This' boutta be a long one, but I needed it, thanks for making this video I stand by everything you said. I personally never played no BT games in my childhood, so this game was my introduction to this whole verse. Had to learn every mechanic from scratch when I bought the game in December ; and I remember being so flustered at the beginning when I used to get my ahh handed to me by the easy mode CPU. Fast forward a couple days pass and I was on my grind, trying to plat the game, the last 2 trophies I needed were the 3 and 100 online matches. So I plugged the ethernet cable in and started playing online - the cheese-fest was unbearable. After 20 or so bouts I put the controller down and I deadass left the console on all night just to get the 100 fights needed. After that I successfully attained 100% completion, but that felt cheap, unearned. So I told myself that I would get better, and get to Z-rank using no cheese. With that new goal in mind, I studied the game - learned how certain tactics worked, the characters used to get easy wins, the meta, the patches, all that in order to know how to counter it. Hopped on DP battles, played a 4 men team (Bardock, Buff Roshi, Adult Gohan and Goku Super) with items on and just pushed through, trying to learn and have fun while I ranked up. After 13 days I finally hit Z, but the game didn't feel fun, it was too stressful to fight against Dr. Wheelos, fusions, Videls, Broly..
So I hopped on singles with Bardock, thought it would be better that way, and in a sense it was because I was playing low ranks. Got to B3 in one sitting, then discovered the MUI Goku verse. So I played two of my fave higher DP characters, SSJ4 Goku and Z Gogeta, throwing hands and having fun while punishing the spammers with Gogeta's teleport super. Got to S3 that way and then the DLC came out. I naturally played base Gohan and met with the craziest Beast Gohan "Wide Open" spammers. That morning I lost like 8 matches in a row and ranked down to A5 - I went straight in the lab, using beast Gohan against a Z-ranker friend of mine (we met on the game and clicked as we liked to throw hands and have fun). After a long session I knew everything there was to know about Beast, hopped on ranked and got to Z in one sitting against other Beast Gohans, MUI Gokus and Gogeta 4s. It felt fulfilling but I still was not satisfied with my playstyle - I was still dropping combos, lacked defensive abilities and all. So know I just be playing Quick Player Matches, trying to improve and become the best version I can be on this game. But more important I feel like the best thing is to learn while having fun, meet other great players and train with them, that's all we have. Despite all of its flaws, this is, at its core, a great game if we're just willing to play with humility and learn about its mechanics.

Community wants the game to be a live service game to die faster just like Multiverse apparently... Devs are working hard to make this a reality, community wants the game more competitive, devs are giving that, community want changes in gameplay to be less offensive, devs are giving, community wants more online shenanigans, devs are giving, community not happy still, devs giving up and closing the servers, 15 years later community consider Sparking Zero a good game that never reached the full potential the time it was released... Seems pretty clear to me all these events happening.... When they were making this, devs had a vision, to be like the Sparking series, a game unbalanced, kinda a bit local, but playing more online, because most people don't play local anymore and essentially trying to be as faithful as possible to the original source material and Sparking in general... The day 1 version devs delivery all the promises, but the competitive aspect of the community, the ones that play Legends pvp all day was upset, while the minority casual who enjoyed the game for what it was, was losing the battle.... Do you see why this game is very similar to Multiverse now?
Excellent comparison. I cam only hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as multiversus. Either way I see this game being something i play for the rest of my life ngl. Unless they come out with a 5th installment of the BT/Sparking series
Personally I enjoy the game, couldn't really do much online partly cause it seem like my connection acts like it's having a heart attack. My own real criticisms is, the lack of offline content, I enjoyed the Episode Battles and some of the twists some had, played some custom battles but that mode isn't a 1-size fits all solution. I want a survival mode, or a tower climb arcade ladder, not just for the sake that the old games had it, but for the experience of having new ways to experience the game in different conditions. Like maybe those who can't vibe with online MP could find their fun in an endless fighting mode, which could passively help them get use to the game on their terms, and experience other characters they normally wouldn't pick, just by having the chance to fight against them.
