21:54 If you're wondering, the reason that the sugar is correctly affected by the distortion effect while the corn syrup isn't is likely because the corn syrup is translucent. Rendering opaque textures is pretty easy because you end up with only one surface shown in each pixel, but semi-transparent objects are a lot more complex because the order of rendering becomes important, so they're usually drawn as a separate step in the render process. It looks like the distortion is only being applied to the opaque render pass, probably because it needs to use the Z-buffer (which stores how far away each pixel is) and semi-transparent textures don't work with Z-buffers because there's more than one distance per pixel. You can see at 21:30 that the translucent candy islands also don't interact with the effect correctly; they're still being drawn where they would be without the distortion, and you can even see the silhouette of the pre-distortion grass. 28:30 Okay, while all the stuff I said is true, I think maybe the reason the distortion is only being applied to the opaque render pass is because the game's developers don't know what render passes are haha

It literally just started, lol.
@@markb4196 11 hours is a long time!
Shoutout to the devs on this game. Like, in spite of Josh being... Josh, it kept a solid framerate the whole video.
yeah very fair. although i feel like if josh does a 2nd vid the game, it might start crying.
that's because they just stole satisfactory's code
I think this is the 1st time JOSH has ever gotten annoyed in a game..... Lol I thought it was always the other way around 😂😂😂
It also happened in the "Mon bazou" video where he got really annoyed at a gas can.
@@XiX_Mega_W okay 2nd one then 😂👌
I’ve always imagined what if one of his subscribers made a game just to annoy him 😂
.
The Amazing Digital Circus game looks wild man! Ever since episode 2 of that show was released, it has gained some attraction! I should have a looksie and play it now.
Josh never fails to impress me with his sheer intelligence and ability to exploit the weaknesses of every game he plays. This man genuinely is skilled at what he does. Most people would get good at the game normally but Josh has gotten good at the game abnormally.
This looks like a Satisfactory asset flip. The running animations look identical
Because it is, look "Grand Emprise" made from the same guy, it has even the same menu bought from the Unreal store
This dev is smart. Make a cash grab asset flip, rip off of satisfactory and then give LGIO a key and he’ll play it for free advertising.
Haunted Chocolatier turned out a lot different from its early reveal trailer...
god i wanna have a beer with this guy
I was about to comment "I can't tell if Josh is just less insane in this video or if I've gotten used to it."
*Then the stairs arrived and it all went downhill*
At some point in the video he went literally downhill
1:40 that was the best rhyme ever
"A River Of Piss" 💀
i was expecting him to say "ill drink from this
"Oh my goodness and what's this?"
1:59 is the most emotional I have ever heard Josh been in my entire life
Is just me or literally everytime josh plays a factory game he becomes a parasite and finds a host/biome/world he just does random stuff to his perfection.
This is a lot of effort to develop a satisfactory ripoff. I'm impressed.
Satisfactory didn't invent the factory game genre. Look at Factorio and Dyson Sphere Program and Astro Colony and Techtonica and Astroneer
@@camlind12 I don't think they mean rip-off of factory games. I think they mean like the visual style and kind of general vibe. It's VERY similar.
@@AlexanderNash And the way things are built, and the game mechanics, and basically everything but the textures.
@@camlind12 But this game is pretty clearly entirely "inspired" by satisfactory
@@camlind12 yeah but at least satisfactory is different from others in the factory game genre, this just looks like an ugly retexture
Nothing is better than Josh’s plan to cross the invisible wall
Wow, that's totally Satisfactory, but candy themed. They're not even trying to hide it.
But it looks awesome, and delicious.
Legend has it he's still being notified to open the tech tree to this day
1:58 I think this moment alone sums up my year so far
This really is just satisfactory but everything has different names and textures lol
Even with that island at 16:30 reminded me of the waterfall area in the starting zone that is there just for show.
the sheer panic in his voice when fighting the gingerbread-man doesn't come out often
It's funny that after all he has done, punching gingerbread men is the thing that makes him feel remorse.
9:29
Josh: "G to open Tech Tree, no!"
Go to open Tech Tree: "What?"
Josh: "Sorry. Force of habit."
13:00
"Eyes, face and teeth they would all be inside me"
Regular Josh here
Those "sugar crystals" sure got an interesting shape I wouldn't be to surprised if they have other purposes...
My first thought: sugar crystal lamp
@@durratulaishah3703 other other purposes
My mother and I just found Josh about a month ago and we have watched all his videos. My mom thinks it’s is so funny when he glitches games. We both love your channel! Keep it up!
