He's a colorful & cheerful good fairy on the surface, but deep down a colorless & resentful evil spriggan. It's both shocking and memorable. Spriggans are, to keep it simple, ugly evil fairies in mythology (don't ask why the big tree enemies and the other a**hole fairy have this name in FGO).

Bro, I dropped off FGO community and didn't know crap about this shit. I roled Morgan because I wanted Barghest, and got Morgan instead. I heard about Koyan and deicded to try getting her and got it. But after doing reasearch I found out that Oberon + Melusine were amazing units, and I missed Melu! And mind you, this was before I knew more about her as a character and I liked her a lot in LB6! What a mess. I got Oberon, but have no mats for nothing after leveling his skills. So koyan and Morgan are all 6/6/6 at best alongside my GSSR and Ticket unit. It's rough.

If you max all theee servants you did roll, Morgan’s farming numbers with double Vitch Oberon won’t disappoint you, especially if they’re against man attribute enemies. Too bad about Barhgest though ):
@@pingufan1239 I agree. If you have at least Koyanskaya and a reliable Buster DPS then you should be fine for at least 12 months. I expect a bit of carding will have to be done here and there if you got NP1 but your Buster farming will be easier from here on out.
I needed this overlap with Koyanskaya, lol. I only had enough to guarantee one of 'em so I picked Oberon. But this timing basically allowed me to nab Oberon early and even get Koyanskaya before she left. Inject that buster reload shit right into my Arjuna Alter's veins.
about the doble oberon system, there are a select few servants who benefit more out of having two oberons, the biggest poster child of this is Ereshkingal, you equip her with a 60% staring charge CE and her mana loading at lv10, you start with Koyan or reines, and you use one oberon first skill to top of eresh, you use the 50% charger of your choice skills on eresh and oberon second skill, then you swap the 50% charge on turn 3 for the second oberon and use eresh S2 and the other oberon skills along with the first oberon S3, eresh gets more damage this way because her atk up is tied to her np, and her buster buff is just one turn, another example of this is Saber alter, she can use the exact same set up as eresh, thats because her Charisma is abismal, so she gains more out of doble oberon
god Vanila charisma was bad enough, but Salter Charisma not been buffed yet is just baffling. It's like, 12% at max? Or something stupid like that. Even Gil's Maxed rank in lore charisma doesn't cut it these days let alone low ranked ones like that. Hopefully Lasanha can patch that out alongside vanila tacticts.

The only Servant with a higher party wide Atk Up with no other questions is Waver at 30%: Saber Elizabeth has a 50% atk up but that's on her 3rd skill and Space Ishtar gives 20% to herself and 30% to other party members. Everyone else usually gets 20% (even more recent servants like Tai Gong Wang and Summer Wu, do not have innate 20% Atk Up for all party members, although it is supplemented by other damage dealing buffs) and things like 'gain an additional 20% Atk Up if non-self party members have *insert trait here*'.
Oberon is the definition of a double edged sword and do keep in mind your Perma sleeping unit will also affect card rng meaning you will still draw cards of the immobilized unit which really screws ya over. And just as a foot note don't go assuming lasengle isn't aware of how broken his buffs are. Both challenge quest and story quests end up putting you in spots that make it clear Oberon isn't always the correct choice in clearing it especially with how more more ridiculous some boss buffs start to get
Since you mentioned Habbycat's self-delete skill, does it also work with Caster Cu's? Like, would it remove the guts buff he has and off him? Or would it not trigger? Asking for a friend.
I somehow got Oberon through 13 tickets and 4 multis. I was very pleased to get him, my catalyst? *I asked him to help me very nicely* then boom pretender card. Needless to say after beating lb6 and getting vitch and oberon after my melu was collected via pity and suffering. I am very pleased to end this year with all my most wanted servants collected ^-^
a slight correction Pretender actually deal 2x damage againts Berserker and takes 1.5x from them just like Alter Ego, its probably some lore thing the Trio extra extra class effective againts berserker
Nah that’s normal. Berserkers deal 1.5x damage to everyone (except Foreigners). It’s the devs way of balancing their ability to be effective against everyone.
I tell you what...Just throwing in a support Oberon into the mix with a Vlad + Tamamo + (plugsuit & Motzart) has yielded nutty results for me. And that's even without a Black Grail. Good (moth)man!

