y'know whats crazy? lately, genshin's community has been more chill than wuwa's, i don't even know how, it's been UNBERABLE, it kills my will to play the game, and i liked it, somewhat, i got to union level 61 and certain aspects of the game are really good after properly trying both, wuwa is not even that much better than genshin, matter of fact i think genshin's better (but i mean its obvious that game has 4 years of content), i think the problems with wuwa's community right now is the toxic positivity that resembles what genshin had at the beginning, and the incapability of accepting criticism towards the game. with this i mean, if you say "oh genshin sucks" to a genshin fan, its very likely that they'll agree and go like "fr this game is so ass", I WOULD SAY IT, i've done it lol, if you say that "wuwa sucks" to a wuwa fan? not only they're going to go full on of why wuwa is a masterpiece, but also they're gonna mention genshin, EVEN when you weren't talking about genshin, and it gets tiring even if you're not a genshin fan, its younger brother behavior, that needs to stop, its just stupid, but again this is subjective, wuwa has some aspects that are indeed better than genshin, like you said the gacha aspect of the game is superior, some players would value that more, me for example i don't care, i play the game for the game, not for rewards, thats why i'm about to quit star rail, its more "generous" than genshin but its so repetitive and the story is so boring. also, good luck with your channel! all the best, the quality of the stuff you upload is very good 🙏🙏
@@NFYT to begin with, you're comparing a very old and mature(community-wise), to a very VERY new community. and genshin community also shit dumped on wuthering waves before it got even released, which would be what i think is one of the reasons the new community WILL be feasty and protective of their new favorite game(same as genshin community being protective of their game). The problem i see is that the genshin community has been SO DAMN TRAINED by hoyoverse to be in a toxic relationship and that they SHOULD be okay with that. Compensations, Anniversaries, Rewards, Balances have ALWAYS been fought for by the community from the start but hoyoverse dont give a FUCK, until a genuine outrage is out(Zhongli situation for one). Now the genshin community is VERY TOLERANT even if hoyoverse give dried bread crumbs and they'll be very happy("better than nothing" mentality). Its a very toxic relationship and genshin community is projecting that A LOT on to other gacha games that "do better" than hoyoverse ever did for YEARS(not just wuwa). I've played genshin since the damn beta(before fontaine release) and have sentimental attachment to the game, but playing and being with the community just feels toxic, so i forced myself to stop. Now fast forward to Wuwa, the game feels like a damn reward after all the gacha games I've played(not just genshin). It is a very, very refreshing experience to feel heard playing that game. I don't play it just as much since I distance myself from gacha games now, but Wuwa deserves the praise it get. And here's the thing, genshin has no excuse to be the way it is. There other games are getting a heavens difference of treatment, why should genshin be treated any different. Yep, I'm a day 1 Genshin player and I moved to Wuthering waves. I still play other games, but I invest more time on WuWa now. Kurogames offered better QoL and better gacha rates (I can't believe how generous this game is)
If one of the factors that made you quit Wuthering Waves is the community, you already lost the battle from the start. I, as a player who played all of Hoyo and Kuro entries (PGR, WUWA, ZZZ, GI, HI3, HSR) don't even care about their communities except for character highlights. Most gaming communities have this level of toxicity, especially the most famous ones like in MOBA genre. Having to care what people say about what to play is what I really hate coz why gatekeep people when they can do whatever they want. It's like me that if I cared about the hate r/Gachagaming had with games of Kuro, I wouldn't play PGR coz I got swayed by them. That's all.
Yeah, I understand that I shouldn’t care about what people say, but the problem is that I’m a content creator and those people make almost all of the comment section and I just don’t want that toxicity to be apart of my community. I would completely agree with everything you said if I didn’t make content on the game, it’s just kinda hard to make videos when every comment is just gonna be more hate, so I rather just move away from it because I don’t want any drama, I just like making videos about games, I don’t solely play genshin or wuwa. General haters go back and forth between communities saying they are part of one and then the other and if you fall for that then NOW it would be your lost. You make a video and you get a couple of people whose only argument is diminishing remarks about you for not liking what they like? You just wait a bit more for comments of actual real people 😂 (of course, as a CC you do try to answer them if possible, but never actually thinking they are serious about what they say.) This apply to both GI and WuWa, it's just that since GI has more years building their player base, you get a lot more sub communities forming around the game, meaning that you have more chances to touch a landmine and trigger people's fragile egos than you would in WuWa but I firmly believe that GI core community is as good and wholesome as any other core community of a gacha game, just people playing the game.

I’ve only played the very beginning of Genshin and It was pretty clean, the only weird thing was probably Lisa, but that was a pretty short story, I haven’t really gotten far in the story I’m still in the part when u first meet Xiao (yeah ik it’s pretty far behind 😅) usually just explore the world and do some shenanigans
@@diamondfire21 dw, I was really far behind in Genshin and I started on the 1.0 But I never learned how to level up easily and stuff until Sumeru got released and I turbo speed until Inazuma. Then I stopped. Then Natlan was about to start and I turbo speedran one Filler Area and Sumeru. (Fontaine got behind)

First, even by not mentioning the genshin community directly, you are still implying by omission if you are talking bad about one but not the other, in a comparison video. Second, the reason you might see haters from the wuwa community is because of majority takes that they disagree with. As someone who started both Genshin and WuWa at the same time on the PS5, I have to tell you I totally get why the WuWa fanbase is so protective over their favorite game. As someone who joined their social media groups at the same time, I lost count of the number of times I see Genshin players/bots harassing and trying to start drama inside the WuWa groups and it’s only a matter of time before the WuWa community fought back. That kind of toxicity coupled with my general dislike of how Genshin is developing just made me drop the game completely and focus entirely now on WuWa.