@@AmbassadorPlays No offense btw you are cool. I liked your video I do agree with some ridiculous complaints people be having but I think mines are fair in my opinion.
The game has gotten better for me, so the complaints are working. And now we have splitscreen 2player which they were saying was gonna be too hard to do (should’ve had it at release). Two things can be true. The game was half baked and needed work, but also the players are toxically exploiting the mechanics/bugs and youtubers are broadcasting it to other potential cheesers. Everyone is at fault, but the truth is the developers could’ve prevented a lot of this by letting it cook more or releasing a beta before taking ppls money.
Yup. Everyone is surely at fault, that's irrefutable. I hope they continue to listen to the "sensible" complaints of the community in order to make the game an even better product than it currently is.
I still feel its mostly the the mechanics and lack of content people have a problem with, the characters not really an issue, very few at least but atm i definitely prefer to play single player than online currently, game just not hitting as good as i thought it would for me, ill start again when a couple of patches go through
For sure. There's so much more they could have done with cosmetics, accessories etc. Often times it's the little details that make a HUGE difference. Especially for the real fans that love the franchise of Dragon ball
Bro you are speaking 1000% facts in this video and I love sparking zero it’s a good game no game is perfect I hate how people act how a game should be perfect in order to like it
Been playing Sparking Zero for 140 hours now, and I've had a blast with it since day one. But I'm a strictly solo player. I know very well how ranked goes in these kinds of games, and I'm not wasting time on getting frustrated. Custom Battle is *more* than enough extra content for me. Hell, with Sony price hiking every couple months, online is a rip off at this point anyway.
😂😂😂. Ranked quite literally is not a true "ranked" system. I can't tell you how many BUMMY Z ranks I've destroyed and then on the other hand, had some of the best fights of my life with B and A ranks. I might have to try out those custom battles too bro which one do you recommend?
@AmbassadorPlays Well, I don't play other people's stuff, but I like making special challenges. Kinda like those Galaxy Mode missions from Raging Blast 2. Or that fight with Cell at the end of Budokai 1. I need to recreate that actually.
Bro the problem is the lack of game modes and overall stuff to do. Look at the past Budokai games, there were an INSANE amount of things to do compared to sparking zero. Nobody really cares about glitches because that can be fixed with a patch, we need stuff to do instead of story or online fights
Im in full agreement. Its pretty unacceptable considering this is a continuation of the Budokai Tenkaichi series yet they somehow have less than they previously did. Make it make sense Bandai.
Everything your explaining just means they suck at their job. You can't break a feature by fixing things if you know what your doing, and they clearly don't care what they are doing
I hear you but it's a lot easier said than done man. I think it's easy for us to have your view from the outside looking in but I'm sure there's a lot that we don't understand in regard to fixing bugs and how it inadvertently effects adjacent features related to the "bugs"
@@AmbassadorPlays Yeah, I get what you mean. But there are tons of games that have the same combat as dragon ball z that have existed for the past 15 or more years. Even the naruto games feel more like dragon ball z games at times.
@@AmbassadorPlays By now they should have made a game that does more than what the dragon bal z games do, especially considering the fact that they made like 10 dragon ball z games. And none of them really embody combat and dragon ball z in a way that could be taken seriously as a television series that's designed around martial arts and power scaling.
Yeah bruh people complain about literally every game after maliciously abusing 'glitches' in the game. The issue are the gamers more so than the game creators. There is only so much you can do when gamers will always find a Meta they'll complain about at the same time.