With double castoria and your oberon. Castoria (yours/support) - Oberon - Chen Gong ; 50% charger - Castoria (yours/support) - **free servant space** . T1 sacrifical castoria uses her skills -> Oberon uses his 1 to give NP dmg buff -> Plugsuit oberon for Artoria pendragon (caster) ->Arts + np gain (save 30% just in case)-> friend is ammo T2 You do the G O N G T3 Oberon with 50% charge and end of Dream comes and super chargers gong -> Oberon is ammo T4 bro you fucked up holy fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck how didnt that do enough dmg I hope **free servant** (mash) can finish oh fuck.
Being a player on JP, for a good while since 2019, that started 2021 when Lostbelt 6 happened, pretty badly, I completely missed him, and while I got very lucky in getting Muramasa and Mélusine on the Road To 7 Banner, I still managed to miss this insect man... Couple of 2 years later, and after a disastrous Mélusine summons, Vitch got pity on me and I got her as cheap as in x60 Saint Quartz, and the moment this man dropped later on, with less than 300 Saint Quartz I got him, such a long time and I was not going to miss him this time around. As someone who, may lack some of the more universal farmers, but has most of the support servants, I'm so happy I can finally open the insanity that is pushing the red button Oberon provieds, while the downside of a permanent crippling, but he's worth that and more, absolutely love his entire character, so glad I finally have him within my servant ranks. As always thanks for the video Fino!
I've always equated Oberon to one of two camps: he's either effectively equivalent to half to a full NP copy for any Servant that _can_ but does not _need_ to use him, or he's the lynchpin of whatever team or purpose he's serving towards. Similar to Crane in that regard, only he's a hell of a lot more practical and useful due to him being decisively more supportive _and_ not having a good chunk of his power locked away in an finnicky NP. Moth boi is Premium Waver: a Servant everyone should get, as he'll generally improve any team he's in greatly, and with a stacked account and smart playing can make the impossible possible. As a side note, his S3 has a bit more tactical applications that it first appears. It's most prominent use case is to decisively finish fights, yes, but it can also be used as a pseudo Poster Girl. To name an example, you could use his S3 on a roided up Kintoki to break a Bar on a phase of a fight, then get the golden boy chumped out and rotate in a new Servant that is better suited as a main attacker for later phases or another Support if you're running a double attacker set-up with Oberon. Another fun thing about his S3 is that it's demerits only apply once the turn ends: if you happen to GONG that Servant or happen to suicide them otherwise (as is the case with Arash, Mandricardo, or Habetrot), then you can gain all the power for none of the drawbacks. Theses tactics are more useful for hybrid set-ups or certain Double Oberon comps, but _are_ there if you need to push as much damage as possible on a Wave or part of a fight.
Managed to snag both him and Koyan somehow, now I have an Albion-shaped hammer. Protip, if you have a copy of A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999), use it. It worked a bit too well for my heart.
Another tip for the new buster meta is make sure your account is at least a few months old to have the necessary resources. New accounts do not have enough to enable it early on so arts meta is better in this case
Fortunately, unlike most previous meta supports, Koyanskaya and Oberon aren't casters so they won't make the previous meta supports on your friends list become an endangered species.
Managed to get him in only a multi and god it felt amazing getting him, Koyan and Castoria in so few SQ (Castoria made me go through hell at her debut so had to try again) as a free to play. Godbless everyone trying for Koyan & Oberon!
Man I got so lucky these last few banners I ended up rolling for Oberon despite not planning to. Luck continued and I got him after 22 tickets and 1 multi
Desire sensor really is real. I'd committed to getting Koyan over Oberon since I had a total of, like, 600 SQ from before anni up until now. My targets were Melu, Koyan, and Oberon, in descending order of want. 300 SQ for Melu. Got her on like the last roll I could make at the time. (NP3 Percy tho; not bad). 210 SQ for Koyan. 6 shitrolls in a row, then she simply appeared. Oberon? He came on the FIRST roll, no questions asked. Anyway, none of that matters because my real true target was Habetrot who I blew 1.3 million FP on to get to NP8 for coins and immediately grailed to 100. Fun fact: Habetrot's sacrifice kicks in before Oberon's Eternal Slumber kicks in, so you're able to sac her off if you want using her third skill. Despite not being a Buster servant, she also makes pretty good use of him since her NP itself gives herself a 30% NP damage buff, which gets doubled to 60%. Bride fairy > mothman.
Here my opinion on 90++ node. It's usually not worth farming aside from lottery event and its clone if you don't have enough support to back it up. Mainly because normal event has a finite amount of material in shop and FGO start doing 3 weeks event from Sea Monster Crisis next year onward so you have more than enough time to clear the shop unless you only play at the last few days. So for those that can't do it, don't hang up on it too much.
@@sudegok1027 Bond isn't that matter to minmaxing and clear the shop early only give yourself more dead week. Not to mention depend on the account and what the node has, it could range from 8-20 turns, there is also a chance you can fail these nodes. So overall the reward aren't worth it unless it's lottory evwnt.
As F2P I am happy to have Melu, Koyans and Oberon for a total of 500+SQ. Now it's time to save up to reach NP2-5 with Melu and get MLB Black Grail. The LB6 Banner Hell is finally over.
Its pretty nice how even without my own Koyan with Oberon I can still buster loop with my melu, just need another 50% charger, however the only real "drawback" to this is that well melu can't use her s1 on the first wave and only has her NP buster up and Koyan buster up to clean the first wave, but considering it she still does big dragon dick damage its fine, and koyan has a banner like 6 months from now so im not in a rush
Not even gonna lie, I randomly decided to start playing fgo again the other day and pulled Sith and Oberon on a whim. I now have a fresh account with Heracles, A maxed out Waver (special ascension), Tam Lin, and Oberon. Haven't even tried the paid GSSR yet lol

