The MG Hector Plus is a 6-seater compact crossover SUV produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) and MG Motor India. It is also called Chevrolet Captiva, Baojun 530 and Wuling Almaz. In Auto Expo 2020, MG Motor India introduced the MG Hector Plus as the three-row variant of the Hector. The Hector Plus features a new fascia look with new bumpers, headlights and taillights. Other global car and other automotive brands such as in electric like Tesla Inc because of import duty Tesla price has been doubled , so it is a challenge to make a bugdet friendly car for India with features such as autopilot . Any way one thing is for sure. MG HECTOR CVT AT PETROL is a heavy / fully loaded/ huge vehicle which can’t be compared with Creta, Harrier, seltos, Taigun which often the TH-camRS Are doing.
Customer is getting next level vehicle with hardly a difference of approx. 3 lacs compared with the above mentioned vehicles for eg.
It’s an SUV with a blend of EUROPEAN DNA 🧬 with Chineese Captain ship which is very much needed to sustain today’s competition. I feel It’s is a nice combination to sustain the market in terms of pricing and also further development of electronics/ software, where the Chinese are good in doing with less cost with out throwing much burden on end users unlike European manufacturers. This is the reason where the Once upon a time Automobile Hero’s like Ford , VW , Honda etc are struggling a lot to launch and sustain the price market like in India so this is the reason I say the Chinese collaboration is needed to give tough fight for Korean car makers. I have explained so much about Chinese collaboration here only as my answer to some YOU TUBERS who are mentioning this car as a CHINESE CAR to promote Negative Propaganda but they don’t know how this CHINESE CAR WILL do wonders in the coming price market
Wonderful CVT , 18” tyres , 2 nd row ample legroom, 10.4 Infotainment with Internet inside are a very to mention. Huge boot, can be converted into bedroom on long night drives . It’s like getting a LIMOUSINE ! , for the price. Inspite of wonderful mileage.

I bought hector plus sharp automatic petrol in nov 2020....I would like to raise one biggest pain point i.e VERY VERY POOR MILEAGE IN PETROL VARIANTS. mileage in diesel variants is fine. It gives me 7-8kmpl in city max 8-9 even though i drive very smooth. On highway it gives 12-13kmpl @ average 100 kmph. jiske liye mileage ek concern hai wo bilkul bhool jaye....baaki it’s all good. Aur haan automatic ka waise bhi thoda kam rehta hai but itta kam nhi hona chahiye 😰
Mere paas manual petrol hybrid hai mujhe city mei 10-11 and highway pe 15-17 kmpl mil raha hai😎