I have an exploit that I have found and figured out that I have seen people try to mimic but not truly grasp it has to do with saibamen and chotzu because those characters spawn in two skill gauge from the start they are able to get their special ability ie afterimage if you have multiple saibamen on your team you can switch out spam after image and get a free after image without spending two skill gauge it is truly cheesy and I am the first
SHEESH! That's deep bro congratson finding that. I hope ypu do the right things and NOT use that exploit tho lmaooooo. Unless it's to bring awareness to the issue to get it patched. Would you mind if i made a video using this strat in hopes to get it patched?? I'll give you credit bro bro
I said this when the game dropped, look I'm glad a dragon ball game is mainstream. With that being said I was terrified that the fighting game community would do exactly what they're doing right now. To be frank, it's a dragon ball game so there absolutely will be broken characters and power disparities and that's fine. I don't know that we need to see a super balanced dragon ball game viable enough to make it to EVO or something ridiculous like that. If gamers want a dbz game that comes close to perfect balancing play fighterz Z because that's as close as we'll get which is fine in my book. (BTW, I know fighterz isn't perfectly balanced but I hope people get my point.)
Spot on, bro. At the end of the day this game, in my opinion, is maximized when you take your live and appreciation for the masterpiece that is Dragon ball (by Akira Toriyama RIP) and implement that into the game. Theres so many characters to choose from all with different movements This game wasn't made to be played at EVO or at a professional level, and Bandai knows that, heck, they even said it flat out practically. The problem mainly lies in the content creators with either unrealistic expectations or promoting the broken features in krder to gain an edge... If only we as creators could be better at finding the optimism instead of harping on the negative It will ruin the mind of not only the creator, but a majority of their viewers mindsets to. Rinse and repeat this cycle a few more times and next thing you know the game is dead. Not me tho brothers
@@AmbassadorPlays I couldn't have said it better myself ( RIP Akira Toriyama, you're missed) I'm too pumped for more Daima stuff like kid Vegeta (whom I'll be maining henceforth 🤣). We should all just have fun and pray we get even more fan service anime games steeped in love and compassion for the medium. This game is ground breaking in that way because honestly this is one of the first times in a long time an anime isn't niche, that can't go underappreciated. 💯
😂😂😂. That is true man that is true. We complain complain complain but we're giving the game company what they want. Money and numbers lol. Complain complain yet get on the game to stream it to hundreds of people lol
My problem with the game rn is def the tracking bugs and ki blasts have absolutely wonky tracking now up or down left or right god forbid I lift an arm like super buu I get they were mad annoying before but they still are kinda mad spammable, the sparking “buff” you mentioned, and the player base, games just turn into cringe if someone catches a slight sniff of cheese in PLAYER match and it varies for everyone so dare if I try to go into sparking its counterplay city I get it but it rarely gets to that its insta new gohan, roshi with fast fall now 😂, teen gohan, and ginyu meanwhile im showing radits, nappa, vegeta, and bardock really cool.
Sheeesh bro. That's a lot of facts in one paragraph lol. I definitely agree with the tracking issue too man. It's pretty ridiculous right now especially given the new vanish spam meta that's going on. It's one of those reasons that show how unwise it would be to actually play this game competitively with money on the line.
I feel you homie. I see what you mean. I just hope the game last longer than DBX2 lol.. they milk the shyt out of it i dropped the game because cheater and ect..
