Correct, their sense of entitlement is quite astonishing. As a tax payer I do not want any of my taxes going to fund any Matatriki celebrations, they forget or do not appear to be aware, Government money, funding comes from the hard working tax payer, not a money tree in Wellington. Welfare Dependency syndrome.

Maori want to know what has been done for them and nothing about all New Zealanders. Don't they realise that their iwi have got all their money and they should see them if they need cash. They have paid taxes which the Government gave to their leaders who are holding it, so ask them. Shane Jones is a treasure for all New Zealanders.
As any student of economics knows
Wants (desires)are unlimited but resources(funds) are limited.
Choices have to be made where the limited funds are allocated.
Should the scarce funds go to Matariki entertainment or to offering improved cancer treatment and drugs.
To back room bureaucrats or fixing failing infrastructure
To Members of Parliament who promote division or those who seek the long term betterment of all New Zealanders.
Where should the scarce taxpayer funds go?
Really reach for the Stars and unity of Matariki.

The calibre of parliament has been brought down by the greens, te pati and labour.
It’s as though they can’t cope or compete with the coalition so they’re trivialising the issues spoken about by laughing a lot.
It’s like the laughter is to lighten the motions , declarations and points of order.
They’re really avoiding fierce intellectual debate by filling the air with whimsical gestures and catcalls.
I’ve witnessed this behaviour from struggling students who are trying to avoid the task of learning.
Create lots of laughter and that way any mistakes will be not taken so seriously.
If this is what the coalition is up against they should be able to fast track all their policies through without any hindrance.

Maori, Maori, Maori, all what they want is money for themselves, we are all new Zealanders, it doesn't matter what race you are, Maori seem to think they are a race on it's own and think all Nzers owe them everything, we are all living under one umbrella,
Stop living in past and move forward to bring this country back on track.
Good on you, Shane Jones our next Maori leader for all race

Parliament needs Winston and Shane to keep it nutruel and honest. But I had to giggle at 5:23 when Winston said 'how about learn some basics about Maori culture', yet as a Maori he can't even pronounce the word 'Maori' correctly

Maori are heavily over-represented in the poor in NZ, yet the Coalition budget did absolutely nothing for the poor and in fact made matters worse, e.g. prescription charges. If NZ First wants results for Maori then they shouldnt backed the budget.
Also perpetual leases on Maori land need to be sunsetted. If they were Pakeha leases they would have been sunsetted ages ago. If NZ First wants results for Maori then they need to move to sunset these perpetual leases.
    Action Shane Jones, not words.

where is my violin. My father came from Scotland at the end of the war with nothing. Met & married mum ( maori heritage) They got off their arses and worked. Had a dairy in the Harp of Erin near Ellerslie. Council stopped the trams and put on buses. The bus stopped outside a dairy up the road. They went bankrupt.
Started from nothing, both worked, owned another house... Never a handout , hard work.
      We kids did the same.

Apart from cutting taxes and other legislation to drive down inflation which robs the poor disproportionately
Giving poor people more free stuff doesn’t ultimately do them any good because it drives up inflation
