This helps me and my church. My brother plays and sometimes preaches and now that I'm learning guitar I can help out and add to the service. This will really help him out. He normally plays behind my father when he preaches. So now I can edify him like he does my dad
You are awesome Jessica. This is exactly how I started playing keyboard a few years back. My dad plays for everything/everyone else, but when he preaches, there wasn't anyone. So I got started. Hope you've progressed!
Thank you man I been praying to God for more understanding of what your teaching great Job man . 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 you know buddy it’s the small things we do that allows God to open the Big doors 🚪 in our life thanks so much
i just found you here Dec/31/2019. and i really like your teaching, you go slow enough or me to get a full understanding, and i can actually see the chords you play. with diabetic neuropothy in my hands and fingers i can't play like i used to a God given gift since i was 4 years old. i pray that he restores my nerves and my playing. awesome teachings to God be the Glory.
Praying for you Charlie. I have some right hand last two fingers with a bit of damage too. Mine are getting better slowly... I pray yours are restored in the flesh asap! Blessings brother Charlie.
Discovered you yesterday...can’t wait to dig in to become more able to support my church choir, minister, and band, so thank you, you’re the hero of my days now!
Thank you for making this, I’ve started playing for my church not long ago and I’m still finding my feet and getting comfortable but this is one of the things I need to work on, thank you💙
Lesson was super cool bro. Ive been trying to learn these chords for a while. This lesson really helped. Also im back tracking through your lessons because there's a lot of good stuff in it.
Very cool! Interesting that starting @ 1:37 I can hear somewhat of a chord progression from the group of yesteryear --- "The Coasters." I think it is there song --- "Along Came Jones." I'm not exactly sure and I do "not" have a great ear, but it did in fact come to mind and yes, I'm the old guy in the room, which I'd need to be in order to remember, "The Coasters."
I usually let the rest of the band handle it during preaching and do a little bit of riffs because the sound of the guitar can really take over and it can overly saturate the music but you have some nice ideas.
I love doing this. But as for me I don't play "Preaching Chords". I do what I refer to as Chording Preaching. That way I never play the same thing twice in any giving service.
Same thing as the bottom half, just remove your ring finger altogether and play the G, B & E strings... so essentially you are playing the three high strings of the major chord.
quick question. when you're doing the I/iii to the IV to the b5 then to the V, the V you go to is the V of F (C7) instead of V of C (G7). did i see that wrong or can you actually sub that there and maybe call it a V7/IV?
I went to your praise break lesson it said to come to this vid when I got to this one it said the chords you're doing is in another lesson. Where is the link for that lesson or what is it called.
Travis,.... when you do a lesson like this do you ever think,...."maybe I should tell them what key I am in?...... cause if you don't,..... zero numbers make sense to the new guy. I have enough chops to play this stuff if you were a little slower and fundamentaly based.... in other words,.... slow it down for the dumb guys,.... spell shit out. I love gospel and it fits into so many other types of music
私は日本の高校生ギタリストです。日本にはこのような素晴らしい動画はないのでとてもありがたいです!!!!

Hi.. Can you use these chords in a song so we know how to use it thanks😊
Thanks for this post... are all these chords moveable??
What scales are you using to add more to the progression?
Thank you so much what are the chords written?
can I get the chords in a chart progressing please...
Bro I love the sound !!! What is your tune of your guitar? Are you using an foot petal?
What are you hitting for the “top half” of those dominate chords ?
Same thing as the bottom half, just remove your ring finger altogether and play the G, B & E strings... so essentially you are playing the three high strings of the major chord.

Are you using a vox amp? That tone is CRISP
