Adrian, very cool to see/hear your awarenesses and authenticity. Thanks for supporting the GTD great practice methodology. Totally pure GTD. Thanks, David.
Many thanks David for the support !
Thanks, Adrian. Once you feel things are out of your head, how often would you then do another mind sweep? Thanks
Hi Mrs T, the best practice would be to not let it fill up again and as such you'll need some capturing tools to capture the thoughts the moment they occur. As I am extremely lazy, I learned to have my capturing tools everywhere I go : I use Braintoss on my phone, a wallet-notepad and notepads in every room of my home/office. This gives me the freedom to capture everything that has my attention outside of my head.
That said, I regularly miss certain things, resist noting other things down because noting it down makes them real and every now and then wrongfully believe that I'll remember to buy that pesto on my way home.
=> For all this situation I have the weekly mindsweep which I do during the weekly review!
Let me know how that works for you !
Thanks so much, Adrian. I like the idea of having a variety of capture tools in various places. I am slightly scared of doing a full brain-dump as who knows how much there will be lurking in the back of my mind, but I know I will feel better once it is done. Wish me luck! Michele
