The first time I listened to this song, i was a little boy going over to england to meet my father now every time i listen to this song it reminds me of him. I miss him, i really do.
the Ferry i take from Plymouth to Roscoff, to see my father i finally found after 49 years searching, plays this music, i love the music and the town. i'm heading there in two weeks time.

Mate this is this best feeling every year still as a 15 year old even though I'm getting to the age I will genuinely enjoy this sound at 6am every 6 week holiday I have left of school this sound reminds me of my grandparents aw dam who I miss very much 😢
I first heard this when Bretagne sailed to Santander. As a young boy and as a family, we sailed to Santander on her maiden season and now every time I sail to St Malo on her, it takes me back to those wonderful family holidays in Europe. I'm sailing on her tomorrow night again and very much looking forward to it.
Cette superbe musique nous a réveillés ce matin sur le Bretagne a l’approche de St Malo 😊 Nous avons adoré ce réveil et sommes très heureux de l’avoir retrouvée sur TH-cam. Merci de l’avoir postée !
When you’ve had not much sleep, there’s a *long* drive ahead, and this music wakes you up *far* too early… …and you don’t care because it’s the start of your holiday! 😀
Music always triggers memories for me. This brings back memories of many happy crossings with Brittany Ferries and the start and end of many wonderful holidays in France, and Italy.. But Bretagne will always have a special place in my heart, as I worked there for many years in the holiday trade.
It gives me the same sort of vibes as the film "Chocolat"... bittersweet nostalgia for something I never knew.. a sort of sympathy, a deep longing in my heart for I don't know what, a hopeful sadness, a lost joy..
Robert Bart. ..You star! !! I love this music. It brings back so many happy memories of Plymouth to Roscoff and then a fair old pull down to the Vendee
Peak nostalgia and good vibes. Means we're on holiday and about to step into an exciting few weeks in France, unveiled by driving off the back of a ferry into a new and exciting but familiar place surrounded by family and good times. Brings a tear to my eye!
Often see the speaker grill in the cabins dented where people have obviously hit it in frustration 😂 Love the music personally... evokes happy holiday memories.
If Brittany ferries does fade away this will be forever engraved into our minds along with every ship which ever played it my dad who’s been sailing with the company since 1991 on the quiberon has this as his alarm and so do I this is possibly one of the best music pieces ever created simple yet beautiful honestly so many good memories of this music
I actually heard this when I bought the album on the MV Amorique a few years ago. I was on a day crossing, but played this a lot in France and on the ship. Lots of memories none the less!
It plays in order to wake the sleeping passengers up gently. Much better than in the old days when a crew member used to walk through the corridors ringing a loud bell.
I note from Dremmwel's website that their album 'Lans' is out of stock though I have noted that Amazon hold a used copy in stock for 26 quid +, so many thanks to Robert Bart for this free listening. By the way, I checked the meanings of 'Troellen' (Spiral) and the band's name, 'Dremmwel' (Horizon). I'm not sure as to the album's name, 'Lans' but did I read 'Waiting' somewhere?
Love it and hate it. While it is a lovely piece of music, I struggle to sleep on moving modes of transport and it feels like as soon as I drop off to sleep, this is ringing in my ear hole. When I hear this I re live that feeling of angst.
Is this music only played on sailings to and from France that are overnight or is it also played on the Spanish sailings because I am going on one in a few days

Sad😢
I adore this tune, so many great memories of going on holiday with my family to France ❤❤

Wow! I remember getting so happy as a child hearing this knowing we reached France after driving hours to get to Dover.

Been searching for this wonderful piece of music for ages, happy memories from the ferry and thanks to whoever posted it!

Always wakes me up way too early, but I love it so I don't mind.
Thersoth Angrian-Black it's because when the ferry arrives they have got another ship to prepare and bored plus cook and clean
I love this haunting tune, even if it woke me at 5.45am after a skinful....
+Owl House its only right to wake to this after a skinful...
They started really quietly then went louder
Woken up like drunk Vikings
@@garethking8473 Aye, I’m a Geordie so that’s basically a Viking! 😁
Ever time I wake up in France I feel so good because this is playing
Been doing the crossing to uk several times a year for 15 years and that music is now quite embedded and I love it :)

Everything about France is magical!

Often see the speaker grill in the cabins dented where people have obviously hit it in frustration 😂 Love the music personally... evokes happy holiday memories.

THIS MUSIC BRINGS BACK THE MEMORIES OH GOD
Genuinely I heard this on the boat as a kid I thought it was sinking
Incredible memories, why have they changed it now💔💔💔
Its a great song to wake up to heard it so many times now

My family go to Kergroix near Quiberon every summer, It's so nice to see other people that have such great nostalgia tied to Bretagne!!
_Looks to other bunk…_
“Hey mate! Time to get up, we’re one hour from port.”
I actually heard this when I bought the album on the MV Amorique a few years ago. I was on a day crossing, but played this a lot in France and on the ship. Lots of memories none the less!
“when will it stoppp?”
Can't wait to go back to Pyla in August. Beautiful music to wake up to, and then drive the amazing highways to Bordeaux and onwards.
Woke up at 5:45 in France to this earlier today.
Pi same
SnazzyLeopard76 did you go on it

Plymouth Roscoff this beautiful masterpiece and then les mouettes
You hear that? That's the sound of waking up at 4am
I get nightmares from this
when ever i go to france this ALWAYS! wakes me up
On the « Mont st Michelle » boat they play this 11 TIMES !!
I've been using Brittany since ages now and I can't explain the feeling it gives to me... Like happiness but not exactly
And this is what woke me up this morning in Portsmouth :o)
It plays in order to wake the sleeping passengers up gently. Much better than in the old days when a crew member used to walk through the corridors ringing a loud bell.
I remember this when my mum went to see my grandma in hospital before she died. She was crying her eyes out.
lovely piece of boroc music
this isn't baroque, it's a celtic piece from 2006
Howdo i use this as my own alarm
It’s always so unexpected to it almost makes me shit myself every time
Thank you , Brittany Ferries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is this not great
Daniel Frisby-stokes, it sure is!
Makes me yearn to be on a ferry heading to Spain...
I can picture this song early in the morning mixed with imminent moans and groans that it's time to wake up.
Hearing this makes me feel seasick instantly haha
THAT KEY CHANGE halfway through (1:34) you KNOW you've slept in too long and OH DAMN GET OUT OF BED
St malo in the background just where I went a week ago!
THIS SONG!
I hate this song now because it woke me up super early just for me to be told we had an hour delay I could've slept more😭😭😭
Love it and hate it.
While it is a lovely piece of music, I struggle to sleep on moving modes of transport and it feels like as soon as I drop off to sleep, this is ringing in my ear hole. When I hear this I re live that feeling of angst.
Morning music was good
This work me up on mv Armorique is on the way to poland
Is this music only played on sailings to and from France that are overnight or is it also played on the Spanish sailings because I am going on one in a few days
Amazing
Does anyone know what instrument it is
Celtic harp ?
If you know you know🤣
Everyone here talking about Plymouth to Roscoff and I'm over here Portsmouth to St Malo
Same Portsmouth to St malo, I literally slepped the whole sailing so I didn't get to fully experience it
When you know, you know.
Fuck me am I the only one who hated the sound of this?
Hate this music waking me up si early
