Using M1 air for about 3 years now and it is still a beast of a laptop. The built quality stood up against the rough usage. Will use it for a few years more. Its good for school and office use. Not for gaming 😢 also good for video editing but you have to carry an external ssd and dongles 🙃

Just a note -: if you are a music producer and you are on low budget then by m1 but if you can spend some little more then buy m3, and don't buy M2 its a waste of money reason there is no major cpu difference between m1 and M2, but a good core cpu performance leape in m3
I just bought the M3 256 gb 8 gb ram MacBook Air just to start on my PhD program I’m not a gamer or anything I just needed a labtop to do my schoolwork and watch Netflix on so for me it’s sufficient enough. But I agree with the majority of TH-camrs, m2 is a good buy but if you have money just buy m3 I notice that I can watch more movies and do homework without any lag compared to the m2

Kindly allow me to add that while these are definitely wonderful laptops to start with and usually quite reliable, maintenance in the long run is also an important factor for a purchase decision. Search for battery replacement for these machines and you will know what I mean. M2 is a strict no, I would never buy owing to battery replacement complications. Batteries in MacBooks are no longer user replaceable. Cost of out of warranty battery replacement can be up to 50% of the cost of the machine. Since I am not rich, I would think very hard before spending my money on any of these.

M3 mai ek feature hai jo M1 and M2 mai nhe milta and that is "Noise Cancellation" feature, good if you do video calls and online video call meetings on laptop.
I'm using MacBook Air m1 purchased at a price of 1,35,000NRS and there are lot's of drawbacks of MacBook as well. I suggest not to hurry if you are purchasing for the first time.
What are the drawbacks ?
There are many problems with MacBooks that TH-cam channels don't talk about. The MacBook is not good for gaming or video editing. Most reviews only mention its battery life and how it doesn't overheat. But when you need to buy a new MacBook charger for 18,000, you'll see how expensive it is. Also, you have to buy software that is free on other computers. My Mac doesn’t support Adobe Animate or other programs, so I have to use DaVinci Resolve because it can't run Adobe Premiere Pro.
Here are some key problems:
High Replacement Costs: Replacement parts, like chargers, are very expensive (for example, a charger costing 18,000).
Software Compatibility Issues: Some popular software, like Adobe Animate and Adobe Premiere Pro, do not work, so you need to find other programs.
Lack of Upgradability: You cannot upgrade the RAM or storage after you buy it, which means you can't improve its performance later.
Keyboard Problems: Some models have a keyboard that often breaks, causing keys to stick or stop working.
Limited Ports: Many models only have USB-C ports, so you need extra adapters for other devices.
External Hardware Compatibility: Some external accessories do not work well without special drivers or software.
High Initial Cost: MacBooks are more expensive than many Windows laptops with similar or better performance.
Ecosystem Lock-in: It is hard to switch to other platforms because Apple devices work best with each other.
Gaming Limitations: MacBooks are not good for gaming and do not support many popular games.
Video Editing Limitations: MacBooks are not the best for video editing due to software compatibility and performance issues.

Don’t buy an air until m4. Leaked m4 geekbench from a fanless ipad is surprisingly good. M4 is very close to m3 pro and x elite. And usually apple on cinebench r23 runs about the same multicore score as geekbench so around 15k.
But actually even m1 air is still excellent. If not 15 inch m2 air also still good. 15 inch is slightly faster than 13 inch.
Meaning to say the m4 air might be as fast as x elite or 185h or 8945hs for not too long a task.
And that 3800 geekbench single core will make everything feel even snappier than m3

@@Sheil400 you’re right. For now I would get a refurbished m2pro, also about as fast as m3pro with all the great super bright high refresh screen at more or less 15” m3 air 16gb ram price.
For windows laptop I would get an older 7840u laptop great price almost as fast as m3 at very low price, if battery is important X plus. Or again wait for lunar lake.
I would get gold if that’s an option. Surface 7 has gold, quite pretty.

In today’s economy, it’s really hard to argue against the Walmart $699 M1 MacBook Air! It’s a heck of a lot of laptop for not a ton of money! Honestly, it might be the best value laptop of all time.

I wanted you advise regarding buying a new macbook.
My requirements are
1. going to use it in mba b-school mostly excel,ppt,word,multitasking 2. maybe sometimes learning to edit videos and photo
3. I really liked the 15 inch display but sadly it isn't available in M2 model. 4. should get the 16gb ram even as a regular user just to future proof it? Budget is flexible, I would like the laptop to last ideally 5+ years and should be value for money
My options are
1. Macbook air M2 13 inch 16/256 @1.2 lakhs[It seems to be the most logical option as there isn't much difference between m2 and m3]
2. base model MacBook air m3 @1.2 lakhs 3. Macbook Air M3 15inch 16/256 @1.5 lakhs[but my heart says go for the 15inch Screen
PS. already bought a 2TB samsung T7 so storage isn't an issue.

Decided to finally get my first Apple Silicon Mac, ended up with the 10-Core GPU M2 with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD because it was on special. Since the launch of the M4 iPad Pro, I was less enthusiastic about an M3 Mac at this point.

Namaste, this is Suman. I bought a MacBook M1 Air just a couple of months ago. In your video, you mentioned that it runs smoothly, but in my case, it heats up more than I expected when I run Docker, VSCode, and Brave browser simultaneously. You didn't mention these specific applications.
How much heating is normal? In my case, the heating is a bit higher. Sometimes, even when I don't use Docker, it still heats up. I use it continuously for around 5 to 6 hours daily. Please respond!

@@NaveenKumar-xu8eb I'm not facing any issues at all. The display is absolutely amazing. I usually use it for 4-5 hours a day, and sometimes even more, depending on what task I have.
Have you tried editing on that? If so, how does it perform?
@@jenish2727 I’ve tried Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Both of them work well. My old Intel Mac used to get hot while rending, but the Apple Silicon Macs don’t get too hot. However, the Pro models are quite heavy and thick. The new Air is not just cheap but also lightweight. I've tested both the new Air and Pro with an M2 chip, and the performance was similar, with minor differences.