genshin has a fuck ton more players and it shows in those cases. I agree that both have toxic people. Toxic in this case being : player of a game who will go on spme content of the "competitor" just to shit on it. I remember when Wuwa was about to release, many OFFICIAL trailers wer eliterraly removed from r/gachagaming because of haters downvoting it on masse so the automod was removing the post. I rarely saw shit like this for other games. This game is a hate magnet for the Hoyoshills(not the casual players, they dont even care about this and all the power to them, they do the right thing). But Kuroshills also exist unfortunately. So yeah, both are toxic but its very easy to not give a shit to tghem. It's not like in a MOBA or some pvp team game where you HAVE to interact with the playerbase to get things done.

@@diamondfire21there's a mistake , there's no fanservice. if you are talking about the love for MC then it's not a fanservice. some of the love for MC are not love , it's the developing the "emotions" that the character lacked because that character is not a human. this is about shorekeeper. about camellya , if you have played her story quest you'll know that she and the rover were pretty close back in the day, and that she was overclocked. everyone will say it's fanservice or too much MC harem if they don't understand the story/lore or completely skip the story.

I guess I never really understood what fan service is because I felt WuWa has had very little. I mean the only fan service I can think of is the fire girl’s outfit from 1.1 but she was also supposed to be a mystery mother figure so there is weight behind certain design features

Best way to enjoy yhe game is not interacting with its community, unless you want some gameplay tips from hardcore players. From all gachas I've played, Hoyo dudes and WuWa are the worst by far.

Welp, toxic community is everywhere. I know wuwa have some toxic part on the community itself. Tbh, I am one of them before. That's just because I love genshin too much maybe. Nowdays, when I don't really care about genshin and just focus playing wuwa, I'm pretty much chill. And I also see a ton of shits thrown to wuwa from genshin community itself (since I can say myself kinda hardcore player on genshin and kinda active looking on hoyolab posts and stuff) So yeah, the toxic part of wuwa kinda triggered by how much people shitting on wuwa even before launch, and then on launch, wuwa got a rough start and people keep shitting on it, it's like an attempt to "kill the competitor", now when wuwa have stable enough, they say things like "revenue is small, game is dying" and stuff
As a Wuwa player, I'm sorry for how some acted to ya. heres a small tip. Dont listen to the community or whatever goes on in it cuz it would just not make the game enjoyable anymore. It was the same reason why I left genshin along with other stuff. At this point just play what you enjoy playing! If you want you should try PGR since its made by the same people that made Wuwa, its pretty fun and have some challages too. Plus not to mention it's server is going to be catch up with CN server (which is a year ahead) and we going to have a new patch on the Dec 4th.

When I switched to WuWa and just talked on forums or social networks about my impressions and playing WoWU, I kept encountering Toxic opinions about the game. In the sense that the game is "shit", or that Genshin is better than WuWa, or that few people play the game and Gacha will die. And this was for no reason at all. I still see such opinions and trolls often write about this, but I just try not to take this opinion into account. I do not speak negatively about the game or criticize it in any other way. If I am asked, I just say that "I do not like Genshin. This is my opinion." Secondly. Regarding fanservice, I still think it's subjective. But yes, there are some problems. In fact, I like fanservice in WuWa, but I understand people who may not like it. That's why Kuro Games usually doesn't release it very often. On the other hand, let's look at Genshin and... it's strange to talk about fanservice when in the new region there are a lot of fanservice characters, which I would even call... excessive, that they lack logic. Thankfully the interactions ive had with people who play wuwa have been pretty pleasant. Mostly just talking about how cool fanart is in the official discord. But id say the toxcitiy of the gacha community as a whole ramped up majorly in 2024. No one can simply enjoy a game online these days. Every other game has to be trash in comparison
Fanservice in a gacha game is par for the course, its normal considering the majority market are male, heck even the fanservice games for women sell really well i.e love and deepspace. If you truly are unable to stand fanservice i think its perfectly fine to quit the game over complaining on and on about fanservice being in the game. Trust me, i've played gachas with way more fanservice than wuwa, wuwa is mild by gacha standards.
I am a very casual player I Play the events wish on the banners and not much. I play genshin and wuwa. Both have their nice and bad like any game does. I haven't spend any money on either and am actually enjoying the competition. Wuwa 2.0 bringing in flight could mean Genshin to explore more options (Eg Flight in Natlan). As for personal experience goes. Communities only affect you if you are interested in the drama as a Player I am fine. Wuwa is fast, counters better QoL, Better Stamina use and Most amazing for me is the actions. As for Genshin I like the vibrant colour, story, characters and the diversity(I mean it has content because 5.3 now). Many like anime style over darker realistic vibe. I never had problem. I am wishing Carlotta on Wuwa and Mauvika on Genshin. The comparisons are when both comes as equal. GI is old 5.3 coming now and times now are different. Wuwa is great no doubt and GI has its problems but common we say we are unbiased players and still make comparisons It is like who is better Ronaldo or Messi or What came first Chicken or Eggs. Neither are they both grow from one another and in time. So pick a game and enjoy what not to do is mention another game's name. Genshin is genshin and the problems are the concerns of Genshin's player not Wuwa's. and Vice versa. We can only improve our game speak for your game without mentioning the faults of other so we as player can get 2 great games we don't have to be like there should be only one game.

