I'm a self-taught welder, I have been welding for the last 3 years with MiG, I am saving up for a good TIG machine.
I love learning new things and this video is awesome, I love watching skilled welders work, and this guy most definitely knows what he is doing.
Great video and thank you for sharing.

I dint know how I got to this vidio but I couldn't stop watching and found it to be surprisingly satisfying lol ..I have ruff carpentry skills and limited mechanical skills and never really thought much about welding .working with metal looks very challenging but satisfying. I might just go take up a welding class and have found a new hobby

Nice fab work. Some years ago I switched over to using the Bacho 6”, 8” and 10”, wide mouth, thin end adjustable wrenches. I haven’t touched any of my old crescents in so long that I should probably sell or give them away to an apprentice. Well, that’s if I could find a decent go getter these days. At any rate, when you need that “damnit, just a little more” on a valve, a nut or whatever, the Bachos never fail to open all the way. The handles are pretty comfy too.

Best vids ever. We used to have a guy on our site that was like this guy... awesome trade techniques that blow your mind... he made me a little cross that was all orbital welds. It was tiny and I still have it as a keychain till this day. The welds and cool techniques I used to just sit and watch as I was supposed to be doing my safety inspections.
Just like the. I could sit and watch all day again on these vids lol. I love it

The pinholes were due to lack of proper cleaning/prep on the main tube. If you pause at the 13:57 mark, you can see some deep scratches and pitting in the tube. The tubing was leftover from a previous project (over 5 years ago) and the surface should've been sanded/finished better before welding (or I should've just ordered new clean tubing). It's an easy fix though- Drill (with approx. 1/4" drill bit) or die grind out the center of the pinhole almost the whole way through the material, clean, and put a good spot weld on top and leak check again.

Pro tip, use neoprene tubing over the jaws of your pliers to protect the workpiece from the dreaded "union stamp." It's much faster to apply and remove, and the tubing can be reused, unlike the tape.

Don't mind mentioning, went straight from lol at the bike, to 'oh God, this could end badly' at the tap in the rattlegun. I know it's only aluminium, but still made me wince.
I take it the last big pipe you welded in is a mounting post, to bolt it to the floor in location, and it'll probably get a mounting foot welded on in the next video?

A little aluminum prep or acid goes a long way. I'm surprised how clean the welds are, but do not see what you are cleaning with.
