I know there are people who don't watch makeup tutorials or hauls..but us makeup geeks are looking more flawless as time goes by. We are learning so much.
Agreed! I’m 52 and I’ve gotten so many compliments on my skin and/or makeup lately. There’s a plethora of products that don’t mask me, rather they enhance my features.
This is the second time I’ve seen you apply bronzer like this, and every time, it’s a dramatic change. You suddenly look like you’re a first year college student, hanging out at the beach for spring break. Beautiful!
Yes! I grew up in the 80's and I always did the same thing until I started watching TH-cam and then I started doing it the other way. The old way is so much better!!
I'll take your word for it that bronzer was even discussed back in the 70s. I don't really recall it being something that was discussed as everyday makeup. I honestly don't remember hearing about it a lot until that Jersey Shore tv show was a thing. Then everybody suddenly had to wear bronzer. Not me.
I have some old Glamour & Mademoiselle mags from the '70s, and I think the makeup products and placement look SO much better than most of what is considered fashionable today. You see the person and her eyes, not the makeup and the ginormous eyebrows and an orange face. We didn't contour and try to change the shape of our faces. Bronzer was mentioned, but only rarely. Face color mostly came from a light, natural-looking application of blush.
Since your last video I was saying "finally, hallelujah" about the bronze placement advice. As someone who grew up in Egypt (ie lots of sun), was never quite sure why the "pros" told us two stripes is better than where the sun *actually* hits and leaves color. Thanks for bringing back common sense!
I like her bronzer and blush tips. She's one of the few professionals that don't tell you to put blush in the high points of the cheeks and temples. Her way looks so much more natural.
I really appreciate that you reviewed RMS products while using the methods that Rose Marie suggests. Makes a huge difference in understanding the products and what they are great for. Love it!
Just purchased my fifth RMS blush. I wasn't even a "blush person" before discovering this line. It's actually changed the way I do my makeup now. Instead of always focusing on eyes, I now focus more on complexion,
For all you 70+ ladies this is a great application for bronzer and for younger women also. In the winter, if you use this bronzer application but using a pale blush, it looks like you came in from the cold. A very healthy look.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I've been waiting on this since you mentioned her the other night... about the bronzer placement! I've been watching her too, she makes so much sense & she's GORGEOUS!!😍😍😍 AWESOME VIDEO JEN!!🥰❤️💄💋💐👑🫶🏼
You really don't. These are department store priced products with a heck of a lot of shine. It's your money, of course, but I think there are products on the market that are more practical for everyday wear.
I will say the Burriti bronzer is really great. The color is spot on. I don't like creams generally, but I have gotten the most compliments since using this and with this technique. I dot it on my nose where my freckles are too. I also like this is cleaner beauty too.
I love RMS beauty! I think it's a new favorite! Finally... someone who doesn't load up their skin with orange fake tan, fake orange bronzer and tantour! 🍊 I love everything I've tried from RMS.
A drop of jojoba oil mixed with my regular foundation application has been a game changer for me, I highly recommend it. It is not greasy. Learned this trick from Wayne Goss' TH-cam channel years ago. Also, when you said, "and on this side you can still see...discoloration." No, honey, that's not discoloration, that is your COLORATION. You are not discolored simply because you have different zones on your face which have their own color, that is how you are supposed to look. The cosmetics give the false comfort of a flat skintone of all one color, what we perceive now as a "blank canvas." We seem to think that is what natural looks like now after so much Instagram and Tiktok makeup videos where they practically need a putty knife to scrape off the thick layers of their concealers and foundation to find the real them beneath.
I love Rose Marie. She's no nonsense, funny, real. "Boom, boom, done." Seeing you reproduce her techniques has really sold me! JC Penney sells rms and a bunch of other cool indie brands owned by women, POC, and LGBTQIA folks. Their fragrance selection is amazing!
Rosemarie's method makes so much more sense to me. I could never get my bronzer to look right on my face shape, I have a long, thin, oval shaped face. This method looks so much better on me. I'm also 69 years old and it definitely gives me a more youthful look. I also want to try the "boyfriend" blush method. I watched Stephanie Marie's video about this, and it looked really nice also. I love your videos. You have such good ideas and your reviews are honest. Thank you.
