Oh my goodness, I wish I had these tips when I still worked in an office! Constant distractions were actually one of the BIGGEST reasons I wanted to work from home!
@@AdrianaGirdler My biggest tip is to have a non-negotiable block of time to work, every day, and make sure your family knows about it, so that they can let you work uninterrupted during this time. I also turn my phone during this time.
I'm such a believer in writing down my to-do's as soon as I think of it. It relieves stress in the moment and ensures that I remember to come back to it later! Thanks for sharing these tips on how to avoid distractions at work. Time to get focused and get more done.
So great that you've already implemented this tip! Thanks for sharing your experience with how to avoid distractions at work. Glad this enables you to get more done. Cheers!
Absolutely loved these tips! I’ve found that if I don’t let people know that I’m in the zone, they would definitely try to distract me. My phone is at ‘Do not disturb’ mode at all times and my friends and family know that I will get back to them when I’m free. One of the best ways to beat distractions is also to put my phone away or even in the other room :) Great video!
Thanks for sharing. Such a good idea to just let people know that you need that block of time...free from distractions...to get done what you need to get done. Love that Power Hour!
Excellent news, KT Lifestyle! I write everything down too. It only takes a moment but things are less likely to slip through the cracks. Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
O man this video is for me! Working from home it's sometimes easy to get distracted and it's something I am ALWAYS working on improving upon. I totally agree on the "who you hang out with" part. We are so influenced by those around us! This video is awesome really engaging. You are great on camera!
Absolutely, Krista. Working at home or even in an office, there are so many distractions trying to keep us off focus. And the 'who you hand out with" - what an impact. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment. Cheers!

Hi, your explanation on handling distraction was exactly what I am am facing.. However I have one situation. My people ask me doubts and I have to support them while I have my part of work. So eventually the work i have got to do suffers
I hope this video has given you some ideas on how to handle the distractions you are facing. It can be difficult when you have a team to support to get your own work done. I would suggest booking slots of time during the day where you are not available to anyone and let them all know that you are not to be interrupted during these times. You can you something like the power hour sign I have created that will let everyone know when you are and aren't available. I am attaching the link so you can see what the signs look like.
