Being friends with Taylor Swift, being a regular on a popular show, staring on Broadway.....I think he started to think he was top dog and untouchable. He forgot that just as easy as things come, they can go just as fast.

I don’t even think it’s just about how famous he got because he was doing this way back on his TH-cam days before he got big to where he would have people help with his videos and then not pay them for it or give them credit.
Jamal Sims is easily the superior choreographer, so even outside of Todrick's behaviour I'm happy they've been using Jamal more and more (plus he's worked with Drag Race even longer than Todrick so 🤷🏻♀️).
I also liked the choreographer they used this year--I can't remember his name, I'm afraid. He was great at being supportive and meeting the queens where they are at on their...dance journey, shall we say.
I prefer Jamal because he actually caters to the queens and work around their shortcomings. Can't do a certain part of choreo? Jamal: no biggie, we'll work around that and come up with something that not only you can do but will work with what the other queens gotta do
I went to that Halloween party he said that never happened. Two of my friends were hired to work the event and were NEVER paid as well. Todrick is so damn shady
I was in both videos of “NHHH” & “Rainin’ Fellas” both videos were said to be paid, I never got paid. I have the emails still to this day, claiming that a payment was being worked out…so yes, I can gladly say I was one of the dancers he didn’t pay.
i think you could sue for that. i think the people he promised to paid really should sue him so then maybe he'll stop not paying people because being sued takes away more money than if he actually paid people.

The thing about Big Brother is contestants are being filmed 24/7. Big Brother shows people's true colors. That was a perfect show for him to go on and just let him naturally expose himself.
AND he's a superfan of the show. Last season he invited several contestants stay with him after the finale. He must be incredibly deluded to act this way. Even though it only airs a couple days a week, hardcore fans subscribe to watch live feeds.

It’s why unions like SAG exists - to ensure base pay/treatment etc. Never, ever do free work (unless you absolutely want to/it’s for a good cause). The problem with that story is most of those performers were promised pay, but didn’t receive it. I think that’s why it’s such a problematic incident, ya know?

I can’t say I’m sad about this - I met him briefly back in 2017 at Drag Con in NY and it was so disappointing, he was just so unfriendly and cold, I haven’t been a fan since.
He was notoriously known for not paying his dancers since way before 2019 if you knew of him back then you would know. I remembered watching his video of him living in an unfurnished apartment, struggling to find funding for his video or whatever. He was there at the bottom as a struggling performer like the majority of people in LA as well but when he was able to climb up the social and fame ladder he ditched and cheated all of those dancer friends. He is horrible.
Exactly - especially when he was putting on a production of The Wizard of Oz. It was shocking how he was able to sweep these things so under the rug (with that smirk of his, of course) and get so popular. What an awful scammer.
I worked as his personal assistant for 2 days and he didn’t pay me until I aggressively texted him for payment multiple times. That aside, he was rude and entitled and a nightmare to work with.

IMO, people blow this way out of proportion. He's asked for volunteers, for some of his videos, yeah. Of course he wouldn't pay volunteers. If you go in understanding that you're in a volunteer position, you shouldn't expect to get paid. He probably should be paying people at least a $50/day, for any kind of massive shoot, since he's a bigger name, now. But if he asks for volunteers, I don't think anyone can really fault him for it, personally. Don't want to volunteer? Don't. But a small misunderstanding and then asking for volunteers rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and everyone just assumes he's a massive lying cheat, now. I don't think the DR fandom actually cares about the truth, 99% of the time. They just want to feel special for being in on the know.

Todricks controversy started long before big brother. With him not playing people, sexual harassment claims and more. I used to support him, but the pattern of behavior in the reports were consistent.
Todrick Hall, a number of years ago, did an event here in Las Vegas. My friends worked the event, and were never paid so therefore also not reimbursed for things such as lights, rigging, backup dancers, etc. Essentially they were told they were lucky to have even worked with him. They lost quite a bit of money over it while Todrick walked off with all the funds.
Honestly I knew it was something off about him. Never understood why he had such a huge fan base. Glad to see that trusting your gut is still a good thing

