I own a Hector 2020 it is amazing, good looking and fantastic performer. After minor updates in 2021 now MG has taken things to a next step in looks, interior and giving hector Level 2 ADAS which is super cool. Now the rival game with Xuv 700 and safari is going to get strong... Proud to own a Hector
But still tata & Mahindra takes the win coz they are indian brands & MG is an Chinese brand

This new design and all upgraded tech is awesome. Surely makes MG Hector stand out of the crowd - it’s build quality is top notch, definitely better than Korean counterparts who sell substandard products in India for the same car that they sell in Europe. Not MG. It’s a good thing MG’s designs are still made in Birmingham UK and production in India and Thailand. SAIC, the parent company has tie ups with Volkswagen AG, so they use same parts. Good job MG!

automatic indicator unless used responsibly, it might turn into dangerous.
Indicators is best when turned on before you take a turn, not while turning. You dont want to surprise vehicles behind
Please dont misinform, dont contribute to fatalities. Its an emergency feature.. not that it means you dont have to turn indicators on.

Indicator is used to indicate you are about to turn way before you even turn.After turning your wheel and indicator pops up is useless and dangerous

But next gen looking superb
If you have budget 26 lakhs Instead of buying XuV700 go for MG hector top end amazing car
Somehow its a new FAD to have white lights. But yellow lights are always better. Coz they dont blind the driver coming from the opposite direction incase you are travelling on a single road without divider.

These days more emphasis is given on tech which won't be used much later on. I have driven the 140 bhp model and it does lack the power and feel while driving. The steering was super light which was not a comforting thing at all while navigating this big car. Engine, suspension and build are the things everyone would love after initial 1-3 months of tech showoff and this is what is lacking in a lot 20-30 lac cars these days. In this way kudos to Indian car makers like Tata and Mahindra to give punchier engines and superb build quality.
Totally disagrees with you. Hector is far premium and best in the segment. Their features and tech are 1st in the segment. Where no cars compare with it. Yeah, but it can copy from mg in the next facelift.
@@rupalsingh2457 buddy I think u need to re-read my comment before getting so emotional about Hector. I said emphasis these days is more on tech and not engine performance and drivability. I would urge you to drive a 170 bhp engine and hector 140 bhp petrol engine. If you still don't feel any difference then can't argue much with a fanboy 😊
Depend on the people’s need, you seem to be like an enthusiastic and adventurous driver so you would prefer a powerful car like tata or Mahindra . But there are people who gave emphasis to luxury and features, and for them hector is a great car for what it’s worth
@@Rudra-2306 Oh yes I am an enthusiast driver and put my money on durability, build quality and longevity rather than bigger touch screen and short term benefits. That's how I function. U r right there r ppl who don't really invest so much thought into all this while buying a car. I frankly felt not good seeing current car's interior quality and overall price package. That said Tata and Mahindra are no biggies in giving superb long lasting quality as well.

Rachit Uncle , Eco Mode was introduced in CVT version in the old Hector itself, DCT did not have any mode .
So its carry forwarded by the new CVT too

Refrain from consulting with @motoroctane to take any advice on buying a new car. I was waiting for the Hector facelift, but when I consulted with Moiz from the Motoroctane team, I was told to go ahead and purchase the current model, and I should not wait for the facelift as MG would sell both the models side by side and the facelift will cost me 28-30 lakhs on-road. He sounded confident; considering my budget, which was 25 lakhs, I trusted them and booked the top model MG Hector 2021 Sharp Diesel and got the delivery in just 12 days. But just after 15 days found out that this wasn’t the case, and MG had discontinued the old model. My car is only a month old, but it’s an older model. On top of that, MG is giving a discount of 35K on the older models. On the bright side, I saved close to 100K, but I would have paid that amount over the new features and bold front grill design.

There is some miscommunication. MG will continue with both the Hectors. The discount is on the BS 6 Phase 1 option only - not for the product. So the future line up will be Hector regular and the new Hector on the high end trim that will be much higher in pricing. All car brands who have extra stock will look at clearing off their extra BS 6 Phase 1. And this will depend from dealer to dealer only. BS6 Phase 2 will start from April.

You couldn’t be more wrong. If we stick to this feature then the indicator will only be given when the steering is actually turned to take a turn which is very late indication for the other cars. Indicator should be given well before taking a turn so that the car near you knows that you are about to change direction.

3 days back I was in Baroda in Gujarat I saw 2 MG Hector camouflaged I think it was the testing of this face-lift.
Me havin sharp cvt hector 2021 model. Its been 1 n half year now. No such issues of discomfort . Build quality is superb. Ride quality is awesome.

Looks like China will give a TV in place of infotainment screen....it it's 3rd generation.
Automatic turn indicator is waste as turn indicator is activated 15-25 mtr before turn. Sudden turn indicator is a safety issue. There is lots of minor turn in city driving conditions. They should have provided automatic corner light, which is useful in sharp turn and hilly road.
Tata should see this and understand....that big grill is so important for good looks
Compare with Xuv 700 Luxury AWD 7 st Diesel as soon as possible. Recently bought xuv.🤩

Enjoy watching you videos. A request, can you all run a campaign for the use of High Beam and Low Beam. Everyone is driving on high Beam, making very difficult for vehicles coming from opposite side. Unfortunately drivers of higher end vehicles, which have strong LED lights are also ignorant about how to use High Beam and Low Beam. The funny part is that if you flash your lights to request to lower the Beam, they flash back at you and keep the light on High Beam. Please consider. Thanks & Regards.

MG is not revealing how are they addressing the BS6 phase 2 engine issue which is legally compulsory from 1st April 2023. All other manufacturers have released the new engine details. How can they launch a facelift with an engine which will have to be changed in 2 months?

Worst service experience with MG Car dealership Indore. Asked to do periodic service and requested to change engine oil, filter clean, cooling check but they did nothing and delivered the vehicle to me without any service and charged the amount as well.
