    Once a week water changes my man. Maybe a few 25% ones to start off the drop to 10%. The science is as close to proven on water changes as it can be.
    Also, set up a cheap hospital/quarantine "tank". $10 10g bin from home depot, a $15 cheap heater off Amazon and some pvc pipe for fish hides, msybe an air stone. Can be very cheap and can save your fish from ich.
    Ideally you'd make a "nicer" hospital tank, but the above beats nothing.
    But 10% water changes weekly, clean up crew and control feedings will solve a good portion of the algea.

    I have phosguard in my filter . It does great for hair algae i have none in my tank .. do you check the tds of your rodi water

      Heading to get phosguard now because of this comment! How would you recommend I use it in a HOB? And I don’t check tds, they might be high from new water jugs

      @@505Aquatics yes just give it a rinse first and them throw it in the back of your HOB in a media bag make sure you do the correct dose .. its always done really well in my tanks hope you have some good results its not instant will take a while

    You need water change and install UV sterilizer