I did get NP5 Tristan though... unfortunately I got the Tristan that won't step on me, so it's a shame. I did get 2 black and a k scope tho, so it's not all bad.
np3 koyanskaya and np0 Morgan :( cleared me out... But then Oberon graced me in a single multi roll! BTW lookup the scene from the simpsons where Martin says "I'm oberon king of the fairies" Cheers

As an F2P, skipping over Morgan and especially Melusine was brutal but it was well worth it since I managed to get both Koyanskaya and Oberon. Now I just need to wait till December for Melusine to come back so I can pick her up then. Though for right now, Oberon is my 3rd wave steroid for the Chen Gong system (I blame you for getting me hooked, best addiction I've ever had)
"UNLIMITED POWER" - A lie actually. Overall, am very happy that I got him. He's pretty amusing to use, although all the grinding for his skills really sucked. For a random team comp I've been using for farming, I combined Habetrot's second skill and Oberon's first skill to clear wave one and then continue with buster looping for the last two. It's been working great.
I got lucky with every recent Five star besides Oberon, got Koyanskaya in less than 100 rolls and Morgan in less than 50, no Tam Lin Gawain/Tristan and I didn't get Tam Lin Lancelot or Oberon, but if I'm honest I didn't really care much for any of those, Double Koyanskaya is more than enough with my roster for the time being. I may regret this eventually, but for now I'm good with my only Mothman being the The Chinese Emperor.
Pulled np2 in my first multi, pulled np3 in my second. I've got at least one more multi on the banner thanks to login bonus quartz, so I'm gonna try for NP4 so that I can hit level 120 without having to wait another few years for bond 15.
What for? The NP damage multiplier is already hella strong regardless of what color the NP is. And even if you get a refund from it, it wouldn't do jack if the Servant goes to sleep
@@ChaldeaWarmaster for the memes, mostly, but from a gameplay perspective, NP damage and multiplier don’t help with gains, and while NP gain would be pointless with Oberon’s 3rd skill, stars are almost never a bad thing to have.