Oh my. I keep saying this on the majority of videos, and the website is all pretty young models. Love Rose Marie but they are quick tips. So happy I finally found this beauty doing this 🎉
Rose Marie’s philosophy of both blush and bronzer placement makes so much sense!! Thank you for this video bc it’s nice to see someone else try these tips out.
i knew of RMS but when I saw Rose Marie's video w/cream bronzer, my eyes were wide open. im super pale/never looked right using bronzer. ive watched all her tutorials & it has changed my makeup application
Did you purchase and use the rms bronzer in the meantime? I'm also very fair (neutral) and while I can pull off some bronzers if I apply lightly, this bronzer in the video looked like it would work much better for us pale people. So just wondering if you ever tried it out :)
@@lorena5mash I would def recommend it 10 out of 10 for we pale skinned ladies. I have also tried the RMS Living Luminizer & it's beautiful. I feel like wearing highlighter sometimes looks odd because it looks like an unnatural streak on my face but this product just makes the SKIN look dewy... Like it's naturally coming from within your skin, not makeup sitting on top
Can you please swap/compare RMS bronzer Beachwalk Betty and blush Maiden’s Blush next to each other? I’m interested in knowing their differences, and which one has a more cooler & pink tone in it. This was a great video, I love Rose-Marie Swift, she’s such an amazing vibrant woman!
Oh my gosh…I started with one little eye light and now I think I have everything RMS makes. All the blushes, bronzers and eye lights. Love the lip serums in the role up tube. They feel so good and are more of a stain. You look so fresh and beautiful, beachy! I am 66 and I love everything in the line. I can’t say enough good about them!
So excited to see you using RMS 😊 I LOVE Rose Marie & RMS! At 58, I can't remember the last time I wore foundation and, so I'm told, I look 10 years younger than my age which I contribute to natural & less makeup. I personally think foundation makes (most) people look older. I enjoy watching makeup artists like Nikki LaRose, Risa, Allie....but at the end of the day it's just too much makeup for me. I only use skin tints & concealer but now I have to try this technique. Thanks Jen. You look great & youthful. Yep, that Rose Marie knows what she's talkin about. I have no clue why Sephora or Ulta don't sell her products. It makes no sense.
I’m gonna comment on this even before I watch this. I’m OBSESSED with RMS. I absolutely love Rose Marie Swift. I just settled in for the night pulled up TH-cam and I’m SOO excited you did this video. YAY!!!! Toodles…time to go watch your video ❤❤❤❤❤. Update…I’m back…Jen this video is excellent. You did such an amazing job. By far my favorite video you’ve ever done. I loved the clips you added. Thank you for all your hard work on this one. It made my day❤️❤️❤️❤️ love you and your channel. PS favorite RMS product, back to brow
I have been so on-the-fence about picking up an RMS bronzer and blush! I absolutely LOVE the cream one on you!! So natural looking! I see RMS is at Ulta now. Yay! 😊
I am loving these placements- I’m going to have to go and watch Rose Marie - she is my vintage so I feel she understands what I am going through with my face as I am aging.
Thank you for this video, I love the different placement of products. I am happy that you added the clips of Rose Marie explaining it. Great idea, Jen!💚
I think one of the points you touched on is important, we all have different face shapes, so placement is slightly different from one person to the next, depending on what you are trying to emphasise or de-emphasise..... same as we use different colours to suit our skin colour/tone/undertones.... dry or oily.....smooth or wrinkles...... so we should all watch plenty of these tips and tricks in information from YTers, MUAs, etc... use what works for us and don't worry too much about trends that don't look good on us.😊😊
I really trust RM, she knows what she’s talking about! Every RMS product I’ve used, I’ve loved. Going to start including more things as I need, starting with that bronzer!
I’ve been putting my bronzer and blush on like a W for years and we’re the same age. I learned it from Julia Adams years ago. Your makeup looks stunning Jen the last few videos. Beautiful ❤
The last game-changing advice I've seen I found in Mua's videos on 5-minute makeup looks. Its amazing how nice just a little makeup can look and how quickly and simply it can be applied. Cant wait to see the tips you are sharing
I’ve started applying my bronzer this way because of you, and it’s been a complete game changer for my face. It makes me look more youthful and natural. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I’m 47 and not in denial about my age lol but anything that helps me look refreshed and my best is very welcomed! ❤
Jen! This video opened my eyes about RMS beauty and its founder (her name is familiar but I didn't know who she was or that she was the founder of this bran). I had totally written off RMS as one of those "new generation" Sephora brands (I remember when Sephora opened), those minimalist, often "clean"-marketed (which I loathe) brands that I associate together...Tower, Ariana Grande's brand, Merit, Lys, etc etc. I haven't been interested in trying anything from those brands as they are way out of my aesthetic interest zone as well as being clean-marketed. I'm so delighted that the the founder is a female makeup artist who has experienced the greater part of middle age. I'm pretty sure this is still a heavily clean- r natural-marketed brand, which is often a "no" for me and my skin...but maybe I'll try one item after a careful review of the ingredients list. Thank you for teaching me something new!