About the bear: (and other red creatures) firstly those are supposed to be busted, but have a variety of levels, so some are very easy, they also respawn at a longer time spam, probably a week and aways in same places, secondly they dont aways give legendaries, but they have a very high chance to give the highest rarity avaliable, you just cant get a legendary echo before data bank level 15, this is explicited in data bank menu, which also affects the chance to drop echo and the chances for better rarities, and lastly those monsters have increased resistance to damage by default, and have weakness to dodge counters and intro skills, those will do fixed damage. Also during a dodge counter you become invincible, so when you dodged like 3 or 4 times in a row without attacking you were losing good damage.

I rarely play Genshin anymore but I love both games. Genshin for its lore and Wuwa for its very dynamic combat system. I'm glad to see you guys still tried playing Wuwa. Oh well, everyone has their own preferences, what matters most is that we enjoy playing these games.
The community part is completely understandable. It happens in every game but it feels like HSR, Genshin and Wuwa suffers from this the most. They take any criticsm as "bad" when it can be either constructive or subjective and is hella annoying. I also wanna add something that I've seen PERSONALLY. The fanservice on this game wasn't as bad as others, I've noticed that they might make more fanserviceable models and clothes but the personality of each character felt different, unqiue and not so "fanservice". An example, Camellya. Sure, she was a yandere and sure she is a bit uncomfortable to see in screen, but her backstory and her story made me see her differently

Oh yeah i just wanted to say there is another Open World game that people keep anticipating more than Wuthering Waves right now. It's Arknights Endfield, gameplay wise, you can teaming up with other character in your team & they will appear as your gang, it similar to Final Fantasy 15. And about their gacha system is basically weapon banner can only get weapon & same to Character banner. The chance to get character & weapon in Endfield will get increase. Normal pity is 80 & the biggest pity is 120 on every banner compare to Genshin that have 180 & Wuthering Waves that have 160 on limited banner.
Hey, have you heard of PGR? I know it's not for everyone since it's not an open world but if you want more fast paced combat like WuWa but not have to deal with the toxic community then I recommend checking PGR out made by also Kuro.
Considering how WuWa is just a few months old, I honestly didn't expect the size of their community to be big enough to faze Genshin's community. But it seems like WuWa is doing so well that it's becoming a threat it seems. The status quo has been broken, so conflicts like these are to be expected.

to be fair, wuwa 1.0 vs 1.4 is NOT the same game holyshit, 1.0 was bad for low/mid tier pc or in any type of phone, 1.4 is the real wuwa, 2.0 will be the real release of wuwa, so i dont blame anyone felt 1.0~1.1 was bad , but i definitely hope they give wuwa a second chance also the community part wuwa is kinda toxic but genshin community is TOXIC, basically they started the civil war first and act innocent after wuwa community fight back, so some may felt like wuwa is the toxic one, but actually it's not, they just fight back from what they get from. conclusion : both is toxic, but if you asked who started first? definitely genshin.
Oh it's a shame you won't continue playing WuWa. I personally started playing it like a month ago and I think is the only Gacha worth playing. From gameplay to exploring, even latest companion quests are worth reading. It's weird that you mention fan service since I am yet to seen it in the game at all? But community does get a bit heated when comparing it with Genshin since most players are Ex-Genshin players that realized it's not for them. Hope you give WuWa another shot after 2.0 releases!
The 2nd reason i agree with you as you can't change what you don't like but the first reason makes no sense man, as someone who has been a part of both communities, I'd say genshin community is 100 times more toxic towards wuwa and in general which makes sense cuz the genshin community is much bigger than wuwa community but still.. saying that wuwa community is toxic but not even mentioning genshin community sounds really wrong. Not to mention the biggest problem with Wuthering Waves before 1.3 is all because of Kuro was using Unreal Engine 4 which cause lot of problem back in the beginning of the game release (because before Wuthering Waves their previous game PGR is using Unity engine). But now after lot of drama & issue from Genshin & Hoyoverse and with everything Kuro games did to fixing their game, i can gladly say that Wuthering Waves is now doing better in just 6 months than Genshin ever did in 4 YEARS.

As a player of both and a new player on both as well (installed GI june 6th last yr and WuWa just last week) from my observation(this is all my opinion too), WuWa definitely is better than GI and will always be, simply because WuWa has a leverage since they developed the game later on than GI did, and why do I think WuWa has the upperhand bc of developing more later? Well they had time or the advantage to collect frequent complaints from fans of other gacha games or js other RPG games in general BUT, I genuinely think they took inspo from hoyo games- And as of now they are frequently taking feedback to improve their game, and they get their feedback from their players ofc and many of those players are hoyo players(hsr/gi) There are also some things I noticed, and since I only play genshin/and did play hsr(I quit it), I can only compare it to genshin and a bit to hsr (so yes I'm aware my knowledge is quite limited) - Character screen shares similarities to GI and hsr - Characters themselves don't really feel original(IMO), Chixia gives me too much xiangling vibes, and Verina like Nahida, also the upcoming characters like Phoebe(on design) reminds me of Serval + Bronya and a bit of jade (again js my observation/opinion) - and some more tbh To put it simply in MY opinion, WuWa is a better clone of GI, as WuWa has things that GI lacks in I love WuWa's combat, I love Genshin Impact's lore and its combat's simplicity and minigames especially the rhythm one
for us PGR players it's literally normal for us to get 5 star character so basically we already knew the game would give us night tier characters and btw yup the game literally give you higher tier character by just playing it lol
Since everyone has their say in the comments: I started playing wuwa a few days ago because of the game awards, and I just hope they calm down with the fan service thing, because it's the only thing that bothers me about the game. The rest is beautiful! It would also be nice if the community would stop comparing it to Genshin and appreciate it for what it is... But you can't have everything haha.

