I used to collect a lot of vintage patterns and notions, but haven't been sewing much for the last several years. I had to downsize my collection before we moved late last year, and ended up donating a TON of stuff. What you say about letting friends and family members know about your sewing hobby is so true! I would have loved to have given that stuff to someone specific who I knew would use it.