She's been around the block, done high level pro makeup, isn't just jumping on a bandwagon, and I just love her no nonsense but funny vibe. I relate to her.
Jen!!!! I just did my own haul from RMS. Rosemary is incredible and has a new fan. Thank you for your enthusiasm - is so, so contagious :). Love your channel.
I love my RMS powder blushes & Beachwalk Betty - and watching Rose Marie's shorts - this was a terrific idea! You've sold me on a bunch of stuff, especially the cream bronzer. Everything you did here makes YOU look great, which is almost always what one wants.
Wow! Great video! I am SO glad that a mature woman who owns her own makeup company understands the concept that you need a bit of radiance (not all matte) in our makeup as we get older. Nothing ages a face more than a totally matte face (including ALL matte shadows). What she offers is not glittery at all...but it has a glowy radiance to it that is so flattering. A bit of shimmer bounces and reflects light which is YOUTHFUL. I remember when women thought they had to only wear a matte face at the age of 35+. No way. We need radiance more than ever as we age. I am going to try these tips.
Love all these tips and how they make such a difference in your makeup look! So fresh and youthful! Definitely going to give them a try. I don’t have a long face, but at 57, I am getting that “jowly” look so anything that helps that is a win in my book! Thanks for sharing, Jen!
Their liquid foundation is amazing! And their new moisturizer is PHENOMENAL!!! I have super dry skin and only need a bit but it’s not too much or overwhelming hydrating. The blushes were my first love but I have fallen head over heels in love with this brand! Bluemercury stocks their products in store so if you want to find your shade in the foundation a trip to NYC might be in the books 😊
One of my most favorite videos you've done to date...don't get me wrong, I love all your videos!!!! But this one is touching my soul on a different level!!❤ I have her eyelights and now I need the other products before I EVEN consider the ND golden palette. These have become a must have for my more mature dry skin!! Thank you for sharing all of these ❤❤❤
I have been seeing Rose Marie? constantly on my feed while watching videos on my phone. I didn’t realize she was the founder of RMS beauty 😂So cool that her products are available on Amazon!!! Her tips and tricks are on point for us more mature women! I love her❣️💯Thanks so much, Jen, for highlighting her makeup collection today. I want all of it!!! 🤗😉
I find it interesting that so many brands equate mature skin with dry skin and make emollient face products. My 55yo skin is combo oily. I detest how radiant , emollient, dewy products feel on my face and makes my t sone even more greasy. To prevent cakiness, i avoid layers of products: primer , foundation , powder, setting spray, etc. . My preference is satin finishes in foundation and cream makeup so that i dont need primers or setting powder.
I call my skin "confused." 😂 I was oily for years, now combo with oily patches and dry patches. I love her advice about not putting foundation all over. I'm 63.
The Jones Road ads are trying to gaslight us. LOL Funny though, Bobbi Brown's telling us to stay away from powders, while Laura Geller's in the other corner with the baked foundation! I definitely prefer Laura Geller - and one of the blushes lasted me four years. 👍
I think the bronzer placement is definitely more youthful. I have always done it this way because I have pretty prominent cheekbones, and this softens my features to where my face looks a little more rounded. I think it looks beautiful on you as well. Thanks for all the great tips, Jen.
My biggest pet peeve, it’s huge, is contouring with bronzer. Even when perfectly applied, it looks splotchy and then topped off with pink blush, to me it’s hideous. There are plenty of contours in existence that do that beautifully and give just a bit of shadow in cheek hollow. I’ve long avoided the YT or IG blush placement simply because my round face said NO! I can actually see the difference in my overall look when blush is placed on the apple of my cheeks. Much more youthful overall. Very good video. I liked the fact that she’s not 12 and isn’t trying to get us to look like we’re 12 either! 😂 Not gonna happen. Just trying to be best we can be at the age we are. Simple but harder than it looks! TYSM Jen!
Ugh. I was just saying to myself I can’t buy anymore makeup, but this brand looks amazing and perfect for my 47 yo vibe. Thank you for this review Jen!!! I appreciate you!