Just found this vid, all I can say is play the game, be it genshin or wuwa or others, if the community is toxic don’t join it but don’t let that stop u from enjoying the game. Only make sure u don’t burn yourself out from playing it. I hope u can come back to the game to play it for yourself
If at any point you’d like to try Wuthering Waves again, now would be a great time to do so. First, the issue with too much fan service; fixed - new characters are well designed and are still attractive without showing too much skin. Second, the community is too busy loving 2.0 and don’t even have time to think about genshin or other games (if I’m being honest, genshin are probably more hostile than wuwa fans but both fandoms definitely have some bas apples), lastly the game is insane now. I’m not even glazing at this point, it is objectively leaps and bounds ahead of 1.0-1.4. The story is good, the characters are great, the new region is gorgeous, the music is immaculate, and the quality of life updates are bonkers. Okay maybe I’m glazing a bit, but you have to experience it yourself to truly appreciate it. It’s almost like an entirely new game and the changes really make a difference. If you do decide to try it out again, you can be like; Returning to WuWa in 2.0 after Months of Not Playing (title pending) lol

As a genshin and wuwa player I have to admit that in a short period wuwa has release some incredible things! I stay with Genshin with Keching as my main DO YOU BELIEVE IT???😅 hahaha I have to love the character design and in Genshin even tho there a lot of characters I don’t quite like them and I recognize that in Wuwa I love almost every character design! I’m just saying this because not every player is looking for the same experience, I look for the design and the exploration experience, not for the communitys or multiplayer

I didnt even know there was beef, I kept running out of resin and had a lot of free time (SHUT UP IM NOT GETTING A JOB) so I decided to get wuwa and my brain got brained out with the amount of lore and quality this game has.
I had my genshin friend to play wuthering waves with me but in the end she didn't quite continue since she's solely focused on playing with genshin more lol, though she did say it was kind of good despite her being lvl 2
I played both, and, well Ghenshin has fanservice too; not talking about sexy characters but if you had played long enough Honaki impact 3rd you know what I mean. They reused most of their existing characters, changed names, lore and corrected their design. An example: Yae Sakura from Honkai Impact 3rd and Yae Miko; Himeko from HI3rd and Mavuika and list goes on almost for every character 😅
If you don't like Fan service then stop playing gachas my boy... because fan service will always be there in a subtle or direct way, I personally don't care as long as I like the game. Here's a strong advice for you: Play whatever you want, you are a content creator, not a slave at the disposal of whiny childrens. At the end of the day you will form a community that follows you for what you do and not what they tell you to do, you can take their suggestion to react ot try something, but that's it, Stop playing a game that you like because of the community it has, it doesn't make sense, don't become a slave and make content to please others. i have a Ryzen 7 5700X with a 12gb RX6700XT 32GB of 3200mhz ram, and the game installed on a NVME 1tb drive, at 1.0, this game was a pain on the ass to run, the stutters were terrible and the game felt like running fuckyng cyberpunk at lauch

Welp, I have 5600 with 3060 Ti with 16gb ram on 2666, using 1440p display, at launch hard to maintain 60fps, now, it can run 60 while running hsr on the background 😂
Something is wrong with ur graphics driver same thing happened with my 6600 but after driver update its better 60fps locked with ur setup u can unlock 120fps
yeah 1.0 was terrible but i dont think it l terrible like Cyberpunk77 at launch lol (i have PREORDER CP77 back then in 2020 so i know how it feel) from what i check is just update my geforce and fixed no lag issue in 1.0 Wuwa and now i can play 120 max setting since 1.3 with my 3080+5700x
@@ikennshidu5070 the funny thing is that changing the game from the Sata SSD to the NVME one made the game run way better for some reason. Like... for most games like hogwarts legacy for instance, it is great, but the game run just fine on the normal sata SSD, on wuwa it made a lot o difference.
tbf both genshin & wuwa has different combat experience in new/mid game compare to endgame. The comparison could only be done once players really understand how to do rotation at this game and its purpose.

In my opinion there’s a lot, and it’s mostly in the character designs, there’s a lot of revealing, erotic, and suggestive stuff in the game. Most of the time I’ve played I didn’t really encounter this as I tried to stay away from it, and when I eventually did through the main storyline i just skipped. It depends tho, many people have a different definition of what fanservice is, that’s why it may seem like there’s not a lot of it. Edit : I spelt in horrible grammar so I fixed it 😂