Oof. We can only hope so. I'm still finding ways to have a lot of fun in this game. Mainly from playing my favorite dragon ball characters of all time like ssj4 Vegeta despite how unequipped they are lol
Okay I'm starting to see a new trend attacking this community that does deserve it btw while saying the devs didn't ruin the game I get it but no budokai 3 has infinites you can find, these are hard as hell to pull off because the point here is if they didn't make a bad gameplay decision to begin with like with skill counts or androids and more these people wouldn't have anything to use they wouldn't have any complainers to be toxic toward and they probably wouldn't even be on the game anymore at least online let's focus on the part that'll actually make the game good while fixing the problem and that's keeping the company that has our money accountable for their actions
I agree. Unfortunately, I think you may have missed the overarching theme. I am not dismissing the game developers' lack of implantation im regards to the features Beloved by bt3 plans. I agree that it makes NO SENSE to remove great features from the previous game that had positive features. HOWEVERn the point of this video is to encourage people that the product is already out, and we've already spent money on it, there is NOTHING we can do about that im regards to getting our money back. So, although we know the game is very flawed and are pushing for necessary patches, etc. It is not wise to continue bashing EVERYTHING about the game that you do not like because that will lead to your energy being drained just by thinking of the game. The game will no longer be fun. The audience watching the cintent is well aware of the issues, and due to the continuous harping of the creator, this may lead to dissatisfaction overall. Everybody starts to lose. Instead, I believe the wisest thinking to do is live with the things about the game we don't like and hope that they fix it while making real "noise" about GAMEBREAKING bugs and glitches All the while, we are still ensuring that we fund ways to personally enjoy the most current videogame adaptation of the series we connected to as children. I hope this provides you with a better understanding of my overarching theme within the video, as it is difficult to communicate everything effectively within 20 minutes, lol.
Havnt really played that much lately was dissapointed with dlc and havnt really played the Broly mission because I dont know what im playing for. Game was awesome when it first came out but gets boring quick.
Let's spar. I'm not going to say "get good" cause I don't wanna come off condescending. (That's the too long didn't read). In a fighting game, the goal is to win. Are your enemies weak for relying on tried methods that ensure success? If a fighting game is any good, players get good enough to FILTER out the casuals that need cheese to win. You're not cheesing pro's, cheesing only works on locals and scrubs aka people who don't really like the game. Kiddy shits and cute girls doing popular things, not real dogs. You have to have that dog in you to enjoy competitive fighting games. You have to really like a fighting game to put in that pt required to genuinely persevere. Emphasis on persevere cause winning is one thing, every scrub has his day. True fighting enthusiasts embrace the skill gap and everything that comes with it. "Relying on exploits and the meta" is nerd talk for not being very good. Button mashers and spamming. You can't blame your opponent for beating you, just enjoy the game enough to learn how to not succumb to literal scrubs that are only "abusing exploits and the meta". Excel enough at the fundamentals where cheesy strats have no impact. And NEVER player hate and confuse someone perfecting in-game strategies with "cheesing." 9/10 a gamer that runs around saying "cheese" is cheese. Booboo cakes. Yeah, that win was a lil corny but yk what I appreciate you for teaching me something that can improve my game. I'm not going to get mad at the """cheeser""" cause 1.) Im having fun and 2.) IF I wanna get mad, get mad that I didn't know better but than give myself a pat on the back right after cause now I do. Is he cheesy for spamming or are you cheesy for letting it happen? There is ALWAYS something you can do. I pride myself on my Pokemon and Tekken abilities, all the cheese, spam, and """abusing the meta""" (which makes no sense because "the meta" refers to the most popular method of play. Claiming people rely on the meta """to heavily""" is a redundant statement that shows your lack of agency on the subject of competitive video games) will never allow a bonafide scrub to best me. Win a couple of rounds luckily? Sure. However, my ego does not allow me to lose whole sets to people who suck at the game. It's my special egoist ability. Raise your power level and adapt.
@@Iglatinpeyi get what you saying, but it can also take the fun away. I’ve destroyed plenty of cheesers and had way more fun losing to good competition. I wanna win, but I also wanna enjoy a good fight and improve.
So much complaining from content creators and regular players who spends 100+ hours playing the game . Majority of these players will find something to complain about & negative influence others. To be fair , Sparking Zero has become more competitive than fun . To be honest, this game benefits content creators or regular players platforms more than casual players . Im tired content creators nitpicking the game in order to satisfied their game play .
The problem is people want to just win and not get good at the game to have fun and win cuz the game is more fun when u learn how to actually play around and control the character

I’m only upset that Bandai straight up lied to us about costumes and also the lack of maps.
Lied how?