Great video, Jen! Thank you so much. I love her OG creams in the pots! She really knows what works and doesn’t just follow trends and I really appreciate that, especially as I get older. 🥰
QVC sells RMS. They have some great deals. I’m loving these techniques! Im going to pick up both bronzers. I think they are unique enough to add to my collection. And I love that they are developed with mature skin in mind. 🙌🏻
I ordered a few off qvc and came with a brush. But Laura geller has always said to apply the blush the same way rose marie has said. It does lift your face up. These older makeup artists know what they are talking about. ❤
Really great video Jen! You make so much sense as does Rose Marie. Somehow coming from you and seeing it on you makes it more real. So...we can be that pretty too. Thanks for all your hard work, you are such a special person.
Jen you look beautiful as always😊 The colors are perfect! I really want to try RMS Beauty forever! You sold me on it! The placement too!! LOVE!!😍 I can’t wait to do this! Awesome video Jen, Thank you!
Rose Marie gives great tips. I do like her cream cover. I agree. It really is natural looking. I was taught to apply bronzer in the method she shows. A lot of people apply bronzer like a contour. Her Buriti bronzer is gorgeous. I recently purchased a powder bronzer and a powder blush. It’s great to find a bronzer that doesn’t go yellow or orange! I’m in love with both! I watched a Wayne Goss video. He recommended older ladies, which I am, should apply should blush high on the face. He also said to put the blush just below the pupil then bring it up. And, never go below the nostrils! He said the goal was to lift the face. Yes! It works. My next purchase will be one of her cream shadows. I love this video. Thank you for the wonderful tips. You look beautiful.🤩 🤩🤩
I recently discovered discovered RoseMarie!! And, I'm anxiously awaiting my order! I already had some items that were so very close in color that I really couldn't justify a giant purchase. So for now, I'm focusing on her techniques. Most of my purchase is skin care, but I did snag a bundle called "The Best of RMS" which has the buriti bronzer, master radiance, luminizer, a lip2cheek, and mascara. Now I need the concealer... I knew I should have gotten it, but I've got several others I need to finish before restocking. So glad you're reviewing RMS!!
WoW!! You look summery and healthy and, dare I say, younger!! All of the products are so tempting!! btw: I will be watching this video again and again!!! Thanks Jen!!!
I have 5 of her blushes and just received the bronzer in Beachwalk Betty. I’m planning on getting the eye cream in a few colors. This was a fantastic review! I had not seen how she applied these products. I will definitely be using these blushes a lot more. Thank you!
Thank GOODNESS. i never knew qhy people would call so many of these bronzers bronze --they're orange!! RMS is the voice of reason in the herd of all the same.
What beautiful products! I love drugstore so much, but I had to click through and get the creme bronzer!! That color!! Oh my!! Thank you for sharing your new discoveries!
I love Rose Marie Swift! She is amazing! The blushes are definitely my favorite, but I like everything I’ve tried so far. I love their approach to makeup! It’s perfect for more mature skin!
I've never tried bronzer bc I struggle with everything pulling so orange and you've convinced me to try this. I look like a ghost but most bronzer is too warm and this looks promising to give me dimension!
I am so impressed by her blushes and bronzer... Also want to try her shadows as I'm all for one and done. Thank you for acknowledging Rose Marie's techniques so that we can better understand how and where to apply our makeup...I have rosacea and have avoided blushes because i try to cover all my redness. Using just bronzers always left me missing something....I can now try using both.. Blended the right way
I am LOVING the tricks and tips. Between this video and the one where you shared various clips for hooded eyes, I learned SO much. Super excited you’re covering RMS. One of my FAVORITE brands!
I am all about this blush and bronzer placement. I actually just recently figured this out on my own, just going with what seemed better for my face shape, and it’s so validating to see other people doing it!
This was really helpful. I honestly have not changed my technique in years, but I'm going to try some of these tips tomorrow! And that bronzer... it all looked so good 😍
I love this video. The tinted moisturizer from concealer tip is golden. I remember people used to do bronzer this way back in the days and that’s how I like mine.
I always appreciate that you give detailed information about the dry down time and texture. I don't like anything that stays sticky on my face, so your descriptions are always so helpful! 🥰
RMS Beauty is now available at Ulta! Shop the products here: howl.me/cnfbZqiTkWQ

I’ve started applying my bronzer this way because of you, and it’s been a complete game changer for my face. It makes me look more youthful and natural. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I’m 47 and not in denial about my age lol but anything that helps me look refreshed and my best is very welcomed! ❤
Aww yay! I'm so glad!
@@maryeckel9682 yes, from the few videos of Rose Marie's I've now seen, I get the same impressions.
