to, but what an awesome experience. We will try your suggestion. Thank you

Why would central Pennsylvania be better for gold than let's say Western Pennsylvania or Eastern Pennsylvania ?