He has always been like this! When he was performing at Six Flags he would show up when he wanted to, not caring if they had to cancel the first show. I never knew him super well, as we were in different shows his last year there, but all the people who were there longer than me did. He came back to. Visit after his time on American Idol and my friends in my show went to talk with him afterwards. I went with them because we were going to take our break and get food after their conversation. I was politely waiting for them to finish talked and he stops in the middle of their conversation and was like, “I’m sorry, but who are you?” So rudely. That’s his character and it will never change. My husband was also a supervisor at Six Flags and couldn’t stand his bs. He always had bs at the park. It amazes me how many of the people forgot about it because he became famous. And that is his personal Facebook page.
He’s insanely talented and artistically brilliant, however it all gets tarnished with his behavior and shady ways. We should no longer justify his actions and put his talent in the middle as a shield to defend him. It’s just not okay…we shouldn’t even cancel him. Just stop buying his stuff 💀

A lot of black people feel that Todrick is anti black. I don't fully agree but I see where they're coming from. Many of his older TH-cam videos are heavy on black stereotypes almost like a digital minstrel show. Like what a racist white person would think are funny black stereotypes. there was a period of time people bought merch from a company he ran. TLDR: no one got their merch, or a refund. I believe he ran this with long time friends (why they stuck around, I'll never know).

I used to watch him before drag race and while it wasn’t mentioned here this is not new behavior he scammed two male creators that I believe were directors to one of his much older TH-cam videos so he’s been doing this long before he got big they made a video about it but it was probably almost a decade ago now.
there's allegations he hired his, at the time, boyfriend to be a back up dancer on one episode of rpdr. his bf is British, and apparently did not have the correct visa to work in the US. todrick had wow pay his assistant, a US citizen instead and got the assistant to pass the funds along to the dancer bf. since splitting up, the now ex-bf, spoke up during an earlier round of the todrick is over party, exposing this detail, and how todrick allegedly defrauded wow and rupaul for hiring the Brit. the ex then went on to say the reason they separated was because he found out todrick was cheating on him. five years ago, todrick was still very adamant that he was waiting for marriage and presented himself as a "wholesome" character. apparently we all mistook him for using a w in holesome.
I also felt there's something off about him despite him being a friend with Coleen Ballinger who is probably the most unproblematic person ever. I hate the lyrics in his song FAG, they are so negative. I wish him well, maybe he should hire a therapist to get him past his traumas.
Some folks make the mistake of believing their own hype. I’ve been a working artist for close to 30 years and have seen it happen over and over again. These are also usually the same people who tend to disappear when it’s time to get paid or try to get you to work for “exposure”.
When there are THAT many rumors about not paying people and not paying your rent and stuff, they're usually true. If it were just one or maybe even two rumors then that's a little different. But there are just so many with him!
I just wanna say something on the topic of Todrick. As a dancer of 10 years I absolutely hate the way he talks to queens on the show. A professional dance teacher would never talk to students that way. He always taunts them about not knowing the choreo after a couple minutes.. like dude give them a chance to learn it first. You’re not gonna learn a dance that fast especially with non-dancers 😒 even I still have a hard time picking up choreo when first learning it, you don’t get it perfect the first few times, it’s about the practice afterwards. I just hate how he makes the queens feel bad or stressed out for not knowing the choreo the first time learning it.. it ticks me off. None of my dance teachers have ever done that to me or other students. They politely correct you, not insult or taunt you. Maybe it’s just for TV, idk, but I hate it and find it frustrating to watch. I personally think it’s just another thing that reveals his real attitude.
As a dancer and choreographer, I completely agree!! I always hated when he was the choreographer on RPDR, he was always so condescending and rude to the queens (who were genuinely trying their best). It really rubbed me the wrong way.
Todrick has ALWAYS rubbed me the wrong way. His "shade" has always read as him not joking and really meaning what he is saying. Glad to know my BS meter is still functioning correctly.

I actually randomly met him waiting on a line to get into a New York nightclub years ago because my friend wanted to meet him. He acted very pretensious and he wasn't even that famous yet at the time. Ever since then he was off putting and I didn't like him.