We have BlueMercury here in New Canaan and Westport CT, so I don't have to go far at all. :)
One of my most favorite videos you've done to date...don't get me wrong, I love all your videos!!!! But this one is touching my soul on a different level!!❤ I have her eyelights and now I need the other products before I EVEN consider the ND golden palette. These have become a must have for my more mature dry skin!! Thank you for sharing all of these ❤❤❤
Fabulous. Your skin looks gorgeous. Don't we all love Rose Marie?
I have been seeing Rose Marie? constantly on my feed while watching videos on my phone. I didn’t realize she was the founder of RMS beauty 😂So cool that her products are available on Amazon!!! Her tips and tricks are on point for us more mature women! I love her❣️💯Thanks so much, Jen, for highlighting her makeup collection today. I want all of it!!! 🤗😉
This is a great video, Jen! Loved the format of showing Rose Marie and then demonstrating on yourself. Thank you! Such great tips!
Amen! I am 60 and my skin is just starting to move from oily to combo. Over 50 does not equal dry skin!!
Preach it!!!😊
I call my skin "confused." 😂 I was oily for years, now combo with oily patches and dry patches. I love her advice about not putting foundation all over. I'm 63.
It just happens to a lot of women not all of course. Oils keep you younger so you’re lucky.
The Jones Road ads are trying to gaslight us. LOL Funny though, Bobbi Brown's telling us to stay away from powders, while Laura Geller's in the other corner with the baked foundation! I definitely prefer Laura Geller - and one of the blushes lasted me four years. 👍
Yes I did it with the Nix Buttamilk bronzer and the orange/🧡 peach Buttamilk blush like you did.i love the Nix Buttamilk bronzer and blush
I literally just got my blushes in the mail yesterday. I'm in love! I need the Boardwalk Betty bronzer now, too.
Jen, you’re so right about the bronzer trick! I got lots of compliments today!!! Thank you!!!!! ❤
That strobe eyeshadow is amazing it is self shading like you put a cut crease !
I think the bronzer placement is definitely more youthful. I have always done it this way because I have pretty prominent cheekbones, and this softens my features to where my face looks a little more rounded.
I think it looks beautiful on you as well.
Thanks for all the great tips, Jen.
I love Rosemary. RMS beauty is super pricey in Australia, i would love the uncoverup concealer, i just cant justify it. But she rocks it!!
TYSM Jen!
I find the blush and bronzer combo you described garish. Everyone does it. 🤡
Ugh. I was just saying to myself I can’t buy anymore makeup, but this brand looks amazing and perfect for my 47 yo vibe. Thank you for this review Jen!!! I appreciate you!
I adore Rosemarie from RMS, I don't miss one short her site uploads. ❤
The makeup looks so natural and youthful! Love it!
Loved that you are using the tips she recommended. love learning alternative ways to use makeup. Fabulous idea
My entire makeup look adjusted to some of Rose's suggestions. ❤❤
I’m obsessed with RMS - all of these products give such a gorgeous natural look!
Jen, thank you sooo much for this video. I’m 54 and feel like I can use a lot of these tips. I appreciate you! ❤
Great video, Jen! Thank you so much. I love her OG creams in the pots! She really knows what works and doesn’t just follow trends and I really appreciate that, especially as I get older. 🥰
Just purchased 3 more blushes. I originally purchased a bronzer, then went back and bought another color plus a blush. I am obsessed
I got ready with you this morning and used your/rosemary’s technique and you are absolutely right that it’s flattering on my 58 yo skin! 🎉 thanks
Thank you!
LOVE this video! I've had the RMS blush in french rose in by shop cart on amazon for ages. Thanks for focusing on technique and reviewing this brand!
Thank GOODNESS. i never knew qhy people would call so many of these bronzers bronze --they're orange!! RMS is the voice of reason in the herd of all the same.
I ADORE the rms blushes so so much!! Maidens blush is my hg!
I immediately followed her on TikTok after you mentioned the tip about bronzer. I tried out that technique this morning and it looked so pretty!
These products are all so beautiful, and will definitely be on my wishlist. Right now, however, they are considerably out of my price range.
I am all about this blush and bronzer placement. I actually just recently figured this out on my own, just going with what seemed better for my face shape, and it’s so validating to see other people doing it!
I just bought 3 of the eyelights and I'm eyeing the blush pretty hard
This was really helpful. I honestly have not changed my technique in years, but I'm going to try some of these tips tomorrow! And that bronzer... it all looked so good 😍
I did the bronzer technique this morning with my L'Oreal infallible powder bronzer and the difference was amazing!! Loved it!
I love the idea of concealer and face oil - I have so many that haven’t worked for me!
