This Nigeria that people are complaining about… there was a time when young Nigerians didn’t listen to Nigerian music because most songs were not good enough. We didn’t just wake up one morning and started listening to Nigerian songs, our musicians made that happen, they went to work. So I’ll tell you, if you put in the work to market your “good songs”, we will listen. As an individual, I experiment with new sounds a lot, I know musicians from Central African Republic, Somalia, Mongolia, and some other unconventional places, but I don’t know much about Cameroon that’s just here. Omor, just sing wetin we like and leave the listening for us, we go run am for you

How can we all get along if some of us are only seeing the successes of Nigerian music through a jealous lense rather than hard work. Nigerians listen to others too but you cannot expect Nigerians to pay to promote others’ musics ok. Music industry is a game of “pay-to-play”

    Una eye go clear!
Stay there and be bickering agout Nigerian music.
A good music sells itself and goes beyond boarders and languages...it doesn't need microphone advertisement.
So long as it is good, it will move people's soul to dance it.

Nigerian Afrobeats Music for now is popular music, not only in Cameroon or west africa or even Africa but the entire world.... If any counry wants to make their music popular; Then they must put in the work that Nigerians have put into their music over the years and not expect patronage based on sentiments....

The guy in red is trying to ask a got-you question. You cannot be jealous of the successes of Nigerian music when your own populace are not helping to push your music or promote your music the way Nigerians do.Successful musical nations are not because of their populations. Jamaicans were successful in Raggae for a long time even though their population is only 3 million. Produce good music and the world will listen to you.

Nobody is successful with a sense of entitlement. Nigerians work hard to be where they are today . There are so many nigerian who are still struggling to make it to the limelight, and yet other neighbouring countries are filling that nigerian must be the one to do their work for them. I live in the uk, but uk musicians go to America to live for their music to be heard.

We fought for our music go gain recognition, look at all the collabo with Ghana, now they think we are a problem because we tried to lift them. Same thing this guy is doing. Play good music, it will sell. Not some average musician just because he is from camaroun and collaborated with a Nigerian. We just need good music!

Awilo longomba is a congolese artist. His music is played like crazy in the Nigerian clubs. Amapiano from south Africa is is played a lot in Nigerian clubs. Songs like Terminator and Good sin and many more from Ghana is popular in the club. It is your job to promote your work not anybody. When Ghana decided to play Ghana only, it didn't stop Naija music from blowing up even more, because these guys are working hard to give you back to back bangers. They always try to do better than their last song. Rema is a typical example, he took a risk and he switched it up. He never asked for any favours he just makes sure he is improving his craft consistently and promoting smartly. That is the secret guys.

Unfortunately, the cameronia guy, doesn't even have the right understanding of the music business, One spot is not sufficient to judge an entire country.

Chioma, this guy brought has refuse to learn and has rejected every avenue to improve on standards that can help the 🇨🇲 industry.
When a man is stock in his ways such person is repulsive to growth.

The Cameroonian guy is not making sense. We supported Awilo, Brenda Fassie , Shabba Ranks, and other great artists. Cameroonian Artistes should improve on their contents like the Ghanians and see that Nigerians will mess with you. Stop hating!