I have burned all my resources. NP5 Sith, NP6 Barg, Altera, , before finally hitting Oberon. Unexplainable amount of CEs. Truly a cost of insanity. Never have I throw my 1 dollar pity everyday nor farming all nodes, bond points just for a servant like a crack addict.
Got him within 300 quarts & 54 tickets, just to fuel arts looping a little bit better while I have no idea if it'll be good enough for 90++ in the future.
I only got one copy of him after 140 paid sqs and 10 tickets. That said, I’m glad I went to my local library to borrow A Midsummer Night’s Dream as a catalyst.
Thankfully I got him within 200 quarts so I still have a decent stock pile for the summer summons. And the second Morgan banner. I won’t lie though it’s tempting to want to go for more of him even though I don’t need a second copy because one is already enough for his buffs I’ve got Chihuahua and I’ve got both Morgan, Arjuna, And fairy night Lancelot at the minimum so in terms of farmers I am pretty well set
I didnt want him but did some pulls just because I heard he is a good buster support and I got melusine so I figured why not, got him in 9 pulls. I still would have prefered if that luck was used on a different character instead but I cant complain I guess. Also got Koyanskaya of Light so they probably will make a good pair. I was pretty darn lucky to get the 3 of them as a f2p that plays very casualy.

Honestly speaking though, the way he's designed is balanced and I can't really see any way they could've done him better. Although the argument of balance goes put the window starting this year with the absolute bullshit that is melu, tiamat, kukulkan, arceuid, tez so maybe removing the demerits would be good :) I got him and koyan, can't use em both cause I had to skip to get them so here's to waiting for a minute until I can get a buster servant with high enough np to use them.
I got Oberon, but since I'm low on resourses and don't particularly like him, I'll keep him at lvl1 and just for fun give him a worm CE. That's what you have for messing up with me, bug.

He’s definitely handy. Pretty sure I’ll only ever really use him as a support. But he’ll do that job just fine.
He can clutch up knights waves if need it. But yeah otherwise don't bother.

Being a player on JP, for a good while since 2019, that started 2021 when Lostbelt 6 happened, pretty badly, I completely missed him, and while I got very lucky in getting Muramasa and Mélusine on the Road To 7 Banner, I still managed to miss this insect man...
Couple of 2 years later, and after a disastrous Mélusine summons, Vitch got pity on me and I got her as cheap as in x60 Saint Quartz, and the moment this man dropped later on, with less than 300 Saint Quartz I got him, such a long time and I was not going to miss him this time around. As someone who, may lack some of the more universal farmers, but has most of the support servants, I'm so happy I can finally open the insanity that is pushing the red button Oberon provieds, while the downside of a permanent crippling, but he's worth that and more, absolutely love his entire character, so glad I finally have him within my servant ranks. As always thanks for the video Fino!
The fact that Oberon works well with two card types is really awesome. I love slotting him in to my teams.
He works with all card types though, with his ability to make any DPS hit harder on Turn 3.

