Ojciec stanął na wysokości zadania, dumny, z całą gracją poprowadził córkę do ołtarza. Matka i babcia miały podkrążone oczy, co jest wynikiem nieprzespanej nocy, niesamowitym stresem. Siostry też nie miały łatwego zadania, ale pięknie przemawiały. BRAWOO dla tej rodziny !!!!

I haven't seen the entire of other Swedish Royal wedding, but this is by far the best and I sense the presence of God and His love. The priest delivered the love message of God and the ordinance of marriage in the Bible and read the very passages as it is written in the Scriptures is so beautiful..

There is no competition as to which royals are best - they all do their duties as is fit for their country. All the brides are beautiful and all the cermonies are beautiful! Let us just enjoy them all!
I agree that there is no competition for who did what best etc. However, we all have preferences that make us individuals, and it doesn't have to turn into a match. With this particular wedding, it felt so inviting, romantic and warm. There were so many smiles, even from the Royal Family, that made them appear to be much more human than our Royal Family. I actually sat, watched, and enjoyed this ceremony, but I can't say the same for the royal weddings I have observed here in the UK, as I find them too formal and cold for my liking.
This was REAL LOVE x ABOUT LOVE. I felt every moment watching this couple while understanding nothing outside of the songs performed. After suffering through watching the Prince of Monaco nuptial to Princess Charlene. I felt like solid stone. No eye contact, no touching, no smiling at each other, no side whispering between them. If these are against Monaco customs while getting married forgive my ignorance. Prince Carl Philip x Princess Sofia had me smiling from ear to ear. I read that they just welcomed another son back in March-April of this year. Bless this union🌺

The difference according to fashion protocole in Britain is tradition for the weddings to happen in the morning so you knee length suit or dress with a hat or fascinator. If the wedding ceremony is in the afternoon (3/5pm) you wear a evening gown.

I am from Sweden. This was a prince wedding, not a crown prince wedding, which is different. There are many many MANY traditional royal details in this wedding, from the flowers in her bouquet, to the labours of each and every employee in the royal house of Sweden, many have worked there for over 40 years. For those of you who laugh it of as Disney like, I would like to remind you of the fact that there are no "royal" worldwide general traditions. This is Sweden, and each country with a monarchy has their own very old traditions, which mat not be noticed by other nationalities, or even by many Swedes. The royal court staff that helped organize this wedding week were delighted to be part of preparing such a personal wedding within the royal family, a wedding that was very intimate and unique when we look at the history of royal weddings in Sweden, in Sweden we love to see our royals like this, and our prince deserved every moment of this, after all he's been through. It was a true priviligue to be allowed to share this moment, and a kind gesture from the prince and Sofia to share it with us. Congratulations Carl Philip and Sofia, this was your moment at last, and no one elses

I appreciated the simple open carriage for their departure as much as I liked the gold coach provided for other countries ceremonies. I believe it can be said that kind Carl Phillip is a prince among men. Again, Lucky lucky Sofia.
happymommy1 being from the US I think the Swedish Royal family is one of the happiest and most down to earth, while still maintaining their royal "look'... we have nothing to compare it to, so many thanks for helping us here understand the difference between the types of weddings... thankfully some things are, like this ceremony are in keeping with tradition. Thank you, even we, the Swedes get to learn a lot about our monarchy with every royal wedding, and Sofia had to be trained for years in order to learn at least some of it. The carriage is from the beginning of the 1900:s, and I think crown princess Victoria got to ride in another one at her wedding, since there are many things, from veils, crowns, cradles, that are reserved for the heiress. Carl Philip had much more freedom to make his wedding "his own" even though Victoria and Daniel managed to make it personal as well. All royal brides wear a small branch of myrtle from the Sofiero castle in either their hair or the bouquet, in order to honor a british princess who married into the swedish royal family and planted a beautiful garden at Sofiero castle which is now a museum :-)
They are very loved here, and we love to see Carl Philip so happy, he used to be very shy and quiet, and the queen and king has longed for grandchildren for a long time, i am really happy for the whole family, and the support means a LOT to them, in both victorias and Carl Philips cases it was the swedish people that supported their choice of partners, Victoria even Said on her wedding day, to the people cheering outside the castle: thank you for giving me my prince :-)
I've seen many royal weddings but this was the most emotional and the songs in the ceremony were amazing!
💕 Everyone was so beautiful, all the ladies were so gorgeous! That dress needed to be more, for such a big event and such elegance and sophistication that dress needed to be more, the crown 👑 needed to be more.
