(YES IT'S JUST THE PART 2)
ITS TIME, the game everyone talked up SO MUCH for the past few months is finally out, my final thoughts? I'll write them down here so you can read them! if I was going to voice them in the video it'd take TOO MUCH TIME and it mght contain some spoilers so i'll keep my HONEST wuthering waves review here
first of all wuwa sounds funny af +1 point
i think i'm reaching my limit as far as "anime mmo with plot about time/fate" goes, of course this is just the start but having played a couple now.. i'd hope something different were to happen, i think a big part of why it doesn't feel as good is because everyone was REALLY trying to sell this game and.. it builds way too much anticipation, it's not bad by any means but it's far from the grandiose masterpiece i was advertised
i really like the way the echoes work, sucking up the new powers and being able to use them mid-combat is (imo) by far the best feature the game has, the story i believe was never meant to be the strong point, the combat and movement is definitely the positives - i somehow.. have enough experience with voice acting now that i can tell this isn't as good as genshin's?
SPEAKING OF VOICE ACTING. i'm super stressed out but this weekend on stream, sunday at 7pm (france time) i'll be interviewing fischl's VA! unfortunately not many of my questions as I'm just hosting for different people but I'm looking forward to it, hoping it won't be a mess and maybe we'll be able to do it again in the future and I'll be able to ask you for questions you'd want to ask as well!
enough rambling, final rating: 6.5/10 - decent as a side game, has potential if they make lategame spicy (aka room for growth, I don't see it going lower than 6.5!)

The game is basically: You've been isekaied into this world, you can get more powers and can capture monsters like pokemons. You have no memory of who you are or how you came to that point when you met the red eyed divine girl at the start, you have no twin and both the good and evil people are fighting to persuade you to join their side, but you go with the good people.

Genshin honestly kinda deserves some of the hate though, it’s just people realizing how bad the management of Genshin is compared to other games. I’m tired of the comparisons too but it’s literally been due. The game has the ingredients to make a michelin star meal but they used the microwave.

I like it how in hsr and wuwa, there is no sign of the other mc. I mena that selecting a character is just about who you like and the other one never existed. Unlike in genshin where the other person has a whole entire story. But nothing wrong about that. I like that too

Yeah same here. I want to play the game myself but my potato PC wont let me sadly. After giving up I went to check out playthroughs and it was all "Genshin this" "Genshin that" "Genshin would never". I was hoping Rednas would check it out because other than him my only option was voiceless walkthroughs.

Same reason as to why it's gonna be Rednas and WuWa for me because I'm sick of people hating one game or another and hateful compare the two... I'm playing all three (Genshin, HSR and WuWa) and enjoying all of them a lot. WuWa is pretty laggy for me when it comes to camera, but whatever, I'm gonna be playing anyway, it's very pretty~

Looks like you didn't know about pgr, it's made by the same company that made wuwa and the combat in both is relatively similar but pgr is not open world.

@@cottonbubblerin her delivery is very bad. come to think of it, a lot of the english VA's need a second take at the very least, Taoqi sounds like she is reading the script fro the first time, Yanyang has that monotone voice (and i swear they spliced some of her dialogue because the name of the city always has the same intonation when she says it), Lingyang's voice randomly breaks at the end of sentences (when opening a treasure).

WuWa for me has been fun so far! I really enjoy the different combat mechanic, characters and overall it's been an enjoyable time. I don't understand people hating on either Genshin or WuWa. Are they similar? Yeah. But both are fun? For sure. Genshin right now for me (as someone who has everything 100%) is log on, daylies, events, resin, log off. So WuWa is keeping me busy while I wait for the next Genshin patch.
No need to compare and put down a game to enjoy the other, just play what you like and let others enjoy the new release 🤗

I agree lmao, the game was boring for me for the first 2 acts but when Scar showed up, the game got rlly fun to play

In German they seem to have had problems with the letters: ä, ö and ü. Because there are always gaps in front and after them. For example: Beh ä lter

From what I've seen, the combat and it's mechanics look really cool and interesting. I like how fluid it looks, plus I like the idea of absorbing enemies for stats and stuff. Not playing this game any time soon but I'd like to see you play more of it. Hope everyone who decided to download this game has a nice time :)
Just like Kuro's previous game, PGR, this game made me, the slice-of-life-r of gacha games (my favourite feature of Genshin is cooking and collecting ingredients), actually enjoy the battle. It's a lot of skill and you naturally acquire that as time goes by, since you're going to keep battling anyway.

Dude same. Not to mention Scar's EN voiceover is probably the best one in the game. Him showing up made me interested in the story and not want to skip it for once. The scene with YY and Scar is pretty funny though. It's like hearing an Ai meeting a real person.

