    “Gate! Woo!” Ah hah hah hah!!! Awesome! 👏 😎
    As a handyman I always put my box of screws inside another matching empty box. That way when I need small screws in the bottom I just slowly pour from one into the other till I find what I need. Then the newly filled box goes inside the now empty box for future use. Numbers look fantastic! They seem to match your style.

      @@JessieatPlot37 I don't know if you saw my previous comment... Mrs Bowtie and I will be staying in Kensington a few days in October of next year (2024) with friends from Canada. Only two out of the four of us are gardeners but we've scored one gardening theme place to visit while we are there and we are looking at Kensington Gardens. Some time next year (in about a year) I would like to check with you to see if there is anything better we should not miss once things are on the schedules if that is okay. I would hate to discover too late we missed one of your amazing gardening shows, however, that time of year may be a poor showing. I just love when you are able to take your camera around greater London!

    I love pelleted seeds 😂 so much easier to see where you put them. They are coated in an inert clay so no issues with germination 🤞🤞. Still no rain as I type but much cooler days 👍. Something quite nice about clearing beds and prepping for winter. You need a carrot box cage that lifts from the top only like a cold frame. Well have a wonderful week ladies happy gardening, Ali 🌥️🇨🇦

    Now.. I have been bingewatching your videos from last spring, till now, and I'm subscribed - but also very hooked! A storm took my beloved greenhouse, so i'm currently waiting for my partner to build the new one I have bought :) But I must say I am so impressed with how organized you two are - how you save seed trays, pots and stuff, and ACTUALLY use them! Also, you seem to have everything you could possibly need in that wonderful shed, for just about every situation you could possibly be in!
    Just a few kind words from Denmark, keep up the good work! :)

    Cincinnati Ohio,USA here, and I just wanted to tell you that I finally have my first hens! Four is my FAVORITE number. I think it's the perfect amount. There's just me and my daughter. I keep them in my little backyard and they get run of the whole garden. It's a perfect number of girls. They are wearing colored anklets, so that's how I named them. They are identical, but each have a personality that I wanted to be able to distinguish from one another.
    My Beautiful Red Partridge Plymouth Rocks: Green-Ivy, Yellow-Sunny, Amethyst-Amy, Red-Rosie
    I may possibly need to rethink the free-range bit, because they are tearing and uprooting things up! Hehehe At the moment it's still fun to watch them "help." But I too, have been putting off starting cool crops. Glorious weather indeed. Cheers to our 4 Feathered Fluffies!

    When you were preparing the citronella in your shed I spied the yellow Bee Hotel tin which I also happen to have. Sadly, a few months time it literally fell apart (wood glue could not handle our searing Texas heat). The tin however stores the seeds I plan for the next sowing. Ahzah! Heat so far has delayed loads of fall/winter plantings of transplants. Heat finally relented a week ago. Hello fall!😊

    I have really struggled with carrots the last 2 years after a bumper crop in my first year of gardening. I tried the green seed ones and had awful awful germination so not trying those again. I’ll keep trying other varieties. I’ve even built an extra deep 60 cm tall bed lately especially for or parsnips and carrots so fingers crossed for next year. I had also fallen into the growing several varieties trap as I I hadn’t realised the seed doesn’t keep well. I also have to keep them protected from my dogs who will help themselves to a carrot snack if they can!

    Closing the garden soon here in western Canada. A couple of things may survive the winter, snow being a great insulator, but the nights are getting very cool. Part of me would like to garden year round, but I also love our seasons so I shall live vicariously in your garden like a little gnome under some foliage. As for carrot germination, I use a sheet of cardboard because I plant a whole 4 x 8 bed, and I can keep it damp. I panicked earlier, thinking that rotten root fly got in under the covering but I panicked too soon. I have enough carrots to feed half my village. Lol! Pelleted seed is the cat’s meow! Little or no thinning required.

    I finally got to grow & taste Japanese Black Trifelle! Last year when I tried I discovered my seeds were either mislabeled or crossed, but this year my seeds were true. It's an excellent tomato & I'm thinking I need to grow it again next year. BTW I enjoy all the camera angles you set up - I know it takes time to set up the camera, film part of the scene, go back to get the camera & set up the next scene - but when you're done editing everything flows so beautifully. Well done!

    When I first started gardening I did get pelleted carrot seed (it had a white substance and they were almost perfectly round), truthfully it is so much easier and required far less thinning. Moving to open pollinated seed meant giving that up. I am having ok results with carrots but planting the bush beans in front did slow my second sowings in the gaps. But small carrots are better than no carrots. Hope the citronella helps again 🤞🏻🥂

    • @andersonomo597
      @andersonomo597 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you tried using a DIY seed tape? I hate thinning - I feel like a murderer so I've made my own 'tape' using tissue paper and a bit of flour and water as glue to hold the seeds in place. If I don't get 100% germination, it's not an issue - the odd gap is better than tedious thinning! Cheers from Oz!!

    Great video as always. You're not the only one who had no shows on your carrots, it seems to have been quite common this year. In our case two lots of new seed wasted, although I'm pretty sure they germinated but where just mowed down by the ridiculous number of earwigs we had this year.
    Can I please ask where your orange sprayer came from? That looks just the job to replace our broken one.
    Reference remembering to do things ie make additional sowings, I use reminders on my phone by either adding to a general to do list or putting it in my phone calendar for a specific date with a reminder.....or two😂