I met him his first year on drag race meet n greet here in Vegas. I've been a fan of him since his Facebook content days. I was so excited and said "I'm proud of you" he was so rude and dismissive. That was over 5-6 years ago, he's truly an awful spirit so seeing this I'm not surprised

I don't think he'll be back. Manila has such a good rapport with the show and RuPaul I don't see them bringing todrick back unless things have settled between them.
He just does such bizarre things, for instance, he was pretending he bought a house that he was actually renting, and he was renting all the furniture, and is now being sued by the actual homeowner for back rent. He could have actually bought a house for the amount of money he spent, if he'd just live within his means instead of pretending to be more wealthy than he actually is. Imagine making as much money as he has, and really having nothing to show for it. And his big brother comments just prove how self-absorbed (self-obsessed) and lacking empathy he is.
I once went to a private event where he was paid to give people advice on how to start their own youtube channels and how to make it successful. His advice was less than subpar. He was completely disingenuous and belittling. So am I surprised all this happened? Not in the slightest. Am I happy that his cover is blown? Definitely. Now the world will see him for what he truly is. The one good thing that came out of the event was that he complimented me on my eyes, which honestly shouldn't be a highlight for a talk on how to build a youtube empire...

The comment about shooting vs torture was one of those thoughts that may be true but didn't need to be said out loud. There is truth what he said. It was just insensitive to say it. Killing someone you hate absolutely hurts their family more than the person you dislike. But that's not something you say to their friends and family.
You don't die suddenly from bullets, that's all Hollywood. Unless it's a head wound, part of the spine, or quickly bleed out, it's painful. Even if you survive, you can have chronic pain. Downplaying in front of someone who said they lost a friend is BOLD
I've heard bad things about him for years, through the grapevine, even when his public persona was still being received well. The Big Brother stuff seems tame by reality TV drama, but definitely that house lie seems outrageous.
As someone who is friends with Todrick's best friend, I can confidently say that while this is true Todrick is also a kind-hearted person who cares very much about the people he is close to. It is sad that fame can go to people's heads in the way that it does.

I wasn’t aware of who Todrick was until Big Brother 24. He, as a fellow super fan, welcomed the BB24 cast, particularly The Cookout, to his home post show. He was featured in the cast and other bb alumni post show videos/TikToks. So when it was announced a fellow superfan was going to be on BB celeb special season, the fandom was thrilled. He was number 1 pick for many drafts. But quickly took a turn with his unnecessary actions in the house. He called it gameplay, when it wasn’t. It was maliciousness and the fandom quickly turned on him.
I was at that Halloween party. It had a pretty bad turnout. Manila was certainly there hosting. Was right before her return to allstars aired I believe. And then todrick did a rendition of standout from goofy movie. And then that was it. They had another girl perform after him but can’t remember her name. Rumor has it they had a performer g out back stage. It wasn’t on Halloween it was like a few days before.
Was also there and only because todricks team reached out to me and gave me free tickets. It was empty af, definitely lost thousands on that night, so I guess he said f it, I ain’t getting paid so neither is anyone else
he actually came to a club in my town a couple weeks ago and i didn’t know any of this and wanted to go but tickets were like over 100$ and i’ve seen 5 rugirls for free now soooo i said no thabks who tf does he think he is lol. now i understand

To add up he accused a former friend of the stealing, and in the mansion tour he also kept linking his wardrobe because he kept saying he needed help to pay like selling as much possible of his old stuff to "buy" the house. I was so shocked at the latter it was the end of following him for me. But there are so many shady things over the years and when we add them together it's a LOT

Texas can be really mean to anybody that is not Christian, not white, not straight, or any mixture of the above so even today no longer being a fan or supporter of his I still don't doubt that he was indeed probably bullied a lot as a child. I don’t even think it’s just about how famous he got because he was doing this way back on his TH-cam days before he got big to where he would have people help with his videos and then not pay them for it or give them credit.
Jamal Sims is easily the superior choreographer, so even outside of Todrick's behaviour I'm happy they've been using Jamal more and more (plus he's worked with Drag Race even longer than Todrick so 🤷🏻♀️).
I also liked the choreographer they used this year--I can't remember his name, I'm afraid. He was great at being supportive and meeting the queens where they are at on their...dance journey, shall we say.