I too started this game without knowing anything! Enjoying so far, it's always refreshing starting a new game, specially after playing the same one for a year or so! BUT I have to say I'm having problems with ping and bugs and it's kinda hard to explore that way, I hope they fix it soon cause I see a lot of potential on this one!! xoxo
As much as I like the idea of two free 5 star in next 2 patches, upgrade to the combat and motion of characters. New endgame with better boss mechanics and all, I don't want Genshin to shorten the story or make everything skippable like WuWv will do next patch. It will affect the writers and art designers of Genshin if they start focussing on combat only to counter WuWv. Yesterday I played WuWv for 2 hours but I didn't had the same excitement as I had for playing Genshin, not focusing on story and I like the movement of characters and smooth combat design of the game. Cutscenes and art is great as well but I think this is not anything different from Genshin. It will start to feel the same after playing for few months. So I will just give it a try for 2-3 months and see if I really want to play WuWv of give my attention to Genshin only.

One thing I really like about Yang Yang (imo anyway) is that she pronounces the names eg. Huanglong & Loong accurately. It's definitely not a requirement, but it was a very pleasant surprise.

It's a waifu open world stimulation with "special protagonist that is a part of a grand plan of majestic forces." Calm down and go play more games/read some books ao your taste is not so basic you are impressed by an overdone trope made to pander to 8yo edgelords that think fighting moraly gray gods makes a groundbreaking story

no offense but I personally will feel disappointed if I'm going in to act 5 and 6 with high expectation (for the wording 'will pay off big time'), esp because the freshest memory to compare the story to is hsr's or or genshin's main story (which isn't really fair since they have more time to developed their own style). but act 5 and 6 are definitely better than the first few!
it is true that hyv has spoiled us with the storytelling of both penacony and fontaine but as a new game, i think wuwa deserves an applause for the cinematic cutscenes and the way it succeeded to create heavy tension the whole act and make the build up believable even though there were still some moments that rubbed me off the wrong way. but all in all, maybe it is better to go in with little to no expectation like i did lmao

I'm really struggling to like this game not because of the story or characters but because it's so laggy and buggy. It literally crashed on me multiple times already and i'm so demotivated to log back in after that
The deliveries in this game seriously took me out of the story, they're like Genshin's early hangout quest level of boredom. The gameplay and graphics are super cool tho.

I'm so excited for the exploration of wuwa!!! I'm having so much fun with the exploration even though I have a high ping and it's a little crunchy.
WuWv just announced that they will make the major change to make all story content skipable. That just made me think that the people who follow story and like playing story content are really that few. I mean is everyone really crazy about defeating demons or combat for 90% of the time? Cause Rednas your content is not like that. It's the opposite.
Though I agree with the rest of changes WuWv will do like upgrading combat, making character motions in story mode and in open world little better and giving 1 free 5 star.

YOOO First it was zyox now its RednasYo lets gooo wuthering waves is finally getting some good recognition (would recommend playing it but not if ur laptop/pc is a potato like mine, but if its a potato pc just like mine just put on low graphics and your good)

Rover does have a increased parry range compared the rest in terms of how close the circle needs to be to the ring for it to activate.

Genshin impact had me on "speed-click through dialogue" mode, but in this game I made an effort to slowly take in the story from the start, and you know what?
18:36 was the moment I decided I wouldn't skip most things unless they were very clearly simple generic npc interactions. The game completely got me.
After playing like five minutes of this game it made me realize that I’m just a hoyoverse player only when it comes to these types of games.
I love how u dont compare it to genshin or other games unlike some other content creators! Love the positivity that you radiate even though the screen lol

@@toomzii_ This is not on the same level dude, Genshin still has a differently artistic style to BotW, it’s just that Monsdtat has similar scenery to BotW, but WW looks very similar if not identical to Genshin in literally every way, from the general art direction down to the UI and gameplay systems, almost everything is the same.
Honestly I think people still beating the dead horse of Genshin vs BotW must’ve never played Genshin for more than a handful of hours, I don’t believe anyone with actual experience of the game can honestly say that.

An exploration video would be great, exploring around and getting a feel for the combat system is the most fun part of the game for me so far.
MC in this game is A or A+ depending on build. You can surely use MC as sub dps. Damage is good enough unless you are fighting someone 25 levels more than you.
I’m not sure if I should get this game or not because I already have Genshin, Star Rail and Pjsk on my phone so I don’t wanna run out of storage in the future lol

I have been waiting for this game for a while now. When I got into Genshin (which was a year after its initial release) I saw an 11 video of this when they were showcasing it and love the fighting mechanics. I don’t like to compare either, but I would say it’s a mix of of both but with a darker vibe 😅 Hope more people give it a chance, if you liked Genshin and Star rail, you will like this one.
I like the fact that it's easy to understand WuWa mechanics, because a lot of them are like Genshin, but with different names. There are also original mechanics that are fun!
I found two gems and I am going to hold them both for a long long time : Genshin and Wuwa

You mentioned how many games seem to be focusing on fate as a plot point lately and I think I know at least one reason why. Games are a unique medium where the player has control over the story, but when you stop to think about it, that control is purely a facade. Every outcome in the game has been written in advance. No matter what you, the player, choose, you will still arrive at a predetermined ending. Fate is inescapable. Fate as a plot device in games is somewhat meta in the sense that every game's plot includes an inescapable fate.

Since this game focusses more on combat I wish they add some form of damage record in domains so that we know how much damage everyone is doing, it doesn't seem that out-of-this-world and it would help many people know how strong everyone on their team is