I've always equated Oberon to one of two camps: he's either effectively equivalent to half to a full NP copy for any Servant that _can_ but does not _need_ to use him, or he's the lynchpin of whatever team or purpose he's serving towards. Similar to Crane in that regard, only he's a hell of a lot more practical and useful due to him being decisively more supportive _and_ not having a good chunk of his power locked away in an finnicky NP. Moth boi is Premium Waver: a Servant everyone should get, as he'll generally improve any team he's in greatly, and with a stacked account and smart playing can make the impossible possible.
As a side note, his S3 has a bit more tactical applications that it first appears. It's most prominent use case is to decisively finish fights, yes, but it can also be used as a pseudo Poster Girl. To name an example, you could use his S3 on a roided up Kintoki to break a Bar on a phase of a fight, then get the golden boy chumped out and rotate in a new Servant that is better suited as a main attacker for later phases or another Support if you're running a double attacker set-up with Oberon. Another fun thing about his S3 is that it's demerits only apply once the turn ends: if you happen to GONG that Servant or happen to suicide them otherwise (as is the case with Arash, Mandricardo, or Habetrot), then you can gain all the power for none of the drawbacks. Theses tactics are more useful for hybrid set-ups or certain Double Oberon comps, but _are_ there if you need to push as much damage as possible on a Wave or part of a fight.
Managed to snag both him and Koyan somehow, now I have an Albion-shaped hammer. Protip, if you have a copy of A Midsummer Night's Dream (1999), use it. It worked a bit too well for my heart.
In yesterday's banner, I was trying to get enough Caster Cus to 120 him, and wound up getting 4 oberons so I guess he's becoming a main attacker too
Managed to get him np2 in 160 quarts. Happy to have the option to have him be a secondary dps if need be.
Another tip for the new buster meta is make sure your account is at least a few months old to have the necessary resources. New accounts do not have enough to enable it early on so arts meta is better in this case
Fortunately, unlike most previous meta supports, Koyanskaya and Oberon aren't casters so they won't make the previous meta supports on your friends list become an endangered species.

Man I got so lucky these last few banners I ended up rolling for Oberon despite not planning to. Luck continued and I got him after 22 tickets and 1 multi
Desire sensor really is real. I'd committed to getting Koyan over Oberon since I had a total of, like, 600 SQ from before anni up until now. My targets were Melu, Koyan, and Oberon, in descending order of want.
300 SQ for Melu. Got her on like the last roll I could make at the time. (NP3 Percy tho; not bad).
210 SQ for Koyan. 6 shitrolls in a row, then she simply appeared.
Oberon? He came on the FIRST roll, no questions asked.
Anyway, none of that matters because my real true target was Habetrot who I blew 1.3 million FP on to get to NP8 for coins and immediately grailed to 100. Fun fact: Habetrot's sacrifice kicks in before Oberon's Eternal Slumber kicks in, so you're able to sac her off if you want using her third skill. Despite not being a Buster servant, she also makes pretty good use of him since her NP itself gives herself a 30% NP damage buff, which gets doubled to 60%. Bride fairy > mothman.
Love Oberon! First servant I whaled to NP5 ❤. Working now on 120 and 2k fou, but I’m in QP hell after all these LB6 servants and their skills.
I knew Mothman (True) was stupidly good but didn't know what exactly he did or how, so this was great since I have him for team building.
Here my opinion on 90++ node. It's usually not worth farming aside from lottery event and its clone if you don't have enough support to back it up. Mainly because normal event has a finite amount of material in shop and FGO start doing 3 weeks event from Sea Monster Crisis next year onward so you have more than enough time to clear the shop unless you only play at the last few days. So for those that can't do it, don't hang up on it too much.
This is for casual, if you play the game casually and farm very little then yeah oberon and nodes 90++are not required.
@@sudegok1027 Bond isn't that matter to minmaxing and clear the shop early only give yourself more dead week. Not to mention depend on the account and what the node has, it could range from 8-20 turns, there is also a chance you can fail these nodes. So overall the reward aren't worth it unless it's lottory evwnt.
As F2P I am happy to have Melu, Koyans and Oberon for a total of 500+SQ.
Now it's time to save up to reach NP2-5 with Melu and get MLB Black Grail.

