My experience of listening to Abida Parveen ji live - both times in London and cried all the way through her performance, her singing transcends you to 7th heaven..... and now this is on loop when I go for my solitude quest (long walks) washing my soul with the continuous stream of tears.
Naseebo Lal getting the recognition she deserves. Her struggle has been real, unlike Abida Jee, she has always had her nay sayers and to witness her side by side with Abida Parveen, commanding her own is amazing.

Naseebo lal has such a powerful voice, good to see she is getting the right song and right lyrics. Abida Jee has heavenly voice. Coke Studio came with a masterclass to start the new season.
SOUL THERAPY. I think most listeners are at loss for words to convey the feelings that have erupted like a volcano. It has opened the inner space to feel more compassion and empathy for ourselves. The lava spilling out is a container full of emotions carrying the stuff happening beneath the surface. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the overall production. Naseebo Lal and Abida Parveen are soul containers wrapped in spiritually and laced with divinity. Xulfi and team have taken this to an unprecedented level. A lot was covered by you and yet it seems there so much left to unwrap. Any thoughts on the choir? In my view it bonded the mind and body of the amazing lyrics and injected it with a sense of happiness and well-being.

Xulfi mentioned in "the making of" video for Tu Jhoom that each song this season will be shot on a separate/different set.
Raqs-e-Bismil is not exactly conventional dancing. It's inherently Sufi at its core which is why it was added to the performance to add a further element of depth to the lyrical mysticism.

Raqs-e-Bismal literally means the dance of the dying.
Before the beheading of someone big iron pans were heated red enough to burn anything that come in contact with it. So as soon as one executioner beheads the enemy of the king, the other executioner would put the pan on neck, burning and closing the wound. Thus due to the pressure of flowing blood the body would dance. Showed to the family of the executed for the pleasure of the king.

Everyone talks about xulfi abida g and naseebo laal. But the real gem in this song is ADNAAN DHOOL, he is such an underrated in all aspect of song, and very happy for ABDULLAH SIDDIQUI, first time he is getting the proper chance.

Zesshan Pervez is the guy behind the direction, he's a band call Sajid and Zeeshan, and the duo created some really great songs over the years. BTW Zeeshan has been with the CS since season 1.

When it comes to playing with music and doing experiments musically, Xulfi is King! he has proven himself from EP to Coke Studio Season 14.
And here comes the only Reaction that could have done justice to the grandeur of this song. First thing I did right after hearing the song on Friday evening, was DM of the request to Jyoti. If music is anything to unite the universe, this is it.. A masterpiece indeed. Looking forward to your reactions for all the tracks of this season. God bless!
So that little interaction video was even more meaningful because of the fact that Naseebo lal was never considered to be a big stage singer, she sings those funky little songs which you hear on tractors and trucks, that was her fan base. So the so called civilised ones always downgraded her even after that PSL anthem last year she was backlashed severly. Abida g just set an example for younger lot on how to treat legends be it of another genre. LEGEND not just on the field off the field as well.

It is surely the first time i saw Abida ji smiling, it just felt like they were feeding off of each other, the high pitched controlled delivery of Naseebo ji with the unique freestyle free flowing style of Abidaji with the always picking and resonating choir was amazing. The reaction was great and very detailed, thank you for acknowledging the lyrics and their impact, its adnan and hasrat sahab merged into one, it made it the pickup and at the same time let go of your emotions kind of a tune, I've cried several times already. The new feel is due to the team of Xulfi, the youth brought that flavor, the bts and making videos are awsome as well and I think every song will be celebrated in its unique way and those extra videos that you two always asked for in the past are there now,. Literally one song is one entire episode and because none of them are covers they deserve the thorough view from start to end. There is so much more to say but its a great start to the season and I'm writing this after the second song so go check it out as well and also do the reaction videos on the journey videos, specially the one with Eva B. Keep enjoying and making these videos I love watching your reactions, sorry Jo Aahad wasn't there but I'm sure he will appear at some point this season :)
I've been to her live concert. She just takes you to a different dimension. Her singing is a message which directly hits your heart.
This is one song that we all should listen to and feel its dept. Its lyrics are specially written and beautifully preform by our Pakistani legends for each and every one of us in this world. Thank you Coke Studio for this glorious masterpiece.

Just finished watching the reaction............watched Tu Jhoom early morning Toronto time yesterday, and there was only one reaction from a Turkish singer, I was crying, and that singer was also crying without understanding a word of Punjabi/Urdu poetry. The song has hit almost 4 million views in 2 days, and that proves only one thing, that we are all the same, no difference, no creed, no race, no religion, no caste, no country, nothing can separate humans and derail humanity. Coming back to what are we witnessing is aptly said in this reaction, that we are all blessed to be in this time, in this realm to listen and see the contribution of all these geniuses on one single platform. This has never happened before, so thanks to the technology for bringing us closer. Also a trillion trillion thanks to all the music lovers out there, specially Jyoti and Shrutz in really praising this song, which can not be praised in any way. Now ending with a caveat, how Xulfi can beat this benchmark which he has set himself. I will be really surprised if he does..................but no wait...........miracle can happen
Brilliant song rendered beautifully by Abida Ma'am and Naseebo Lal. Lyrics were just out of world and depth was unfathomable.
But more emphasis on visuals like set and dance was bit alarming. I pray they don't make it another bollywood extravaganza.
It is kinda hard to explain it to somebody born out of the culture. The setting was to uplift the song, to give it a fitting environment.

I have been listening to this song since it's release. Listening it again with you girls made it all the more special for me. It was such a genuine and heartfelt reaction masha'Allah!. The theme for the season is phenomenal. Bringing the Gen Z to sing with the legends. It's my observation that any piece of music that brings tears to Jyoti's eyes is not an ordinary thing. And "TU JHOOM", is one such piece of music. I have watched a clip where Xulfi can be seen crying watching the video of the song. By describing the indescribable experience, you people have made the song immortal for me. I feel that you people seem to stand in good relation with all that is beautiful, with all that is fruitful. May Allah suffice you.

Abida Parveen is a vocal magician, specially when it comes to Sufi music style. She sang some beautiful ghazals as well but her forte is Sufi music.

Applause for both.Abida g is a living legend no words to describe her voice but M really happy here for Naseebo Lal g as earlier in my opinion her voice has been never used as it should be, cheap lyrics, unsuitable music and many negatives. But for me this is the real start for her and a real touch of spirituality her voice covered is addition to a new chapter in Pakistan Music and she should be now remembered with this masterpiece..
