    Happy to see that. I always liked reds engines. Here many ppl said is so hard to keep the engine up after break in. Some unexplained stops after Crash or rollovers. Ill keep my corsatec working this year. Next one maybe IS a reds.

      I'm glad i found it. Might be a typical gen2 disease. Now we know that it is most likely the rear ceramic bearing.

      @@kings-racing I value your knowledge so I have question about an engine. What would cause a brand new engine ( ran 4 tanks idling, everything normal) to kill the glow plug after the engine stops? The engine runs perfectly ( idling, responsive, …), it just kills the glow plug after the engine is stopped. This happened 3 times in succession. No contact marks on glow plug or top of piston. Didn’t do this during the initial idling tanks. Once it hit the ground for some easy after idling tanks this started. Bam bam bam, three plugs, and they weren’t all the same brand plug. I run 30%. Could it be a shimming situation with the head button? I totally don’t get what is happening after the engine is stopped by me that makes this strange occurrence happen. I’m kind of ocd when it comes to this stuff and when I can’t figure something out it frazzles my mind. I’ve never experienced any glow plug problems in any engine and this things eats up 3 in a row. Thoughts on the matter? P.S. I love the technical aspect of your channel, that’s what gravitates me to your videos. Hence why I’m asking YOU specifically this question.

      @@kings-racing Wasn’t it TastyB that recently did a take apart and look video on a Reds engine that was a friends and it had a crack in the crankcase just outside of the sleeve? Like a month or month and a half ago? 🤷🏼‍♂

    • @kings-racing
      @kings-racing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikeh.748 that's very strange indeed. If you say the engine is running perfect. It's unlikely that it's caused by the head shimming. You would definitely hear when it's pre detonating. It would get to hot and the plug may loose it's catalytic reaction.
      I asume you stop the engine on the flywheel. Plugging the exhaust could destroy plugs too.
      A bad bearing can cause plugs to die aswell. But if your engine is running perfect this is very strange.
      Yes, Tasty B uploaded another vid on it. It does look like a crack to me, but think it's not al the way through. So it doesn't effect it. His friend had the same issue as i had. I did hear in that video at 5:45 that his rear bearing sounded terrible. Think if his friend has changed the bearing it would run good. He is gonna do that and will keep us posted. Hopefully his issue is solved too

    @a2rc 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Thanks for the fun vid 🩷
    Did you replace only the Rear bearing? With what brand?
    - What are your thought on why a rear bearing by itself, would affect low end tune? Or was it more a rolling resistance issue or what? Interested in your thoughts
    - Could something else or in addition could have been apart of the issue? Like a clogged vacuum passage, etc
    Regardless, she sound good now. Nice work 💯

    • @kings-racing
      @kings-racing  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My pleasure buddy
      Yes, only the rear bearing. I replaced it with a J&T bearing. It could be mechanical resistance, but since there was no issue on a rich setting i suspect a fuel mixture flow disturbance like i said. Fuel getting through the bearing because of to much play. Engine runs lean untill you stop and let it idle. Engine fills up a bit, seals the bearing and runs rich for a moment. Idle drops. Then the seal lets of and starts running lean again. Thereafter seal and rich again and stalls out.
      From corner to corner the idle reacted on how much throttle i gave before it.
      So think this is why my engine showed that behavior. If more guys have the exact same issue i had, i suspect a lot of bearings with a flaw went into gen2 engines or were sold.
      So no magic amount of fuel.😆 Myth busted.

    • @a2rc
      @a2rc 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kings-racing lol 100% there’s no Magic amount of fuel 😂
      - I’m curious to hear over time if others replace the bearing and their issue is fixed too. It’s just an odd thing to affect “tune”.
      We know the bearing is the main support and is critical in that regard but, otherwise the bearing doesn’t interact with the air/fuel flow. It’s trapped in the middle.
      - Just for fun, Take a close look at the bearing Kings. Does the cage look odd or different when compared to other bearings? I agree about the rich setting and loading the bearing idea you said but, also maybe the design of the cage could be creating/adding additional turbulence in the case. Not sure 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Sorry for all the questions. Like you, I love to learn and investigate. It’s a blessing and a curse
      Thanks again for taking the time to reply 🩷

      @@a2rc that expression was to funny. 😂 I said i was gonna keep that in.
      Yes, very curious. I'm pretty sure that's the problem of the engine Tasty B was running from his friend. That bearing sounded even worse than mine. Think this is the case on a lot of 721's. Looking forward to hear from the guys in the comments who had the same issue.
      Maybe that bearing does interact with fuel flow. There isn't the same amount of fuel between the front & rear bearing and in the rest of the crankcase. Just a little bit between front and rear for lubrication and sealing the bearings due vacuum and movement, So a rear bearing could seal. Don't know for sure , just a theory. Maybe even different under pressure in those areas aswell. I don't know.
      Then turbulence or changes in the under pressure might be a factor. That's very hard to tell
      I did compare the bearings. The cage looks similar but the inner ring is more firm on the Swiss Made Reds bearing. Maybe also a bigger edge inside. But that could be a optical illusion.
      The Reds bearing definitely had more play than the J&T bearing.
      I like those questions. That's what's bring us further and learning.
      Thanks buddy. Blessing and curse indeed. I can finally sleep well again now i found the issue lol