The thing about Big Brother is contestants are being filmed 24/7. Big Brother shows people's true colors. That was a perfect show for him to go on and just let him naturally expose himself.

It’s why unions like SAG exists - to ensure base pay/treatment etc. Never, ever do free work (unless you absolutely want to/it’s for a good cause).
The problem with that story is most of those performers were promised pay, but didn’t receive it. I think that’s why it’s such a problematic incident, ya know?

I can’t say I’m sad about this - I met him briefly back in 2017 at Drag Con in NY and it was so disappointing, he was just so unfriendly and cold, I haven’t been a fan since.
He was notoriously known for not paying his dancers since way before 2019 if you knew of him back then you would know. I remembered watching his video of him living in an unfurnished apartment, struggling to find funding for his video or whatever. He was there at the bottom as a struggling performer like the majority of people in LA as well but when he was able to climb up the social and fame ladder he ditched and cheated all of those dancer friends. He is horrible.

IMO, people blow this way out of proportion. He's asked for volunteers, for some of his videos, yeah. Of course he wouldn't pay volunteers. If you go in understanding that you're in a volunteer position, you shouldn't expect to get paid.
He probably should be paying people at least a $50/day, for any kind of massive shoot, since he's a bigger name, now. But if he asks for volunteers, I don't think anyone can really fault him for it, personally. Don't want to volunteer? Don't.

Todrick Hall, a number of years ago, did an event here in Las Vegas. My friends worked the event, and were never paid so therefore also not reimbursed for things such as lights, rigging, backup dancers, etc. Essentially they were told they were lucky to have even worked with him. They lost quite a bit of money over it while Todrick walked off with all the funds.
This is what happens when one feels entitled after "15 minutes of fame."

I never knew him super well, as we were in different shows his last year there, but all the people who were there longer than me did. He came back to. Visit after his time on American Idol and my friends in my show went to talk with him afterwards. I went with them because we were going to take our break and get food after their conversation. I was politely waiting for them to finish talked and he stops in the middle of their conversation and was like, “I’m sorry, but who are you?” So rudely. That’s his character and it will never change. My husband was also a supervisor at Six Flags and couldn’t stand his bs. He always had bs at the park. It amazes me how many of the people forgot about it because he became famous. And that is his personal Facebook page.

I used to watch him before drag race and while it wasn’t mentioned here this is not new behavior he scammed two male creators that I believe were directors to one of his much older TH-cam videos so he’s been doing this long before he got big they made a video about it but it was probably almost a decade ago now.
there's allegations he hired his, at the time, boyfriend to be a back up dancer on one episode of rpdr. his bf is British, and apparently did not have the correct visa to work in the US.
todrick had wow pay his assistant, a US citizen instead and got the assistant to pass the funds along to the dancer bf. since splitting up, the now ex-bf, spoke up during an earlier round of the todrick is over party, exposing this detail, and how todrick allegedly defrauded wow and rupaul for hiring the Brit.
the ex then went on to say the reason they separated was because he found out todrick was cheating on him. five years ago, todrick was still very adamant that he was waiting for marriage and presented himself as a "wholesome" character. apparently we all mistook him for using a w in holesome.

Some folks make the mistake of believing their own hype. I’ve been a working artist for close to 30 years and have seen it happen over and over again. These are also usually the same people who tend to disappear when it’s time to get paid or try to get you to work for “exposure”.
When there are THAT many rumors about not paying people and not paying your rent and stuff, they're usually true. If it were just one or maybe even two rumors then that's a little different. But there are just so many with him!
I just wanna say something on the topic of Todrick. As a dancer of 10 years I absolutely hate the way he talks to queens on the show. A professional dance teacher would never talk to students that way. He always taunts them about not knowing the choreo after a couple minutes.. like dude give them a chance to learn it first. You’re not gonna learn a dance that fast especially with non-dancers 😒 even I still have a hard time picking up choreo when first learning it, you don’t get it perfect the first few times, it’s about the practice afterwards.
I just hate how he makes the queens feel bad or stressed out for not knowing the choreo the first time learning it.. it ticks me off. None of my dance teachers have ever done that to me or other students. They politely correct you, not insult or taunt you. Maybe it’s just for TV, idk, but I hate it and find it frustrating to watch. I personally think it’s just another thing that reveals his real attitude.

