I completely agree that the RMS and Pat McGrath blushes are both so special and rare. Buildable but not too sheer, blurring but not flat, easy to use and both have such beautiful shade ranges. I have collected six or more of each and I’m not a TH-camr! I had to stop microwaving my lunch when you decided to swatch the blushes. I just had to gaze at their beauty! Fun video
I have fair olive skin and the shade alabaster is absolutely fabulous!! I feel like this is a nicer version of the Ilia Skin Tint - better coverage, not as dewy, better wear time and better shade range. I am sold. Also the packaging is amazing.

I am excited for this video. I recently bought the cheek color in Smile, then the new setting powder, then used the primer sample that came with it. I was blown away by the primer (the Re-Evolve primer). My skin looked better at the end of the day when I used it - calmer, less red, blemishes had started to heal. I bought that, too. All this to say - the brand had been impressing me lately!! The primer wasn’t on your product list for this video, but as someone whose skin can’t usually handle the extra layer for a primer, it’s truly excellent, too.

Mae looks so great on you! I ordered Naomi and Eve. Naomi looked awesome, but Eve looked almost flourescent orange on me (which is funny because it looked pink on you). I swapped it for Mae, and that works a little better. Also, buffalo shrimp at Hooters is *chef's kiss*!
I was actually just listening to another creator who kept repeating for each product " I don't know what it is about it" for why they love the product and all i could think was how much I appreciate your in-depth reasoning for why you like things, or nuances in shades. So don't think it's annoying! At least for me it never, ever is. As you say "news we can use" 😊
suncoverup works really well for me over my skincare spf. I am also the alibaster shade. I either use naked Sundays mineral collagen spf or rms beauty radiance serum spf. Both work well underneath, but o think the radiance serum is probably the best underneath. That way I don’t have to rely on it for my full spf coverage, and it just gives a little extra spf and a really nice finish. I have most of the rms blushes and my favorites are maidens blush, pomegranate fizz and French rose. I also love the lip shade in Mae, and the boardwalk Betty bronzer. I really would love rms to make a liquid concealer similar to suncoverup, and am also hoping someday for a liquid blush!
Those RMS blushes are SO sparking! But in outdoor light. Like, you think you’re very cute and demure and no makeup makeup, but then you go outside and while the rest of you could be saying mellow morning, your cheeks will be shouting rainbow iridescent micro flecks!
Crystal slipper just disappeared on my light skin. I do love Maiden’s Blush though. It’s a toss up with my Armani 50. I love RMS in general. The supernatural radiance serum is an amazing product. If I’m tired and dry at the end of the day, I put this on and immediately look revived. I’m so looking forward to trying this new foundation.
I have samples for the two lighter shades of the serum and I don’t like it. The fragrance was a risk for my sensitive skin, thank God my skin was not mad at me 😅 But the smell is so awful, like an old lady and it’s so patchy, no matter how little or much I used 🫣 I like the new foundation so much better, that’s a holy grail and all the powders, too. I’m looking forward to the suncover tint 🤩

I agree with you about the SunCoverup. I don’t wear foundations and concealers because I think my skin looks better without them. I’m 54 and have dry skin. I bought it to use as a moisturizing sunscreen. I tried it on first without a moisturizer, and it looked awful. It was drying, and there’s no way it would look good applying the full amount needed for sun protection. I tried it again over moisturizer, and it was fine. However, still not great after applying the full amount for sun protection. For me, this works best applied in a thin layer over moisturizer and another sunscreen. I love RMS but won’t be repurchasing this. By the way, you always remind me of a young Jessica Lange. ❤️
Important question regarding RMS! No, not really, but I am curios: How similar are the bronzer Beachwalk Betty and the Maiden’s blush? I have the blush, want the bronzer, but don’t know if I need it 😁
You do need boardwalk Betty. I have similar coloring to Kackie and do a similar application with them. They are definitely very different shades and I think the bronzer is very sheer and not very pigmented compared to the blush.
I’m curious what you mean by how you “used” to feel about the Pat McGrath blushes. Has your opinion changed or do you mean vs the later vivid blush releases in that formula?

I have every color of the RMS blushes and bronzers and I wish they would come out with a double sided palette to fit everything. They’re my favorite blush and I use them everyday. I also been watching Depot Chopra for alternatives because I want every color to be readily available.

The tone that might suit me has an olive undertone, and I have a quite yellow undertone in the centre of my face… I would look seasick🤢, so it’s a no for me. My mother also became a little obsessed about her undereye area after having cataract surgery. I was tempted to mock her for being vain - until she visited a cosmetic surgeon who determined that she actually had herniated fat pads indeed her eyes! Sure was referred to a cosmetic surgeon who was also an opthalmologist, and she had a surgical repair, completed from inside her lower eyelids. Holy cow, what a massive difference!

Paired with a face palette from vieve I can do my whole face and eye real quick and be confident about it working out well and lasting well. Hard agree on the packaging! Not magnetic; such sadness. I am new to RMS so I didn’t try any of their failures. I’m hesitant about the new tint because I don’t know what color to choose. Wish I could find it at a store to test. It’s hard to find in the wild. According to their store locator the closest place is 60 miles away and I live in a large city.
Just bought the RMS Skin tint and was wondering if the sponge you used to put it on was wet or dry? I used a wet sponge and it worked okay. I used the Skin tint with a primer but found that after six or so hours it seemed to disappear. I do like it though.

Do you think the touch of green in the foundation shade might combat redness? For those of us who turn red if we look at ourselves wrong in the mirror?
I watched Lisa Eldridge discuss choosing a shade in her new skin tints and she recommended an olive undertone shade for those of us who deal with redness, so I picked up my usual shade plus the more olive one. I think it does help to combat the redness. For me it comes through after a few hours. Thankfully laser season starts soon :)

Kackie, I really don't think that your eyes being smaller or closer together is a flaw. I understand wanting to establish a balance among your features that satisfies your artistic eye, and that makes you look the way you want to look. But it's really not something that diminishes your beauty in any way. You do have a resemblance to Shawnee Smith, and I say that, because sometimes, it's difficult to appreciate certain features you have objectively, but seeing them out of the usual context, on someone else can help

Takes the blushes out and add your own magnet on the back. They make some quite thin. Remive the sticker on the back and voila

I was wondering what you said about rose Marie and rms so I researched a little and she is sill the creative behind RMS she does have a person who took over the business side so.e guy is the ceo. Yes I am like rms never had their old stuff but I am interested now.

Do you think the touch of green in the foundation shade might combat redness? For those of us who turn red if we look at ourselves wrong in the mirror?
I watched Lisa Eldridge discuss choosing a shade in her new skin tints and she recommended an olive undertone shade for those of us who deal with redness, so I picked up my usual shade plus the more olive one. I think it does help to combat the redness. For me it comes through after a few hours. Thankfully laser season starts soon :)

Kackie, I really don't think that your eyes being smaller or closer together is a flaw. I understand wanting to establish a balance among your features that satisfies your artistic eye, and that makes you look the way you want to look. But it's really not something that diminishes your beauty in any way. You do have a resemblance to Shawnee Smith, and I say that, because sometimes, it's difficult to appreciate certain features you have objectively, but seeing them out of the usual context, on someone else can help
