I love Shangela and yes her makeup was VERY rough when she first appeared on RPDR. She of course has grown and looks awesome now. I am thankful Billy and Shandy had a reflection moment and session together. 😊
She had only been doing drag for a few months, when she was cast. People don't really seem to "get" it, but makeup is a skill that requires practice, just like anything else; drag makeup, even more so.
I hope that when Michelle (if she ever does) depart from the show it doesn't leave as much of a fallout. She seems like a genuinely good person and her judging, though in some instances a little harsh she has always made efforts to remain involved positively in a lot of queen's lives after drag race.
I've heard from a lot of Drag Queens who have been on the show say that RuPaul isn't at what she seems like on the show, and that she is indeed quite weird herself and doesn't follow her own mantras about love and compassion. Most contestants have at least at one point, had an issue with RuPaul himself. Pearl is a great example of this, but so is Willam.

Raven didn't come in for two years after Matthu left, Delta did Ru's makeup & all the wigs looked like helmets & so Raven was brought in. Matthu was absolutly stunning with his paint brushes. A true artist, as is Raven.

Fashion and outfit construction was more focused on in the earlier seasons? Really? The earlier seasons of "Drag Race" didn't have the massive design-and-create-3-themed-costume "balls" they now require and competing on the show in general has become much more exclusive in regards to not only the show's difficulty with design challenges, but also in the insane amounts of money the contestants now seemingly have to spend to fulfill the checklist the producers provide for each season's challenges. A simple comparison of the number of episodes the last few seasons have had compared to the earlier ones is enough evidence of that. Unless they're made in the Werkroom or provided by the production, each episode requires at least one custom runway costume - and there were even seven episodes without an elimination in Season 14.
The fact that season 3 exists kinda contradict your statement. S3 is one of the longest running earlier season that frustrates even the queens competing. It was so design heavy with two balls and back-to-back design and sewing challenges, even from episode 1.

Mr. Santino, I have a father with a compromised Immune System and if he were to get Covid, there only be a 10% chance of him living. We want people to get Vaccinated for people like my dad and for those who work in the Health industry, because they right now are getting overworked. One of my cousins is a RN (registered nurse) and she has posted pictures of herself looking exhausted! So Mr. Santino, if you want to put your own health at risk, fine, but you're also putting other lives at risk! Could you honestly live with yourself if someone you loved died because of you? Not everyone has a strong immune system nor is able to 'boost it' naturally. I use to have so much respect for you, sadly, I can't do that anymore. I wish you the best in life and pray you don't get this disease.

Honestly, I feel like with the expectations on the outfits in recent seasons santinos fashion experience would make a lot of sense again. It’d make sense to see him maybe guest judge on a ball or something….I mean not if he’s a not a great person though.

I also believe there is a reason why he cares about immune system and foods. I think it is directly related to his own health.
Fashion and outfit construction was more focused on in the earlier seasons? Really? The earlier seasons of "Drag Race" didn't have the massive design-and-create-3-themed-costume "balls" they now require and competing on the show in general has become much more exclusive in regards to not only the show's difficulty with design challenges, but also in the insane amounts of money the contestants now seemingly have to spend to fulfill the checklist the producers provide for each season's challenges. A simple comparison of the number of episodes the last few seasons have had compared to the earlier ones is enough evidence of that. Unless they're made in the Werkroom or provided by the production, each episode requires at least one custom runway costume - and there were even seven episodes without an elimination in Season 14.
The fact that season 3 exists kinda contradict your statement. S3 is one of the longest running earlier season that frustrates even the queens competing. It was so design heavy with two balls and back-to-back design and sewing challenges, even from episode 1.
