- War Thunder Char 2c, T1E1, and Churchill NA75 gameplay. "Sky Guardians" update.
War Thunder "Sky Guardians" update added 3 new heavy tanks (Char FCM 2c, T1E1, and Churchill NA75). So today I decided to play with all of them in one video, with a little challenge.
I need to get 5 kills (0 deaths) with each tank before I can move to the next one.
That's sounds easy, and I could probably got for 10kills, but I don't like pain because one of these 3 isn't that good... Guess witch one?

What do you guys think about them?
I personally feel like Churchill NA75 sits at too high br. Churchill III which is at 4.0 with stabiliser and 130mm of pen(no HE filler) feels stronger to me. Plus armor is more effective at lower br.
2C feels strong till you meat any sherman tank lol , and T1E1 is solid( at least it has a proper gun )
churchill 3 has arguably better gun as well

Fun Fact: The 2C actually had a shell with more penetration, Gaijin just refuses to add it.
not only the 1916 shell should have a bit more penetration than this but the canon can fire the 1910M shell of the SAU40, and all types of shells ever issued to the 75 (including APCBC and APDS)
gaijin's hate for france is so strong they went through the process of making 2 entirely new shells for the 2C, just to make it weaker than it could have been with ammunition we already have in game

Shouldn't it have similar performance as the american 75? For the people who doesn't know or understand what I mean, the American 75 mm's are based on the French 75mm 1897 artillery gun (the gun that Char 2C carries) and both of them shoots shells with the same casing size (75x350mm). So should the shells really makes that much of a difference?

99% of the time I like to unlock tanks myself. But sometimes I need the vehicle right now( for the video) not tomorrow, so I would use GE

That moment with the Panzer saying "holy Jesus, what the hell is that" was absolute peak comedic timing. Laughed my ass off at work XD
It is a pity that the model of this churchil is not exactly made, because in order to fit the sherman cannon in the turret and for the loader to have a way to function, the gun breech was rotated 180 degrees and in war thunder it was not shown

You can tell how much he loved that churchill, he almost broke in to tears when he got that 5th kill, probably getting sad over the fact that he had to switch.

Im so happy you did a reverse only game in the T-1. As soon as you showed the reverse speed is as high as forwards, LITERALLY my first thought was "Huh... I wonder if using the engine as spaced armor is a cheese enough tactic to work".

The penetration of the Char 2C is a f*cking joke. But as always with France, Gaijin absolutly didn't care...
Yeah the Char C2 is a monster. Literally MONSTER. I friken love it at 2.7

Fun fact: The French experimented with a HEAT round for the 75mm on the 2C, but Gaijin didn't implement it
2C in a good tier is pretty fun, that shell makes a lot of damage if It pens and explode even in really low armor vehicles. It's amazing how some people don't see that huge vehicle, maybe they think it's a building xddd.

The M6A1 used to be one of my go-to tanks back in the day. Back when it had a decent APHE round and the 75 jumbo was the same br as it, it was one hell of a combo. Its the stabilizer that makes it so good tbh

The spinning cupolas on the 2C are actually vision ports. They have a bunch of tiny slits in them spaced out evenly so at a certain RPM range you can see through them as if nothing was there while still being protected by the "armour"

That churchill sums up my experience with all of them. It's sort of the inverse of the panzer 4s with the long guns but the same experience; it's a bit ropey on it's br but can work, lower it's great, but you always seem to get up-tiered.
Constant uptiers is the biggest problem with it
@@DOLLARplaysYes, exactly. It's an early example of the problem many late ww2 tanks have that rely on lots of armour. Then they get uptiered where everyone's got that HEAT to go right through the thickest part of their armour, no problem...

the best part of the video was that you thought that 10 kills were a bit too much for the char but you did the originally planed 10 kills in the first round with the char.
and by the way did you try the Conqueror with its new 490mm pen apds, i think it could be a lot of fun in a slight uptier.

I didnt expect you to do so well with the Char2C, but you did. Great gameplay. Watching you get beat up by that howitzer Sherman with the StuG just driving past you was painful. Some people in this game are kinda braindead ^^

Honestly, the Char 2c is very good as long as you don't get uptiered. The aphe round pretty much one shots anything it pens.
The thing is you are always get uptiered, and stuff like 105 sherman is just one step above.