Yeah I'm curious as to how they lied too. But you're justified in your disappointment bro. Def need more fits hands down, no question lol.
@@AmbassadorPlays No offense btw you are cool. I liked your video I do agree with some ridiculous complaints people be having but I think mines are fair in my opinion.
@@heavy5013 read my reply
Speaking facts, all these pros and content creators complaing about these new fighting games almost daily
Bro you are speaking 1000% facts in this video and I love sparking zero it’s a good game no game is perfect I hate how people act how a game should be perfect in order to like it
Amen, brotha. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you so much for watching
Nice video bro we need more people to speak up
Preciate you brother. I'm glad you can see where i'm coming from. Congrats on 1k my guy, HUGE accomplishment bro proud of you.
@@AmbassadorPlaysthanks dawg 💯
@@NineNovem i see. Okay thanks bro
@ Finally someone sees what I’m seeing. My favourite game mode was the “sim dragon” mode from BT3. Hopefully we get something new like that 🙏
I just need the combos to stop dropping.
One of the most annoying bugs from. Very costly
The problem with DBSZ - and you can take this as gospel - Beast Gohan players
😂😂😂
This last patch kind of took out some of that “playing dbz” element you mentioned. Other than that I was having a blast.
If mf would stop cheesing everything. Like just have fun. You don’t have to use the meta everything.
It's unfortunate because it's always gonna be people that go out theory way to cheese too smh
Unrelated but I saw your pic in a chat last night and I totally thought you were rocking a giant mustache
Whaaaaat lol
Theres so many characters to choose from all with different movements
This game wasn't made to be played at EVO or at a professional level, and Bandai knows that, heck, they even said it flat out practically. The problem mainly lies in the content creators with either unrealistic expectations or promoting the broken features in krder to gain an edge...
If only we as creators could be better at finding the optimism instead of harping on the negative
It will ruin the mind of not only the creator, but a majority of their viewers mindsets to.
Freedom of speech is all I have to say. We can complain if we want to but smart people just stop giving these devs money and delete the game.
Sparking Zero is fun but there’s clearly a lot of content missing from the game. Both can be true.
I agree bro. No reason they shouldn't have outfits that were previously ij BT3 for example
Okay I'm starting to see a new trend attacking this community that does deserve it btw while saying the devs didn't ruin the game
I get it but no budokai 3 has infinites you can find, these are hard as hell to pull off because the point here is if they didn't make a bad gameplay decision to begin with like with skill counts or androids and more
these people wouldn't have anything to use they wouldn't have any complainers to be toxic toward and they probably wouldn't even be on the game anymore at least online
let's focus on the part that'll actually make the game good while fixing the problem and that's keeping the company that has our money accountable for their actions
Your story of sparking Zero is probably a lot of people's story. Unfortunately mannn
I think it’s a great game. I just don’t see the point of singles ranked when it’s so unbalanced.
couldn't agree more
It’s the weak community who don’t want to train to get better and rely on exploits , cheese, and the meta
Indeed. Couldn't agree more my guy
The game might never be perfect but if they have good players test the game before they launch a patch 90% of easy fix could be implemented
great point tbh
See I knew I would find a like minded individual from this video
Here i am brother😂. Much love thank you so much for watching the video
Its amazong on PC but boring on consoles lol they need more stages and more shit to do
Im looking to get a PC in the next 3 months. Can't wait to experience it over there
So much complaining from content creators and regular players who spends 100+ hours playing the game . Majority of these players will find something to complain about & negative influence others. To be fair , Sparking Zero has become more competitive than fun . To be honest, this game benefits content creators or regular players platforms more than casual players . Im tired content creators nitpicking the game in order to satisfied their game play .
So what is your solution?
@@AmbassadorPlays
matters well be a Sparking Zero 2 a well balanced game for all players.
The problem is people want to just win and not get good at the game to have fun and win cuz the game is more fun when u learn how to actually play around and control the character
