Out of the various corers I have used, I find the Paddock brand the best. The bluebird, weibang are just way to top heavy and unstable on sloping areas.
Have a look at the predator LS 460 scarifier about $ 950 I’ve got one and it’s a beast, also interchangeable cartridges like a vertimower and I’ve got the big bob utility mower which I picked up second hand off gumtree and it works a treat.
Awesome vid, good luck on the discussion with your wife about upgrading your equipment! Side note I modified my ryobi 36v mower by drilling a new lower notch, has made it far more useful than its standard minimum 25mm. Missed opportunity by Ryobi setting the min height to that in my view!
Would recommend mowing low, getting a predator to dethatch and thin it out, then get the victa on it. Should have an easier time scalping low with the victa with less material to get through. I've got the Ryobi and a victa utility... But have access to a predator and it made it a lot easier. I just use my ego rotary mower to pick up the clippings in between.
Honestly mate get rid of that child’s scarifier and buy a petrol one and while your at it a ride on mower for that size yard. With how easy it is to get payment plans for tools it’s a no brainer every day of the week for me.Those tools you’re using on that is like trying to wipe out a Army with a water pistols mate.Keeo up the great work!!!👍
Second that ^^ 2 different cartridges in domestic range and I think commercial includes the verti cutter reel. Probably pay extra for that reel and more for the machine but yeh Definately need a better scarifyer
What a journey this comment was to end with keep up the great work hahaha unsure about payment plans for equipment to use 1-2 times a year in my backyard. I’m keen to upgrade or borrow some equipment next Reno but don’t forget I’m just a humble DIYer
@lawnsingoodnick maybe you should get in touch with someone in financial advice to put a plan together on upgrading the tools… though i feel like they might… Inspire… you to soldier on with the current fleet 😂

That’s awesome if it still works well with the mod mate!

Solid process mate!
Look at the predator scarifier, works great.
They do look good
I’ve had mine for 12 months works great. Picked mine up from Drysdale mower.
Put a weight or bag on fert on that ryobi, stops it bouncing around and allows you to get lower too
Ryobi would love that haha