He just does such bizarre things, for instance, he was pretending he bought a house that he was actually renting, and he was renting all the furniture, and is now being sued by the actual homeowner for back rent. He could have actually bought a house for the amount of money he spent, if he'd just live within his means instead of pretending to be more wealthy than he actually is. Imagine making as much money as he has, and really having nothing to show for it. And his big brother comments just prove how self-absorbed (self-obsessed) and lacking empathy he is.

I once went to a private event where he was paid to give people advice on how to start their own youtube channels and how to make it successful. His advice was less than subpar. The one good thing that came out of the event was that he complimented me on my eyes, which honestly shouldn't be a highlight for a talk on how to build a youtube empire...

As someone who is friends with Todrick's best friend, I can confidently say that while this is true Todrick is also a kind-hearted person who cares very much about the people he is close to. It is sad that fame can go to people's heads in the way that it does.

I liked him but always felt that there was something off and could never figure out what it was. My suspicions were correct and I hate that I liked him

As someone who only very recently heard his music and loved it, this really sucks
I wasn’t aware of who Todrick was until Big Brother 24. He, as a fellow super fan, welcomed the BB24 cast, particularly The Cookout, to his home post show. He was featured in the cast and other bb alumni
post show videos/TikToks. So when it was announced a fellow superfan was going to be on BB celeb special season, the fandom was thrilled. He was number 1 pick for many drafts. But quickly took a turn with his unnecessary actions in the house. He called it gameplay, when it wasn’t. It was maliciousness and the fandom quickly turned on him.
I was at that Halloween party. It had a pretty bad turnout. Manila was certainly there hosting. Was right before her return to allstars aired I believe. And then todrick did a rendition of standout from goofy movie. And then that was it. They had another girl perform after him but can’t remember her name. Rumor has it they had a performer g out back stage. It wasn’t on Halloween it was like a few days before.
Was also there and only because todricks team reached out to me and gave me free tickets. It was empty af, definitely lost thousands on that night, so I guess he said f it, I ain’t getting paid so neither is anyone else
he actually came to a club in my town a couple weeks ago and i didn’t know any of this and wanted to go but tickets were like over 100$ and i’ve seen 5 rugirls for free now soooo i said no thabks who tf does he think he is lol. now i understand

A talented guy like Todrick need not claw and shove his way to the top...and remember, the person you push and shove on your way up the ladder may be the one who can save you and your career as you're being forced out of the stage door.
To add up he accused a former friend of the stealing, and in the mansion tour he also kept linking his wardrobe because he kept saying he needed help to pay like selling as much possible of his old stuff to "buy" the house. I was so shocked at the latter it was the end of following him for me.
But there are so many shady things over the years and when we add them together it's a LOT
It seems like the only show he’s been 100% civil on was The Masked Singer. He was doing that around the same time he was doing BB. And I was rooting for him on MS, too. What happened to him these last couple years?
I was so excited to see Todrick and Carson on BB together. Todrick killed it and I pulled for everyone except him. Gotta say, my life has not been affected since his disappearance.

I lived on the Gulf Coast of Texas for a while and I have relatives near where he came from and Texas. Texas can be really mean to anybody that is not Christian, not white, not straight, or any mixture of the above so even today no longer being a fan or supporter of his I still don't doubt that he was indeed probably bullied a lot as a child. However that's probably the only honest thing that's come out of his mouth lately.
All of the drama aside, I just felt enraged that in the time of covid, when so many of us had been laid off and were struggling, he had the audacity to ask for gifts for his expensive new house

After this, I see him in a different light. I really liked him on Drag Race, he seemed nice, was very encouraging of the contestants, and his critics were professional, so seeing this eye opening.

Since last yr, RPDR drama has been content purposefully unfollowed to have time for other content. If you are doing more regular content on entitled douchebaggery I will subscribe because the delivery, style substance and pacing was all really pleasing and well done with consideration also to basic ethics and decency.

This really upsets me because i use to live dwn for todrick bck in the day on youtube and i was so happy when his status was solidified when he ended up as a guest judge on drag race and i see it has went dwn hill form there