As you mention in you notes on the video toxicity and gatach comunities do go hand in hand, sadly. With WuWa it's a bit of a special case since it's the first real alternative in the open world action rpg + gatcha genre (tower of fantasy is more of an mmo so I see that as a related but different genre). So what you get are a lot of people with pent up frustration who could not voice it before cause their previous toxic comunity would have backlashed at them for speaking their mind. By now doing the backlashing themselves they might be able to finally vent that frustration but in doing so they are becoming what they hated. I feel ashamed for anyone behaving in such a way in any comunity. As a non content creator I look for the more chill and mature parts of the comunity if I interact with them at all but I understand why that is not an option for you. Also if WuWa is not your personal preference that is totally fine. Anyone who says not likeing something is worng should figure out what is wrong with themself first ;) My personal take is that it's important to point to any and all flaws. "The dev listen" as much as it is being praise isn't worth jack if we don't tell them what is broken. As a day 1 player I never had performance issues but I can say that performance was a huge issue and I was luck not to run into those issues. Voice acting in 1.0 had big issues, probably due to voice direction. There were/are issues with the resource systems, the story has gotten a lot better but it started out pretty rough with a metric ton of lore dumping and tell not show. And while it has gotten better there are still issues. 1.3 story was amazing but the resolution was deus ex machina level of "oh we found this thing in a storage room and now everything we built up until now is just resolved". I can point out the bad parts and love the game. In fact I can point out the bad parts because I love the game and want it to be the best it can be. If anyone doubts I like the game because I am also critical of it, I'm UL 79, have every limited 5* all but 4 characters at max accention, 100% cleared all the maps etc. I don't need to glaze and by not doing so it is a lot more authentic when I get passionate about the amazing visual update to water in 1.3, npcs getting voiced lines in 1.1 or how Chixia dodge counter is just the most fun in Illusive realm. I hope the immature toxic people don't diminish your passion for games and enjoy whatever you like playing the most.
I feel genuine WuWa fans are not toxic. All the Genshin haters from WuWa I’ve met are mostly all ex Genshin fans who were extremely disappointed by the game and its lack of devs love. I honestly play both, Genshin is for the story because I’ve been there from the start at 1.0 with all the glitches and bugs it also had on release, WuWa is for everything. As for fan service, I feel people are using that term extremely wrong nowadays or did it change and I’m too old to realize? It was usually referred for sexualize content which WuWa only has giggle physics. Although the definition still says it’s for sexualization towards a target audience, Camellya being a tsundere and being in love with Rover isn’t fan service imo. Some scenes with her could be considered a bit fan service cause she’s does try to pull you close to her a few times, but the game itself isn’t, it’s just one character and it’s not anything related to showing her body, like most gachas or animes, just romancing gestures. The game has many chars and things, just one justified psycho girl in love wouldn’t make it fan service.
This, I'm actually surprised people were overreacting with shorekeeper too bc of the way shorekeeper is so fond of rover in a reasonable way, it's like any sort of admiration is fan service nowadays...sure wuwa had some moments with actual fan service but the game offers so much more than that and ofc these ppl don't care abt that

Your previous video and this one proved how toxic wuwa community currently is. I feel like they both attracted much more wuwa shills then genshin shills. Optimization on the phone is strange tho. I can olay game on 8 or 16 rgb of ram. And sometimes 8 is better than 16 and 16 better than 8. Mainly in new zones, but on old one 8 is still better

y'know whats crazy? lately, genshin's community has been more chill than wuwa's, i don't even know how, it's been UNBERABLE, it kills my will to play the game, and i liked it, somewhat, i got to union level 61 and certain aspects of the game are really good
after properly trying both, wuwa is not even that much better than genshin, matter of fact i think genshin's better (but i mean its obvious that game has 4 years of content), i think the problems with wuwa's community right now is the toxic positivity that resembles what genshin had at the beginning, and the incapability of accepting criticism towards the game.

@@NFYT to begin with, you're comparing a very old and mature(community-wise), to a very VERY new community. and genshin community also shit dumped on wuthering waves before it got even released, which would be what i think is one of the reasons the new community WILL be feasty and protective of their new favorite game(same as genshin community being protective of their game).
The problem i see is that the genshin community has been SO DAMN TRAINED by hoyoverse to be in a toxic relationship and that they SHOULD be okay with that. Compensations, Anniversaries, Rewards, Balances have ALWAYS been fought for by the community from the start but hoyoverse dont give a FUCK, until a genuine outrage is out(Zhongli situation for one). Now the genshin community is VERY TOLERANT even if hoyoverse give dried bread crumbs and they'll be very happy("better than nothing" mentality). Its a very toxic relationship and genshin community is projecting that A LOT on to other gacha games that "do better" than hoyoverse ever did for YEARS(not just wuwa).
I've played genshin since the damn beta(before fontaine release) and have sentimental attachment to the game, but playing and being with the community just feels toxic, so i forced myself to stop. Now fast forward to Wuwa, the game feels like a damn reward after all the gacha games I've played(not just genshin). It is a very, very refreshing experience to feel heard playing that game. I don't play it just as much since I distance myself from gacha games now, but Wuwa deserves the praise it get. And here's the thing, genshin has no excuse to be the way it is. There other games are getting a heavens difference of treatment, why should genshin be treated any different.
That said, pointing to there or that community shouldn't be the way people see and compare things. The game itself and developer to player should be the reference on what the actual point. Bow

If one of the factors that made you quit Wuthering Waves is the community, you already lost the battle from the start. I, as a player who played all of Hoyo and Kuro entries (PGR, WUWA, ZZZ, GI, HI3, HSR) don't even care about their communities except for character highlights. Most gaming communities have this level of toxicity, especially the most famous ones like in MOBA genre. Having to care what people say about what to play is what I really hate coz why gatekeep people when they can do whatever they want.
It's like me that if I cared about the hate r/Gachagaming had with games of Kuro, I wouldn't play PGR coz I got swayed by them. That's all.

General haters go back and forth between communities saying they are part of one and then the other and if you fall for that then NOW it would be your lost.
You make a video and you get a couple of people whose only argument is diminishing remarks about you for not liking what they like? You just wait a bit more for comments of actual real people 😂 (of course, as a CC you do try to answer them if possible, but never actually thinking they are serious about what they say.)
This apply to both GI and WuWa, it's just that since GI has more years building their player base, you get a lot more sub communities forming around the game, meaning that you have more chances to touch a landmine and trigger people's fragile egos than you would in WuWa but I firmly believe that GI core community is as good and wholesome as any other core community of a gacha game, just people playing the game.

