What a cool guy for reel. I bet he brings in all the "fish".
That's same way I do it at Willard Bay when I don't feel like throwing luer after luer after luer. Good video 👍
This guy gets it, I bet he is a mechanic or some other super manly profession.
Awesome! I should have been doing this all along when I lived in CA for striper. I'm sure that it would work--that rubber band trick is cool, thanks tons. I like artificials but I'll never turn my nose up to bait and wait, it can be so effective.
I hope this helps! I also like lures instead of bait! sometimes they want to think about eating instead of re-action strike
didn't know you could catch them like that. Cool video.
This is how I started catching them, now I like to use jerk bates and crank bates.
Nice job. Thanks for the info.
Your welcome!
Nice video and picture. But can I catch them by using lures from the shore? Like a deep diver or a 20g jig or even a jig head?
Where do u buy ur mussels
Thanks!
No Problem!
how long did you wait for the wiper to bite?
Joshua mackley , when i filmed this i waited about 5 minutes. if you dont get a bite in 15 move 50 yards or so.
Thanks I've been tying to catch a wiper for two years and I fond your video thanks alot!
Maby 7 minutes, if you dont get a bite in 15 move about 50 feet away and repeat! good luck!
Thanks. I hope this works for me like it did for you.
Me too! Good luck!
Preciate it!
how do you get to that place
Very cool!
Question, I visited Willard Bay and met the park manager James something... most impersonal, ornery, unhappy human I've ever met. Does Utah State Parks have a special needs park manager program they're trying out or something?
what # line you use?
Ken Greene, i used 10lb line. you could get away with less but i wanted to play it safe.
10 lb i think? the lighter the line use less drag
where on the bay where you? did you have to pay to get in? gps coordinates? Only place i know how to get to the bay is on the far north side on the frontage road.
I dont have cordinates, But i have a google maps location. anywhere along side this beach. Good luck www.google.com/maps/dir/41.3748901,-112.0497451/41.3346075,-112.0350594/@41.3640463,-112.0579963,14.17z
Be nice to video more of the catching action
I work there.
That's awesome!!