I got Oberon 10/10/10 after completing Avalon Le Fay and - good GOD - he is strong - both as an attacker AND a support.
Its pretty nice how even without my own Koyan with Oberon I can still buster loop with my melu, just need another 50% charger, however the only real "drawback" to this is that well melu can't use her s1 on the first wave and only has her NP buster up and Koyan buster up to clean the first wave, but considering it she still does big dragon dick damage its fine, and koyan has a banner like 6 months from now so im not in a rush

I now have a fresh account with Heracles, A maxed out Waver (special ascension), Tam Lin, and Oberon. Haven't even tried the paid GSSR yet lol

Obviously very handy mothman, liked using him as damage dealer. Even if he is wonky with damage, its was quite pleasant for his OST alone. Hail the funny moth.

As an F2P, skipping over Morgan and especially Melusine was brutal but it was well worth it since I managed to get both Koyanskaya and Oberon. Now I just need to wait till December for Melusine to come back so I can pick her up then.
Though for right now, Oberon is my 3rd wave steroid for the Chen Gong system (I blame you for getting me hooked, best addiction I've ever had)

"UNLIMITED POWER" - A lie actually. Overall, am very happy that I got him. He's pretty amusing to use, although all the grinding for his skills really sucked.
For a random team comp I've been using for farming, I combined Habetrot's second skill and Oberon's first skill to clear wave one and then continue with buster looping for the last two. It's been working great.

Just got him with one single summon on his surprise banner.
I got lucky with every recent Five star besides Oberon, got Koyanskaya in less than 100 rolls and Morgan in less than 50, no Tam Lin Gawain/Tristan and I didn't get Tam Lin Lancelot or Oberon, but if I'm honest I didn't really care much for any of those, Double Koyanskaya is more than enough with my roster for the time being.
I may regret this eventually, but for now I'm good with my only Mothman being the The Chinese Emperor.
Pulled np2 in my first multi, pulled np3 in my second. I've got at least one more multi on the banner thanks to login bonus quartz, so I'm gonna try for NP4 so that I can hit level 120 without having to wait another few years for bond 15.

If, by some miracle, Lasengle decides to buff Oberon, I think they should make his 3rd skill a rainbow buff rather than just a buster buff.
What for? The NP damage multiplier is already hella strong regardless of what color the NP is. And even if you get a refund from it, it wouldn't do jack if the Servant goes to sleep
@@ChaldeaWarmaster for the memes, mostly, but from a gameplay perspective, NP damage and multiplier don’t help with gains, and while NP gain would be pointless with Oberon’s 3rd skill, stars are almost never a bad thing to have.
@@ausarthevile2970 what is the point of gains if your Servant is asleep? Who will use the crit stars? The supports? Oberon himself I can see getting some use out of them but that's about it.

I have burned all my resources. NP5 Sith, NP6 Barg, Altera, , before finally hitting Oberon. Unexplainable amount of CEs. Truly a cost of insanity. Never have I throw my 1 dollar pity everyday nor farming all nodes, bond points just for a servant like a crack addict.
Got him within 300 quarts & 54 tickets, just to fuel arts looping a little bit better while I have no idea if it'll be good enough for 90++ in the future.

My luck always spikes in the summer, so I got Morgan, Baobhan Sith and Barghest both at NP3, Melusine, Konyanskya, and Oberon.
I only got one copy of him after 140 paid sqs and 10 tickets. That said, I’m glad I went to my local library to borrow A Midsummer Night’s Dream as a catalyst.

I won’t lie though it’s tempting to want to go for more of him even though I don’t need a second copy because one is already enough for his buffs I’ve got Chihuahua and I’ve got both Morgan, Arjuna, And fairy night Lancelot at the minimum so in terms of farmers I am pretty well set
I didnt want him but did some pulls just because I heard he is a good buster support and I got melusine so I figured why not, got him in 9 pulls. I still would have prefered if that luck was used on a different character instead but I cant complain I guess. Also got Koyanskaya of Light so they probably will make a good pair. I was pretty darn lucky to get the 3 of them as a f2p that plays very casualy.

Honestly speaking though, the way he's designed is balanced and I can't really see any way they could've done him better. Although the argument of balance goes put the window starting this year with the absolute bullshit that is melu, tiamat, kukulkan, arceuid, tez so maybe removing the demerits would be good :)