As someone who started both Genshin and WuWa at the same time on the PS5, I have to tell you I totally get why the WuWa fanbase is so protective over their favorite game. As someone who joined their social media groups at the same time, I lost count of the number of times I see Genshin players/bots harassing and trying to start drama inside the WuWa groups and it’s only a matter of time before the WuWa community fought back. That kind of toxicity coupled with my general dislike of how Genshin is developing just made me drop the game completely and focus entirely now on WuWa.

@@diamondfire21there's a mistake , there's no fanservice. if you are talking about the love for MC then it's not a fanservice. some of the love for MC are not love , it's the developing the "emotions" that the character lacked because that character is not a human. this is about shorekeeper. about camellya , if you have played her story quest you'll know that she and the rover were pretty close back in the day, and that she was overclocked.

Welp, toxic community is everywhere. I know wuwa have some toxic part on the community itself. Tbh, I am one of them before. That's just because I love genshin too much maybe.
Nowdays, when I don't really care about genshin and just focus playing wuwa, I'm pretty much chill.
And I also see a ton of shits thrown to wuwa from genshin community itself (since I can say myself kinda hardcore player on genshin and kinda active looking on hoyolab posts and stuff)
So yeah, the toxic part of wuwa kinda triggered by how much people shitting on wuwa even before launch, and then on launch, wuwa got a rough start and people keep shitting on it, it's like an attempt to "kill the competitor", now when wuwa have stable enough, they say things like "revenue is small, game is dying" and stuff
quitting a good game because of it's community is insane, and not to mention that he quit right before 2.0 xd

As a Wuwa player, I'm sorry for how some acted to ya. heres a small tip. Dont listen to the community or whatever goes on in it cuz it would just not make the game enjoyable anymore. It was the same reason why I left genshin along with other stuff. At this point just play what you enjoy playing! If you want you should try PGR since its made by the same people that made Wuwa, its pretty fun and have some challages too. Plus not to mention it's server is going to be catch up with CN server (which is a year ahead) and we going to have a new patch on the Dec 4th.

First of all. Any community can be toxic in one way or another. The same Genshin community, for example. When I switched to WuWa and just talked on forums or social networks about my impressions and playing WoWU, I kept encountering Toxic opinions about the game. In the sense that the game is "shit", or that Genshin is better than WuWa, or that few people play the game and Gacha will die. And this was for no reason at all. I still see such opinions and trolls often write about this, but I just try not to take this opinion into account. I do not speak negatively about the game or criticize it in any other way. If I am asked, I just say that "I do not like Genshin. This is my opinion."
Secondly. Regarding fanservice, I still think it's subjective. But yes, there are some problems. In fact, I like fanservice in WuWa, but I understand people who may not like it. That's why Kuro Games usually doesn't release it very often. On the other hand, let's look at Genshin and... it's strange to talk about fanservice when in the new region there are a lot of fanservice characters, which I would even call... excessive, that they lack logic.

Fanservice in a gacha game is par for the course, its normal considering the majority market are male, heck even the fanservice games for women sell really well i.e love and deepspace. If you truly are unable to stand fanservice i think its perfectly fine to quit the game over complaining on and on about fanservice being in the game. Trust me, i've played gachas with way more fanservice than wuwa, wuwa is mild by gacha standards.

I am a very casual player I Play the events wish on the banners and not much. I play genshin and wuwa. Both have their nice and bad like any game does. I haven't spend any money on either and am actually enjoying the competition. Wuwa 2.0 bringing in flight could mean Genshin to explore more options (Eg Flight in Natlan). As for personal experience goes. Communities only affect you if you are interested in the drama as a Player I am fine. Wuwa is fast, counters better QoL, Better Stamina use and Most amazing for me is the actions. As for Genshin I like the vibrant colour, story, characters and the diversity(I mean it has content because 5.3 now). Many like anime style over darker realistic vibe. I never had problem. I am wishing Carlotta on Wuwa and Mauvika on Genshin. The comparisons are when both comes as equal. GI is old 5.3 coming now and times now are different. Wuwa is great no doubt and GI has its problems but common we say we are unbiased players and still make comparisons It is like who is better Ronaldo or Messi or What came first Chicken or Eggs. Neither are they both grow from one another and in time. So pick a game and enjoy what not to do is mention another game's name. Genshin is genshin and the problems are the concerns of Genshin's player not Wuwa's. and Vice versa. We can only improve our game speak for your game without mentioning the faults of other so we as player can get 2 great games we don't have to be like there should be only one game.

About the bear: (and other red creatures) firstly those are supposed to be busted, but have a variety of levels, so some are very easy, they also respawn at a longer time spam, probably a week and aways in same places, secondly they dont aways give legendaries, but they have a very high chance to give the highest rarity avaliable, you just cant get a legendary echo before data bank level 15, this is explicited in data bank menu, which also affects the chance to drop echo and the chances for better rarities, and lastly those monsters have increased resistance to damage by default, and have weakness to dodge counters and intro skills, those will do fixed damage. Also during a dodge counter you become invincible, so when you dodged like 3 or 4 times in a row without attacking you were losing good damage.

