Lovely work. I have made many smocked dresses for my granddaughter who is now 25. I have a large collection of the Australian Smocking Magazines like the one you were looking through in the video. I subscribed to them in the US rom Australia. They were expensive but I have never seen a more beautifully designed and photographed magazine. I met many of the designers when they were here in the US for promotion. I still have my pleater. I don’t make them anymore but have many happy memories of making them when she was a baby. I even taught another daughter-in-law and she made many dresses for her daughter and then a granddaughter. I keep all the things because I dream that I might get a great grandchild and can sew for that generation. Who knows? Thank you for the reminder of nice memories.