I rarely play Genshin anymore but I love both games. Genshin for its lore and Wuwa for its very dynamic combat system. I'm glad to see you guys still tried playing Wuwa. Oh well, everyone has their own preferences, what matters most is that we enjoy playing these games.
The community part is completely understandable. It happens in every game but it feels like HSR, Genshin and Wuwa suffers from this the most. They take any criticsm as "bad" when it can be either constructive or subjective and is hella annoying.
I also wanna add something that I've seen PERSONALLY. The fanservice on this game wasn't as bad as others, I've noticed that they might make more fanserviceable models and clothes but the personality of each character felt different, unqiue and not so "fanservice". An example, Camellya. Sure, she was a yandere and sure she is a bit uncomfortable to see in screen, but her backstory and her story made me see her differently

Oh yeah i just wanted to say there is another Open World game that people keep anticipating more than Wuthering Waves right now. It's Arknights Endfield, gameplay wise, you can teaming up with other character in your team & they will appear as your gang, it similar to Final Fantasy 15. And about their gacha system is basically weapon banner can only get weapon & same to Character banner. The chance to get character & weapon in Endfield will get increase. Normal pity is 80 & the biggest pity is 120 on every banner compare to Genshin that have 180 & Wuthering Waves that have 160 on limited banner.

Hey, have you heard of PGR? I know it's not for everyone since it's not an open world but if you want more fast paced combat like WuWa but not have to deal with the toxic community then I recommend checking PGR out made by also Kuro.
Considering how WuWa is just a few months old, I honestly didn't expect the size of their community to be big enough to faze Genshin's community.
But it seems like WuWa is doing so well that it's becoming a threat it seems. The status quo has been broken, so conflicts like these are to be expected.

Oh it's a shame you won't continue playing WuWa. I personally started playing it like a month ago and I think is the only Gacha worth playing. Not to mention the biggest problem with Wuthering Waves before 1.3 is all because of Kuro was using Unreal Engine 4 which cause lot of problem back in the beginning of the game release (because before Wuthering Waves their previous game PGR is using Unity engine). But now after lot of drama & issue from Genshin & Hoyoverse and with everything Kuro games did to fixing their game, i can gladly say that Wuthering Waves is now doing better in just 6 months than Genshin ever did in 4 YEARS.

As a player of both and a new player on both as well (installed GI june 6th last yr and WuWa just last week)
from my observation(this is all my opinion too), WuWa definitely is better than GI and will always be, simply because WuWa has a leverage since they developed the game later on than GI did, and why do I think WuWa has the upperhand bc of developing more later? Well they had time or the advantage to collect frequent complaints from fans of other gacha games or js other RPG games in general BUT, I genuinely think they took inspo from hoyo games- And as of now they are frequently taking feedback to improve their game, and they get their feedback from their players ofc and many of those players are hoyo players(hsr/gi)
There are also some things I noticed, and since I only play genshin/and did play hsr(I quit it), I can only compare it to genshin and a bit to hsr (so yes I'm aware my knowledge is quite limited)
- Character screen shares similarities to GI and hsr
- Characters themselves don't really feel original(IMO), Chixia gives me too much xiangling vibes, and Verina like Nahida, also the upcoming characters like Phoebe(on design) reminds me of Serval + Bronya and a bit of jade (again js my observation/opinion)

To put it simply in MY opinion, WuWa is a better clone of GI, as WuWa has things that GI lacks in
I love WuWa's combat, I love Genshin Impact's lore and its combat's simplicity and minigames especially the rhythm one
for us PGR players it's literally normal for us to get 5 star character so basically we already knew the game would give us night tier characters and btw yup the game literally give you higher tier character by just playing it lol

Just found this vid, all I can say is play the game, be it genshin or wuwa or others, if the community is toxic don’t join it but don’t let that stop u from enjoying the game. Only make sure u don’t burn yourself out from playing it. I hope u can come back to the game to play it for yourself

If at any point you’d like to try Wuthering Waves again, now would be a great time to do so. First, the issue with too much fan service; fixed - new characters are well designed and are still attractive without showing too much skin. Second, the community is too busy loving 2.0 and don’t even have time to think about genshin or other games (if I’m being honest, genshin are probably more hostile than wuwa fans but both fandoms definitely have some bas apples), lastly the game is insane now. I’m not even glazing at this point, it is objectively leaps and bounds ahead of 1.0-1.4. The story is good, the characters are great, the new region is gorgeous, the music is immaculate, and the quality of life updates are bonkers. Okay maybe I’m glazing a bit, but you have to experience it yourself to truly appreciate it. It’s almost like an entirely new game and the changes really make a difference. If you do decide to try it out again, you can be like; Returning to WuWa in 2.0 after Months of Not Playing (title pending) lol
I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with the WuWa fanbase interactions on your last video. Unfortunately, I feel there is this great divide between the two fanbases of WuWa and Genshin/Hoyo that is going to be hard to bridge, though it may just be gaming/gacha culture in general these days. As a genshin and wuwa player I have to admit that in a short period wuwa has release some incredible things! I stay with Genshin with Keching as my main DO YOU BELIEVE IT???😅 hahaha I have to love the character design and in Genshin even tho there a lot of characters I don’t quite like them and I recognize that in Wuwa I love almost every character design! I didnt even know there was beef, I kept running out of resin and had a lot of free time (SHUT UP IM NOT GETTING A JOB) so I decided to get wuwa and my brain got brained out with the amount of lore and quality this game has.
I had my genshin friend to play wuthering waves with me but in the end she didn't quite continue since she's solely focused on playing with genshin more lol, though she did say it was kind of good despite her being lvl 2

I played both, and, well Ghenshin has fanservice too; not talking about sexy characters but if you had played long enough Honaki impact 3rd you know what I mean. They reused most of their existing characters, changed names, lore and corrected their design. An example: Yae Sakura from Honkai Impact 3rd and Yae Miko; Himeko from HI3rd and Mavuika and list goes on almost for every character 😅
If you don't like Fan service then stop playing gachas my boy... because fan service will always be there in a subtle or direct way, I personally don't care as long as I like the game. Here's a strong advice for you: Play whatever you want, you are a content creator, not a slave at the disposal of whiny childrens. At the end of the day you will form a community that follows you for what you do and not what they tell you to do, you can take their suggestion to react ot try something, but that's it, Stop playing a game that you like because of the community it has, it doesn't make sense, don't become a slave and make content to please others. You can't and you shouldn't, be yourself and not what others expect you to be.
Yeah I’ve considered it, but it’s fine if it’s minimal and not pushed that much I can just ignore it, the gacha is the least part I enjoy, I mainly like the anime rpg and story that the games give.

The account came stock with only the characters you get from the beginning of the story, but you’re right it probably would’ve been a good idea to let him do the first few minutes on his own, then he would’ve been able to rate the combat better or maybe even the story.

Welp, I have 5600 with 3060 Ti with 16gb ram on 2666, using 1440p display, at launch hard to maintain 60fps, now, it can run 60 while running hsr on the background 😂
Something is wrong with ur graphics driver same thing happened with my 6600 but after driver update its better 60fps locked with ur setup u can unlock 120fps
yeah 1.0 was terrible but i dont think it l terrible like Cyberpunk77 at launch lol (i have PREORDER CP77 back then in 2020 so i know how it feel) from what i check is just update my geforce and fixed no lag issue in 1.0 Wuwa and now i can play 120 max setting since 1.3 with my 3080+5700x
@@ikennshidu5070 the funny thing is that changing the game from the Sata SSD to the NVME one made the game run way better for some reason. Like... for most games like hogwarts legacy for instance, it is great, but the game run just fine on the normal sata SSD, on wuwa it made a lot o difference.
tbf both genshin & wuwa has different combat experience in new/mid game compare to endgame. The comparison could only be done once players really understand how to do rotation at this game and its purpose.

In my opinion there’s a lot, and it’s mostly in the character designs, there’s a lot of revealing, erotic, and suggestive stuff in the game. Most of the time I’ve played I didn’t really encounter this as I tried to stay away from it, and when I eventually did through the main storyline i just skipped. It depends tho, many people have a different definition of what fanservice is, that’s why it may seem like there’s not a lot of it.

As you mention in you notes on the video toxicity and gatach comunities do go hand in hand, sadly. With WuWa it's a bit of a special case since it's the first real alternative in the open world action rpg + gatcha genre (tower of fantasy is more of an mmo so I see that as a related but different genre). So what you get are a lot of people with pent up frustration who could not voice it before cause their previous toxic comunity would have backlashed at them for speaking their mind. By now doing the backlashing themselves they might be able to finally vent that frustration but in doing so they are becoming what they hated. I feel ashamed for anyone behaving in such a way in any comunity. As a non content creator I look for the more chill and mature parts of the comunity if I interact with them at all but I understand why that is not an option for you.
Also if WuWa is not your personal preference that is totally fine. Anyone who says not likeing something is worng should figure out what is wrong with themself first ;)
My personal take is that it's important to point to any and all flaws. "The dev listen" as much as it is being praise isn't worth jack if we don't tell them what is broken. As a day 1 player I never had performance issues but I can say that performance was a huge issue and I was luck not to run into those issues. Voice acting in 1.0 had big issues, probably due to voice direction. There were/are issues with the resource systems, the story has gotten a lot better but it started out pretty rough with a metric ton of lore dumping and tell not show. And while it has gotten better there are still issues. 1.3 story was amazing but the resolution was deus ex machina level of "oh we found this thing in a storage room and now everything we built up until now is just resolved". I can point out the bad parts and love the game. In fact I can point out the bad parts because I love the game and want it to be the best it can be. If anyone doubts I like the game because I am also critical of it, I'm UL 79, have every limited 5* all but 4 characters at max accention, 100% cleared all the maps etc. I don't need to glaze and by not doing so it is a lot more authentic when I get passionate about the amazing visual update to water in 1.3, npcs getting voiced lines in 1.1 or how Chixia dodge counter is just the most fun in Illusive realm.
I hope the immature toxic people don't diminish your passion for games and enjoy whatever you like playing the most.
I feel genuine WuWa fans are not toxic. All the Genshin haters from WuWa I’ve met are mostly all ex Genshin fans who were extremely disappointed by the game and its lack of devs love. I honestly play both, Genshin is for the story because I’ve been there from the start at 1.0 with all the glitches and bugs it also had on release, WuWa is for everything.
As for fan service, I feel people are using that term extremely wrong nowadays or did it change and I’m too old to realize? It was usually referred for sexualize content which WuWa only has giggle physics. Although the definition still says it’s for sexualization towards a target audience, Camellya being a tsundere and being in love with Rover isn’t fan service imo. Some scenes with her could be considered a bit fan service cause she’s does try to pull you close to her a few times, but the game itself isn’t, it’s just one character and it’s not anything related to showing her body, like most gachas or animes, just romancing gestures. The game has many chars and things, just one justified psycho girl in love wouldn’t make it fan service.
This, I'm actually surprised people were overreacting with shorekeeper too bc of the way shorekeeper is so fond of rover in a reasonable way, it's like any sort of admiration is fan service nowadays...sure wuwa had some moments with actual fan service but the game offers so much more than that and ofc these ppl don't care abt that

Optimization on the phone is strange tho. I can olay game on 8 or 16 rgb of ram. And sometimes 8 is better than 16 and 16 better than 8. Mainly in new zones, but on old one 8 is still better
